(Alrighty. I'm a mood, so let's do this. Curious to see if I hit the mark or if I head into left field. Data is data either way. 😈)
You look like someone who's knows they're standing on a castle made of sand. Someone who knows that your current position is precariously easy to topple. There's too many holes, too many variables to contend with, and as much as you look like you have it all together, you look like someone who's terrified of overlooking something very important and sending that sandcastle of yours crashing down. (If it hasn't already, of course.)
You look like someone who was raised religiously, used to be Agnostic and questioned God, but has only recently started to have faith once again, since the alternative for the world nowadays is terrifying to think about.
You look like someone who knows, that despite your measured logic and pragmatic thought process, believing in something you can't see like the Hail Mary is similar to believing in God. And it's terrifying.
You look like someone who needs to have as much control as possible, whether its over people or an agenda. I don't think that's a bad thing. But I do think that looking like someone who wants control is a bit of an act, isn't it? A way to have some sort of agency in the role you're currently in.
You look like someone who, despite being willing and accepting to have the world's consequences on your shoulders and despite being willing to play the villain on the world's stage, would like at least one person to see you for who you are and your efforts for what they are.
YOU LOOK LIKE...
― accepting.
" impressive... you, on the other hand, look like someone who has a lot of opinions on someone they don't really know. "
and she decides to leave it at that. they don't get to hear to her truths. they don't get to know the castle from which she commands the world was delivered to her as a bunch of sand no one else wanted on their hands. they don't get to know she not only had built the castle and is holding it together by pure sheer will, but that the powers that be won't let her fail, because if she does then the whole world is doomed and they all will have to pay for it ( it's the only thing they have ever agreed upon ).
they don't get to know about her faith. they don't deserve to hear about how it has always been easier to believe in something than to believe in nothing. they will never know emptiness has always been a harder pill to swallow ( her nightmares have alway been the same: a starless sky and a barren earth, swallowing her whole ).
but most definitely, what they will never know, never hear her say is that she already has a person who sees her. she didn't went looking for him, she's not that narcissistic but, since she found him, she can't help but to feel a weight has been lifted from her shoulders ( the sun is getting dimmer, but his smile warms her good enough ).
