“…I’m getting tired of being used as a late-night supermarket for God’s grumpiest mistake.” Cecil groaned, trudging into the back of the morgue and piling organs into a tupperware container, seemingly unaware that he wasn’t alone. “There… that should keep him out of my hair for at least a week… I hope.” He sighed, closing the lid and then pausing. “You know I know you’re in here, right?” he questioned, taking off his rubber gloves and pulling a pair of leather ones on.
“I thought you were the big grumpy dude until he came in the front door, so you’ve got about five minutes to show yourself before I call the cops.” He called, pushing a hand through messy hair and letting out a yawn. “What are you doing in a morgue, anyway? not exactly the most hopping if night time destinations, I’m here because I have to be.” he sighed, crouching down with a frown.
“Dude, get out from under there.” His eyes werebright blue despite the sleep ringing them, and he was deceptively strong, hauling Xeon out from under the table with a sigh. “Dude, seriously, you have to get out or I need “to call a cop.”
Xeon immediately started stammering out half formed explanations, shaking in the taller mans grip. He paused for a second, taking a few shaky deep breaths and counting down in his head, trying to cope with the wave of panic that had come over him.
“I-I was- I wasn’t doing anything illegal!” he finally blurted out, the sentence obviously making far more sense in his head than it did out loud. He paused, taking another deep breath and trying to hold it for a few seconds before exhaling and speaking again. “Well, I mean, not overly illegal, I kn-know I shouldn’t be down here…” he trailed off into more incomprehensible babbling.
He stopped, deciding to try and start over. “I-I’m not here to steal or break anything” he managed. “I-I was just trying to p-practice, I wanted to help” he trailed off, eyes going to the still open drawer.
