So because there was already a live action movie made with real Asians any subsequent interpretations are fair game for whitewashing?? That makes no sense. ‘The English version should have a white person?’ Does it hurt you so bad to see people that don’t ~represent your race~ in a movie about Asian people? Perhaps stick to movies about white people if you can’t bear to see people of another race cast in a movie that takes place in fucking Japan. You certainly wont have any shortage of movies to choose from since white people dominate the film industry in the U.S. Dear white people: NOT EVERYTHING IS ABOUT YOU.

So Japan isn’t apart of the modern world, there are no Japanese people that can speak English, works set in and made in Japan by Japanese people aren’t somehow Japanese and movies can’t have more than 2 Asian actors because they’ve met the quota.
