"Are you pumped, dear?"
Aunt Lydia is so unintentionally funny and it kills me every time
Please note that Iâm only on s3e4 of THT, so thereâs info I donât have, but I have a very brief theory/HC abt aunt Lydia. Mild spoilers below.
I think Aunt Lydia suffered a traumatic brain injury when Emily attacked her. That could explain her lack of emotional control in S3E4. Of course, there could be a ton of explanations for that, but I think it makes a lot of sense. Aunt Lydia doesnât typically lose her temper in such public, social situations. Much less with Janine. TBIs can cause problems with emotion control and anger issues.
Just a thought that crossed my mind.
"I don't want to be on meds for the rest of my life" couldn't be me. I will offer to personally suck off any team of scientists that manages to come up with a singular new medication for my condition that works and has no side effects I can't live with.
I never âwantedâ to be on medication for my whole life, but I will go through a literal saw trap before willingly giving up my seroquel
The Handmaid's Tale (Series) is an unflinching, brutal, beautifully written and produced show about misogyny and the state of America, and we should treat it as a serious art piece that can teach us a great deal.
But by GOD, Serena so very clearly has the hots for June.

ANNA RIPLEY SUPREMACY
I love headcanoning my faves at having chronic illnesses, allergies, neurodivergencies, mental conditions, physical differences, etc EVEN IF ITS NOT RELEVANT TO THE STORY!!!! I love those little details! I love imagining them as being like me or my friends!
Ok but the idea of Ripley and cass putting aside their differences in order to team up and bug the crap out of the briarwoods
Iâm gonna say to yall what I said to my friend earlier.
I really like writing Ripley as being semi professional and even somewhat gentle with cassandra bc it's a rly cool parallel to how she is with percy. It's personal with him. Sheâs obsessed with his intellect and will do anything to get him to team up with her.
Cassandra is more in line with a typical teen. Of course, sheâs younger than Percy anyway, but I imagine sheâs not the overt prodigy that he is. Her intelligence is still taking root and specialising.
So Ripley doesnât have anything personal with her. Her ego isnât threatened by this kid the briarwoods decided to keep, and I donât see Ripley as being super petty with just anybody. So itâs fun to imagine this completely different side of Anna.
Also, I get to write ridiculous shit like this.
Ik this spits in the Face of canon, but GOD I wish Ripley and cass interacted more. It would be so interesting.

The Woman from The Road, they could never make me hate you
I think Alain and Helena would be really fond of The Little Prince by Antoine De Saint-ExupĂŠry. Seems like their style.
she would not smoke but the visual was too funny in my head. might do Astrid next
Mildly embarrassed by the fact that you can slap âDr.â In front of a female character and Iâll almost certainly be on my knees
HIGHLY EDUCATED WOMEN IN STEM MY BELOVED
(This is not automatically a sexual thing so please F off)
I know this is a meme about a painting, but this is legit how I see The Road by Cormac McCarthy (2006)

Some of my happiest memories are from worlds that never really existed
(Tagging w multiple disorders bc they all contributed to this for me)
My family is not homophobic. I have a small circle of LGBT friends. I came out in middle school and was more or less accepted (though told to talk about it a bit less, as I was one of those so-called âcringe GSA kidsâ).
But as I got older, I began to feel shame about my identity. I donât exactly want to be straight, but with how deeply ingrained homophobia is in society, it is hard not to grieve. How easy it would have been to know from day one that I could like girls. I thought gay people were exceedingly rare, and I didnât understand why I wasnât interested in boys in the way my classmates were.
Self acceptance isnât always a linear journey.
