“That is truely the best idea I’ve ever heard. Why do we always need to be the middle man?” 

“Probably because the gods breed us to be their little pawns and fight combat when we’re literally just teenagers,” Sawyer replied. “I feel like the monsters just fighting it out against each other is the true choice that should be made.”

“Are you kidding?” she raised a brow as she picked up the spoon to dig into the tub. “It’s one of the best flavors to ever exist.”

“Thank you! Finally someone who has some taste.”

“Of course. Let’s sneak in. It’ll be easy.”

“How do you think I stole this tub of ice cream?”

“I wouldn’t blame you if you did but sharing is caring after all right?”

“Yes it is. Well, unless you poison it, but don’t worry, the ice cream isn’t poisoned.”

“I don’t really,” Juniper said, “If you ever told me your favourite ice cream flavour, I wasn’t listening,” Juniper said, “But I’m in.”

“Yeah, but I feel like I just scream Mint Chocolate Chip is my favorite ice cream flavor.”

“Sure,” PJ said, rolling his eyes in amusement and starting to run.

Sawyer kept up with Pj on their run, occasionally shoving his shoulder lightly and passing him a few feet ahead, teasingly. “Keep up Simons.”

“You’re talking to a demigod in a camp designed to train us to fight. I think that question has an obvious answer doesn’t it?”

“Yeah, but we’re going to the mess hall. Who are you going to fight there?”

PJ certainly thought about it but he did need a run so he got dressed and met her outside, “Try and keep up, okay?”

“Keep up? Please, running is my middle name.”

“That does sound like a good time,” Raine gave in with a sigh. “Alright, count me in!”

“Good,” Sawyer replied, putting the tub in between them. “I hope you like mint chocolate chip.”

Juniper opened her mouth to say no but then hesitated, “What flavour?” She asked through narrowed eyes.

“Mint chocolate chip, it’s like you don’t even know me.”

“Oh, ice cream!” Dakota said, “I am so in!”

“Good, because I’d hate myself if I ate all of this by myself.”

“Only if we can get sprinkles,” Harmony said before laughing and adding, “Kidding. I’m in either way but we should totally try and find toppings.”

“I don’t have sprinkles, but I’m sure there’s some somewhere in the kitchens.”

“Count me in! You know, there is an old saying about turning down ice cream.” She joked as she moved over to create room for the other.

“An old saying? And what is that?”

“Alright, if you say so,” PJ said and got up, “Okay, give me two minutes and I’ll be ready for a run.”

“Okay, you have two minutes, don’t be going back to sleep now,” Sawyer replied, leaving the room to wait for PJ.
