Savannah looked at Yotsuyu surprised. She had thought sheâd want to avoid things that would remind her of her old life, but if she really wanted to help that much, she wouldnât deny it. She smiled at the woman. âIâll let the Scions know. It probably wouldnât be best to spy on anything Garlean, but we might be able to use your help in other places.â
At Yostsuyuâs words about Zenos, Savannah felt herself going into Warrior of Light mode, the part of her that felt like she had to put on an act so as not to worry others. âWorry not, Yotsuyu. Should I face off with Zenos, or what is currently inhabiting Zenos, I will be well prepared.â
Savannah grinned when she said she wasnât feeling that weak. She was thankful for the hard work of the healers. âIâm glad. Iâll talk to the others about moving up to transport if youâd prefer.â
Savannah paused, more hesitant. âThere is one other matter we need to discuss.â She sighed. âItâs about Gosetsu. Heâs⌠expressed wanting to go with you. Says you should have someone with you to guide you.â Savannah fidgeted with her hands. âI fear he still believe you to be Tsuyu, though Iâve tried to tell him heâs not exactly right. And while I have no problem as you are now, you have every right to choose who you want to be from this point on. Yotsuyu, Tsuyu, or something else. Mostly⌠I just donât want some elseâs expectations for you to eclipse your own wants and desires or to influence all your decisions.â She smiled. âHowever, Iâm glad some of your decisions have been to help the Scions.â
Well, as far as I was concerned, being a spy didnât necessarily involve having to sleep with about everyone AGAINâŚthat already saved me a lot of uncomfortable moments. It was true that my experience with getting information was too related to seduction, however, but if it ever ended up being useful for something, well, I would be open to use my charm for it.
âNothing Garlean. But I assure you, getting information from the most simple-minded people is rather easy. I donât need to say I donât approach people like a shinobi and the like. I am more direct, if that even can be useful.â After knowing the stories about the Warrior of Light, however, I could honestly trust that Savannah would be able to become strong enough to face Zenos and win, so all I did was look down for a moment before trying to relax my shoulders a little.
âIf it would be too rushed, I am fine waiting until tomorrow. To move, I mean. Nothing bad will happen to me if I spend another night here.â To a point. I knew I had my own night terrors to face once asleep, but it was nothing to trouble people with.
On the other hand, the moment that Gosetsu was mentioned, I actually could feel more worry building inside of me. Savannah was right, Tsuyu was goneâŚwith all my memories recovered I simply couldnât just ignore my whole life, the things I did, or the person I was.
Looking back at the Viera, I let out a deep sigh while my frown deepened slightly.
âI wouldnât mind if he wanted to come, but I absolutely wouldnât want to be babysittedâŚI need him to understand I am not Tsuyu. I am Yotsuyu, nowâŚI can understand why he wouldâve been so kind with me when I lost my memories, but even now?âŚI am the cruel monster that shot him so the giant ceiling of a castle could fall over all of us.â It didnât help at all that his kindness has made me want to open my throat beforeâŚI just donât deserve all of this treatment. âI still donât even know why all of you are helping meâŚto start anew. Starting anew is not going to wash all the things Iâve done.â
âIâll keep it in mind and relay it to the Scions. Thank you Yotsuyu.â Though she wasnât sure she cared for calling them âsimple-mindedâ she understood what Yotsuyu meant.
âIâll look into chartering a ship for tomorrow then.â Savannah said with a smile.
Savannah listening intently to what Yotsuyu said. She was surprised to hear that Yotsuyu had shot him to have the castle crush them, but nodded. âI understand. Iâll talk with him. But just so you know... by agreeing to help, and working towards helping others, doesnât make you the same monster as before. Youâre not the same Yotsuyu.â
Savannah looked down sadly at her hands. âI understand what you mean, truly. Sins donât wash away so easily. All we can do is move forward to do the next right thing and hope that we can make up for it one day.â She smiled at Yotsuyu. âAnd I do believe saving you was the right thing.â
