i loved the first one and really like the second one and the third one gave me the ick lol

the premise is something i obviously like since i've written it - enola being conflicted regarding her marriage with tewksbury and all it entails - but the execution was poor and it just didn't make sense. the treasure and moriarty and kidnapping plot literally does not make sense. plus tewksbury's story about his dead and treasure hunting was so heavy handed that from that moment i figured out the whole plot and was like okay :( but then the journey wasn't even good. no explanation of the tertiary players, why the fire happened, why moriarty bothered to kidnap sherlock when apparently she knew about the cave all along?? tf?? and also how. why keep them alive if not providing proof of life? or using them? trying to use sherlock and then holding tewksbury's mother's life over his head would have cleared that up and they even had the dynamic and then. didn't do it

enola saying she was running late to the wedding and tewksbury immediately knowing it was because she was second guessing the marriage even though it's enola i'd be less surprised if she was one time and also why was she getting ready at a castle miles away from everyone else. why was she alone. also on what planet would mycroft not attend enola's wedding, not because he likes her, but because of the social implications if he doesn't. tewksbury wandering around a small room on fire yelling for his mother even though she obviously is not in the room?? the intimacy of them partially undressing each other in the cabin even though they're still fully clothed and enola would not care about her underthings being seen as long as she's actually covered and it not making sense to me timeline wise - either they've shirked propriety in this way already or they're sticking to it and there's no reason to change now. also she undressed to go swimming in the ocean kept her CORSET ON. i almost turned it off i was so mad, i tightlace in corsets for renfairs and have for years and no way in hell am i swimming in a corset get that shit off. also the ending where? he just gives up his title?? for no reason? they stablish he's leading the progressive charge in parliament and that's a good thing and then he just goes fuck everybody else i'm gonna... not be titled anymore? for some reason? it was dumb. also i liked john but the fact they dont have john and sherlock exchange a single word was incredibly weird to me. like it's not about them but they are there so. what

also unfortunately i think millie's acting was worse because she can't move her face properly. that and the weirdly modern makeup and WEDDING DRESSES that was not present in the previous movies was very distracting to me
