Saw a legend up close and personal tonight - David Byrne in American Utopia.

RIP to my sweet girl and little white shadow Miette (2003-2020).

Born in 2003 in Chicago, she was a gorgeous kitten, the pick of the litter.

She dearly loved her brother PJ, who she lost in 2013.

They used to share the food bowl, passing it back and forth until it was empty.

She was my favorite model for my photography...

...and she was funny. Always making me laugh.

We were the best of friends.

This is the last picture I’ll ever take of her, and that breaks my heart. But she had a long and wonderful life and I was lucky to be a part of it.

Last week we got a private behind-the-scenes tour of The Pantheon in Paris!

We had to climb a seemingly neverending set of spiral stairs to the roof. There was hundreds of years of graffiti up there, including this excellent turn of the century example of a dick drawing.

From there we climbed into the dome, where we could closely inspect its mural, and then took the stairs to the top of that where we had an unobstructed, 360º view of the entire city of Paris.
