the sidelining of lottienat in s3 was criminal but in retrospect we were kinda eating good. eating crumbs that is, but they were meaningful!

like the 308 scene is arguably top 3 lottienat scenes ever. and lottie leading the initiative to keep ben alive but not being mad when nat kills him and instead appointing shauna as leader to save nat’s life…even when they haven’t spoken in months…and also her looking happier and smiling when she sees that nat didn’t pull the queen…god that girl is in love.

also in the adult tl we somehow managed to get crumbs with one and then both of them dead? like wow! lottie saying that she felt responsible at first for nat’s death but then she realized that they were “just giving It what It wanted.” like those post-s2 fics of lottie blaming herself but then falling into religious psychosis in the psych ward are canon…wow. and then there’s the “nat would’ve investigated lottie’s death if she lived” of it all. out of misty quigley’s mouth (the one who was there to witness nat trying to solve travis’ death because of how much she loved him, by the way) no less.

the fact that they still manage to be this tragic and tethered when they’re barely speaking to eachother in one tl and dead as fuck in the other really goes to show how deep their bond is
