Blake landed on the slate and quickly spun on her heels. Someone was following her, she was almost sure of it. Sun had tried keeping up with her, but his stealth could be somewhat lacking. This person, this person was good. She scanned rooftop to rooftop to no avail. If her stalker wanted her, then they would have to come get her. The deserter huntress jumped down to street level.

As Blake was crossing the road, her ears twitched towards the humming sound of a well maintained engine. Drawing Gambol Shroud, she faced the oncoming motorbike. It was approaching at high speed. Once it was close enough, the faunus leaped and flipped over it, during which she glanced to see there was no rider.

After she landed, the bike crashed and fell on its side. It was Bumblebee. However, Blake had little time to process that, as something collided heavily with her skull, right between her cat ears. The impact shattered the road, and in place of the now dissipated clone stood Yang. 

“Yang? What are you doing here?” The real Blake stood atop her ex-teammates bike. Yang didn’t even respond with so much as a grunt, she just launched herself at Blake again. Again, Blake retreated a short distance. And again, Yang charged her, swinging with her remaining arm. “Yang! Stop!”

“YOU LEFT ME!” The tears welled in the corner of the cripples eyes, but she just shook them off and kept fighting. Despite her injury, Yang was just as much of a skilled fighter as she had always been. In fact, she might even be better. She swung Ember Celica, used the momentum and her dis-balance to flip herself into a kick, then another punch. Not a single wasted movement.

Having given up on reasoning, and only being able to deflect and block so much, Blake exhaled. She would have to fight back, as much as it pained her to be facing someone she cared so much for. Blake threw off her coat and wielded Gambol Shroud’s sheath in one had, the katana in the other.

The two ex-classmates poised themselves for the fight to really begin. Yang broke stance first and rushed in. Blake dodged the oncoming strike, and was bringing her blade to Yang’s stomach when Ember Celica fired, driving Yang’s elbow into the small of Blake’s back. She hit the dirt, but quickly recovered, rolling away and onto her feet.

“You just going to run?” Yang’s glare was like a harsh cliff. “I hope you aren’t going easy on me, because I won’t be so kind.”

“Yang, I don’t want to hurt you.” Blake said, as she sliced at her adversaries leg.

“WELL YOU SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT THAT BEFORE YOU LEFT ME!” Yang roared, her semblance starting to kick in.

“I ONLY LEFT BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!” Blake cried out, her voice cracking and tears streaming down her face. She couldn’t do it anymore. She was the reason Yang lost her arm. She couldn’t protect her. She could only bring more pain to the girl she cared so much for. Blake couldn’t fight the one person she loved above all else. So she just dropped to her knees.

“I know.” Yang’s voice was almost as gentle and comforting as her embrace. Blake wasn’t expecting this, but pulled Yang closer. “I may have lost my best arm, but it was nothing compared to the wound I was left with when you abandoned me. You should have stayed. You belong at my side, Blake.”

Blake soaked up Yang’s warmth, she had been cold and alone for so long. She could feel Yang’s tears dropping on her head.

“Well, well, well."  

Yang and Blake had never stood up so fast before. It was him. Just down the road sauntering towards them.

"How touching,” The terrorist jeered, then his voice hardened. “I already told you, my love. I will destroy everything you care for.”

So that was who had been following Blake. She cursed herself for leading him to Yang. Tightening her grip on Gambol Shroud, Blake moved to stand in front, but Yang put a hand on her shoulder and stepped forward.

“I’ve been looking forward to this.” Yang grinned. “Payback time.”

“Yang…” Blake was screaming internally. This was just going to go the same as it did at Beacon. “…Yang… I can’t… I can’t fight him.”
