“Are you seriously trying to talk about my love life?” Silas questioned. “Last time I checked you didn’t have a significant other just like me.”

“Yes, I seriously am,” Savannah said, crossing her arms over her chest. “How would you know if I was seeing someone, huh? Maybe I am in secret. You’ll never know. Now back to you and your lack of romance- I’m a little worried, Si. Is there just no one you’re interested in? ‘Cause I totally get that.”

“I don’t know really,” Spencer replied. “I don’t think she’s even into any magical jobs or anything. She’s really into racing, but I don’t know if she’s raced before.”

“Hmm. Well, at least it’ll only be one year, right? I mean, that’s not so bad. I’m sure it’ll go by super fast.”

“There are a few of em out there.” April pointed out. “Well then you better get dancin’, gotta make memories somehow.”

“Dancing, yes,” Sav nodded. She started out to the dance floor before turning to April again. “You wanna join me or are you just gonna stand over here like a bump on a log?”

Julia shrugged. “Maybe. How was your Christmas?”

“It was good. My Nana flew in from California and stayed for a few days, and I watched way too many Hallmark Christmas movies.”

“I? What? What’s up?” Amy questioned, looking on her back. “Is there something on me?”

“Well, I thought there was, but there’s not. I think it was your hair. Or maybe it was the pattern on your shirt and how you moved.”

“Well, you just gotta find someone hot to date who does work for the government.” April shrugged. “But enjoying the Ilvermorny gala sounds like a good plan, too.”

“Of course, silly me. Dating a hot government worker is the obvious solution,” Sav laughed. “And I definitely plan to enjoy this. Especially since it’s my last. I need it to be the most memorable one yet.”

“Yeah, I guess. She’s friendly, which helps. But I guess it’s just as awkward for her as it is for Jordan and me.”

“Maybe this summer will be great bonding time.”

“I’ve been well. I haven’t been doing much other than trying to keep up with the huge amounts of homework we have. Christmas was good. Different, having a stepmom there, but still good.” 

“Yeah, the homework I could’ve done with less of,” Sav agreed. “I’m glad to hear you had a good Christmas, though! Even if it was kind of weird. Do you at least get along with your stepmom?” 

“Yeah, and then this year I’m going to loose Siobhan,” Spencer replied. “I’m really bad at dealing with that stuff. You’re lucky Silas is still around, even though it’s kind of weird that he’s teaching us now.”

“Yeah, it’s weird but I’m glad he did the whole TA thing. If he hadn’t, I’d just visit him in Elkhorn every weekend and any chance I got. D’you know what Siobhan wants to do after graduation?”

“There’s always the Presidential Ball if you get into government work.” April shrugged. “I heard that that’s kind of fun. Or at least the music is good.”

“Oh, yeah, I forgot about that. Too bad I don’t wanna work for the government,” Sav shrugged. “Guess I’ll just have to thoroughly enjoy this while it lasts.”

“I really like your dress. Are you sad this is gonna be your last school gala?”

“Aw, thanks,” Savannah grinned. “Yeah, kinda, I mean the Galas are always something to look forward to. I feel like I’ll miss the preparation for it the most, though. I don’t honestly know how often stuff like this happens outside of Ilvermorny.”

Spencer straightened out her dress. “Are you sure I look okay? I feel weird,” she said to the redhead. “Usually I have Sylar help me out, he’s really good at the whole confidence thing, but of course he had to graduate.”

“You look incredible, Spence, honestly,” Sav smiled. She reached out to fix a stray hair, nodding as the other girl spoke. “Yeah, it sucks when they do that, huh?”

“Look at that – we match, and we didn’t even have to coordinate.” 

Savannah chuckled, “We sure do. You, me, and at least ten other people.”
