Gentleman jack is literally the best period drama i've ever seen there's nothing that compares to it it's so carefully researched and interesting historically the characters are so entertaining and well fleshed out the costumes are absolutely a star the cinematography is classic bbc slay even the made up subplots are fantastically gripping it's got by far the best soundtrack the shooting locations are overwhelmingly real and local to northern england etc etc etc etc

my favourite thing that I learned about the voyager spacecraft today is that two days before Ann Druyan had her brain waves and heartbeat recorded to send into the universe Carl Sagan and her had confessed their love for each other and gotten engaged and so all of those feelings of being in love are out there recorded on voyager right now
