The Beastly Hero

Himiko's moon-silver blades had been stained to an eclipse red. Blood had been spilled, her own included. How long had they been fighting now? Five minutes? Ten? This American...what was he even doing in Japan? He didn't have jurisdiction here. Yet once he caught sight of her, he had run her down, a hound on the scent. She'd wanted to hack his nose off and send him running back to wherever he'd come from. He was more persistent than that.

"Don't you know," she inquired, "that if a girl runs off, you shouldn't bother chasing her?"

She was tired. Her specialty was assassinations, guerilla tactics. Prolonged battles like this were not her thing. One of her messy buns was loose, and deep scratches made sanguine streams down her arms. If she could get a little further into Kamino, Tomura could take care of this lout.

He was large, almost twice Himiko's size. Covered in brown fur with a scorpion tail, an alligator's jaw, bat ears, ram horns and claws akin to katana blade on his hands. By appearance alone, he would have made for a great villain. So then why was he playing the role of Hero? Shit, even his gear was designed to limit his abilities, rather than heighten them.

Conner pounced at Toga, attempting to swat at her with his sheathed claws.

Looking at the beast, his features were quite notable. Brown fur, horns, sharp teeth, sword-like claws on each finger and a scorpion’s tail. Sure, his Hero uniform had claw sheathes and a device over his stinger, but it’s easy to look at him and think ‘Villain’...

However, as soon as he noticed the slight stutter in Deku’s voice, his eyes went wide as he stepped back. “S-sorry, am I in your space?” He asked, concerned “I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable! I just...Ugh! Stupid, Conner! Stupid!”

Thinking about others. Definitely not the the trait of a Villain.
