         “   WHOA   !   ”   immediately,  his hands flew up in surrender and he took several baby steps backwards.  in all honest, scorpius never could figure out why she acted the way she did towards him.  as far as he could remember, he wasn’t rude to her or her family.  it couldn’t have anything to do with the fact that his best   (   and probably only   )   friend happened to be albus, right   ?   “   rose,  listen. i just wanted to know if you could help me study charms.   ”   he paused before starting again,  this time,  rambling more.   “   i’ve just never been that great with charms.  i’m incredibly awful when it comes to classes like that.  it   —   it’s completely fine if you say no and i understand.   ”   no he kind of doesn’t.   “   i really do. please, if you could help me   ?   ”

         things  had  settled  down  far  too  much  for  cassius’  liking.  but  with  the  start  of  school  fast  approaching  he  had  to  get  back  into  the  swing  of  hiding  out.  classes  were  going  to  start  soon,  he  had  to  reestablish  himself  as  the  favourite  teacher  of  the  group.  so  he  thought  he  might  start  it  out  with  a  RIDDLE  that  he’d  seen  in  a  book.  ❛  what’s  green  &  red  &  goes  round   &  round  ?  ❜

          “   is this a RIDDLE   ?   ”   he marked his page in the astronomy book he was reading and looked at cassius.  “   oh,  i love riddles.  ”   green, red, & round & round.   the words were repeated and picked apart in his mind as he tried to come to a solution.   scorpius frowned the slightest.  nothing.  well,  at least nothing that makes sense to him.   “   damn,  i don’t know.   what is it   ?   ”
