In the face of loss, Pete would always remember Bradley's laugh, the sound of a life lived. Full body and high-pitched, a remnant of his father he never grew out of. A toddler on stubby legs, or a gangly teenager not yet grown into the length of his limbs, Bradley's laugh was a scene Pete would never grow tired of painting again and again. A record he would play on repeat until the diamond needle wore out. Maverick crashes into Rooster at full speed, sending him crashing down in a flurry of snow. "What the hell are you doing here?"
For @topgundrabble's "Dead Wife Montage (with a twist)".
