So, A trón is an objectively mid musical chronicling the events of 1456 July to 1458 January, it's about how Hunyadi Mátyás became king of Hungary but also about 20 other things half of which only the ~5 people here who enjoy(?) this musical hallucinated there.

General political situation in Hungary at the time:

The Ottomans are at the door, the king is 16 year old Habsburg Ladislaus V who is being puppeteered around by his uncle Cillei Ulrik/Ulrich of Celje; Cillei does not like the Hunyadi family. Hunyadi János is currently fighting the Ottomans at Nándorfehérvár/Belgrade.

And then said Hunyadi János dies, creating all sorts of political turmoil. And then his older son's (László) friends kill Cillei and thus even more political turmoil ensues, especially as Ladislaus' other evil advisor uncle, Garai, returns.

In the first song there is a prophecy and there's a love triangle in which Ladislaus and Mátyás are both into Garai's daughter, Anna, and she's into Mátyás but they are doomed heteros.

Also there's a completely fictional evil lady named Zofia who's puppeteering even the puppeteers.

Antonio Bonfini describes him in the Rerum Hungaricarum decades (Dec. IV. Book VIII.) (1497) like this:

Feel free to put the whole thing into google translate but according to this (and we have to note that Mátyás himself commissioned this chronicle in 1488, even if it was finished after his death): he was a bit taller than avarage, blonde, had dark eyes, thick eybrows, a perfect nose (whatever that means), his chin jutted out, his mouth was wide, his head was a normal size and his limbs were long.

I'd give him a 5/10? Based on this I think he was a regular looking guy, we definitely had worse looking kings, but also better looking ones.
