“I hope it has,” Lily responded, she didn’t like when her siblings- or anyone for that matter, got hurt. It reminded her of how useless she could be. At Dakota’s words she nodded, “I’ll come with,” Lily had to make sure Ciara was okay, no matter how little the injury was. “Thank you, for coming to help her.” 

Lily couldn’t believe how stubborn one person could be. “How hard is it for you to move just around the corner for the benefit of everyone?” 

“Oh, no, she hurt herself?” Lily asked, her face filled with concern. “How bad was it? I only saw her for a little bit when she was getting changed, she didn’t say she got hurt. Maybe we could try the dining pavilion?”

“Great, then you can take those reasons elsewhere, with your smoke as well! Two for one deal.” 

“That is truely the best idea I’ve ever heard. Why do we always need to be the middle man?” 

“That’s good since I have so many to give you! Honestly, you are my hero.” Lily answered, staring in amazement at her friend. “Have I ever told you how much I love you?” 

“Ooh, I can tell. Those hoops are your bougie hoops,” Lily agreed with a laugh as she took the glass as it was offered. “I feel as if I’ve seen the label, where did you get it from?” 

“I could kiss you right now, how did you do that?!”

“What are you looking for? Can I help?” 

Lilian was glad that he agreed with her, she didn’t want to be paired with someone who went looking for danger. As unlikely as it was for them, Lily just wanted to live. “Maybe we will get a new camper instead of a monster,” She suggested, looking out into the forrest as they reached the border, looking for any movement. “I never asked, how was your life outside of camp?”

“Just because I’m the only one who is saying something or looking at you a certain way doesn’t mean I’m the only one who cares.” She responded, shaking her head. It was quickly getting annoying to dodge the smoke. “Why are you trying to kill yourself faster?” 

Maybe she shouldn’t have asked, Lily didn’t like the answer. She knew it was their duty as children of the Gods but Lily was waiting for the day someone would say, ‘Gotcha!’ and everything would be okay again. “Well, I don’t know about you, but I’m hoping it was a bunny.” 

“I’m not the only one who is bothered by it, seriously, can’t you go anywhere else?” 

“Hm? Oh, did you not want me to comment on it? I must have missed that memo.” Lily said, tilting her head at her sister. “What are we drinking?” Lily asked, not taking much for her to give in. 

Lily felt bad for mentally dropping out of the conversation, she did, but most of the times she couldn’t help it. Sometimes her ADHD was more of a curse than a blessing to help her fight. Lilian gave Ariel a smile, looking at her as she spoke trying to prove that she was paying attention this time. “Really? How so?” Lily asked, “If anything, seeing everyone again is making me more worried.” 

Lily sighed, making a face at the cloud of smoke that was moving towards her face. She brought her hand up to her face and wove it in front of her trying to dissolve it before it hit her. “Jury is still out on that. Do you have to smoke here? Don’t you have a whole camp?” 

“Hopefully not,” Lily replied with a small sigh. This wasn’t particularly her definition of fun, she enjoyed training as much as any other demigod at camp but she’d be the first to admit she wasn’t always a winner. “Have you seen much on your watches?”
