Thinking about Jinlintai-era Xue Yang again and man we as a fandom really moved on too quickly from the fact that Xue Yang canonically kinda does cannibalism. Like sure, an argument could be made that he only does it...performatively? Cannibal Cultural Appropriation? I guess. You know for show, just to get on Jin Guangyao's nerves and be an edge lord. But regardless he was certainly engaged in cannibalism to some kinda degree.

Anyway, there's so much symbolic potential there, just untapped.
