Rix was happy. Since confessing his feelings to Addison, they had fallen into some sort of routine. As before, he didn't push her to anything she wasn't ready for. This was her speed and he only understood a small part of her trauma from his own experiences. He had no idea how long it would take for her to feel completely safe again - even if she saw him as safe - but he was willing to wait as long as it took. Many nights, they found themselves on the sofa, watching a movie. Hendrix did nothing more than wrap an arm around her and let her decide how close she wanted to be. The last thing he remembered on this particular night was planting a kiss on her temple and resting his head atop hers as they were halfway through one of Addison's movie picks. Next thing he remembered, Rix was waking up feeling comfortable and warm and safe. He couldn't remember the last time he had slept so well and wasn't plagued by insomnia or nightmares. It took him several minutes to wake up more fully and realise just where he was. He was still on the sofa, arm wrapped around Addison. At some point between kissing her on the temple and the end of the movie, they had fallen asleep - the screen in front of them long timed out from lack of activity - and every limb had become tangled with the other's. Panic set over Hendrix. Outside of a hug, this was probably the most intimate they had been. What if it was too much? Hendrix tried to untangle himself without waking her but she shifted. Suddenly, he was talking, trying to detach his legs from hers, "Addy, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen, I fell asleep. I don't even remember..."
