oh no why would jensen just accept playing a character who is in love with a nazi. maybe bc he isn't a freaking child and knows the kind of character he is playing. people are so dumb that they constantly woobify soldier boy. you think he is just another "dean" character he is playing when essentially the character is meant to be a fascistic figure of the 50s. he is not some innocent wallflower that got brainwashed. he is constantly presented with choices to make, to do the right thing but he never did.

maybe you watched s5 with your eyes closed but i didn't. you see the whole season shows how lonely he is. how he has no friends and the only family he has left is a son who is a weakness and a disappointment to him. he is too weird for him to understand and yet someone he can't bring himself to kill. he is constantly talking about his sexcapades like they are some achievements when all he is trying to do is relive that old glory that is gone forever. he gets attached to clara like a mythical figure and sanctifies her.

he is a layered and interesting character with parallels and differences with homelander. i have my qualms with s5 but soldier boy isn't one of them tho i am not a fan of where his story ended.

anyways back to this selective moral outrage being done by certain sections of spn fandom who wants to bully jensen into believing what they want him to believe and gets triggered by the fact that the man has an opinion of his own that a fan asked for. the entire issue is that fans especially the destiel fans for a month have been trying to cancel jensen over a fictional ship and then trying to gaslight people into thinking they aren't doing it. tbh I think destiel fans are just mad they can't bully jensen anymore. that no matter what they do, they are the ones who actually end up looking stupid. they are throwing tantrums the same way jared and his fans were few years ago.

and their tantrums have no material affect on jensen or or his career anymore. as someone who is barely active on twitter or tumblr these days, I can tell you that nobody cares about this. I don't either but somehow old habits die hard. I am ecstatic not bc I hate destiel as a ship or anything. I just like that the bullies are crying.

if your queer representation and your homophobic allegations start and end at a fictional ship from a tv show that ended 6 years ago featuring 2 straight white male actors then maybe you need to look in yourself in the mirror and ask yourself, "what the fuck am i doing?"
