Songs I would love to see used for Byler edits as someone who can't edit but has ideas:
-crying by roy orbison (it suits Will's pov/pining. i'd be obsessed. Could use the Mike resting his hand on top of Will's scene and match it with the lyrics "but the touch of your hand can start me crying")
-always something there to remind me by naked eyes (hear me out: a plot twist edit that starts with el and mike that transitions to will and mike to emphasize the point that will haunts the narrative of the m*leven relationship)
-holding out for a hero by bonnie tyler (i said this one before but it suits mike's pov. could put the "superman" line he uses over the final scene of vol 1 s5 )
-close as strangers by 5sos (this song reminds me of their dynamic in s4 and would serve as the ultimate angst)
-start over by 5sos (don't have much of a reason for this one. in my head, i take it as a will doesn't want to start over and move on from mike)
-long long time by linda ronstadt (THISSSS SONGGGG. It's the perfect Will pov. "i've done everything I know to try and make you mine. and i think im gonna love you for a long, long time" OR "caught in my fears, blinking back the tears. i can't say you hurt me when you never let me near" OR "I never drew one response out of you. all the while you fell all over girls you never knew" just such an angsty anthem)
- she's got you by patsy cline (no one yearns like will byers and no one sings about it like patsy cline)
-lovesong by the cure (i'm sure this one could already exist so someone point me in that direction please 💔)
-there is a light that never goes out by the smiths ("to die by your side is such a heavenly way to die")
-in your eyes by the weeknd (it reminds me of the will lying about the painting scene)
-infinity by one direction (i just listened to it. no further reasoning)
