Call me woke or a hater, but I believe that Enola getting married in the third movie is complete bullshit.

When we are first introduced to Enola in the first movie, she is an independent young girl who wants to grow, discover herself, and ESPECIALLY decide her own future without depending on the men around her.

The movie is set in the 19th century, and at that time women often married for the "highest bet" and to be socially accepted, but those were never Enola's beliefs. She wanted freedom.

And yes, she does make a good couple with Tewkesbury, but the whole idea of marriage breaks the image of the independent woman that the movies had built for Enola. Her independence was never about rejecting love, but it was about rejecting the idea that her future should revolve around a man. If the third movie ends with marriage becoming the end of her story, or the movies end up with her becoming just "Tewkesbury's wife" it would be a step away from what gave her character her personality and character arc in the first place.

#I guess the new trailer proves that this is basically gonna be enola's struggle in the movie #But they're gonna have to work reaaalllyyy hard to not piss me off #Enola holmes 3

James Bond's "it's as bad as listening to The Beatles without earmuffs" line is so good for having aged so badly. It's such a time capsule of a time when James Bond's target audience was made up of men who probably loved this quip that made fun of the thing girls like. The writers didn't think of the line any more than a writer in 2010s thought about just another Twilight or One Direction joke. It's just that these days the guys who like James Bond also like The Beatles. Hilarious, 10/10.
