I need some opinions on important birds mentioned in the Wheel of Time

Obviously the Red Eagle of Manetheren, the Golden Crane of Malkier, the heron, and I'm thinking a falcon for Faile. Should I use a raven and hawk as well? Hawk for Hawkwing, the Seanchan, or Berelain/Mayene

Many of the wheel of time references to real world myths and legends are very subtle but then every so often they do something like make a big magic hammer and you go 🫵 Thor

I'm confronted with the fact that all of my other projects (besides the one I'm working on right now) I really really really don't want to do.

Anyways I have paint all over my body and I'm currently working on a really fun project that I will post when it's done but it's taking forever and I have to wait hours for the paint to dry in between coats so I guess I could work on remaking my mat peg doll and making the two other nutcrackers in the down time

It's very funny re-reading Winter's Heart with full awareness of the rest of the series.

Five hundred men of the Deathwatch Guards had come off the ships and remained in Ebou Dar for some reason.

Tuon, Mat. It's because Tuon's there.

The ordinary sort of crime expected in any large city had fallen off dramatically under the Seanchan, but the Guards took to patrolling the streets as if they expected cutpurses, bullyboys and maybe fully armed bands of brigands to spring out of the pavement.

Indeed, Mat. I'm sure this increased police activity has nothing at all to do with you meeting the new management last chapter while looking like you'd been attacked in the street (because you were).

Thom Merrilin deserves an award for surviving the quartet of chaos. This man barely escaped with his life during the Great Cauthor road trip only to be saddled with the Two Clowns of Tanchico….Salidar…. and now I think about it, Ebou Dar. THEN when he should have had time to enjoy his retirement, he ended up being an accomplice to the kidnapping of the Daughter of the Nine Moons lmao. 😭

Look, I knew that the wheel of time books were good, but nothing could have prepared me for “‘Will you shame me to the point of asking you?’

……… hello? why would you do this to me. Heartbroken and fiending. I typically really dislike stories where two characters are just suddenly in love with each other with so little screen time, and suddenly professing love to each other, but that could just be side effect of the world they are in and DAMN the nail in the coffin of “‘I will hate the man you chose, because he is not me, and love him if he makes you smile.’” ????????? Fuck you. I am in pieces.
