kinda want to rewrite my NaNo from 2017 specifically to make it more self-indulgent. and meaner to the protagonist.

been trying to remember more of my dream all day - there was one part of it that was very vivid and i recall being super fascinated and absorbed, but i've forgotten everything else about it, sadly. all i can remember now are pieces of other dreams, like one where i was at someone's house and chatting with a teenage boy who lived there. he was Russian and spoke the language and somehow i also knew Russian, but i was keeping that to myself for a while because i wanted the perfect moment to bring it up (it was a somewhat flirty conversation, which would be weird if i didn't think i was also a teenager in the dream... and a boy, but that happens all the time). his bedroom wall had a built-in shelf that was open on both sides, so you could see through it to the hallway; i thought it was cool but disliked the lack of privacy. and in the other brief dream, i was residing in a college dorm and there was some kind of event happening that evening. i debated not attending because i had nothing to wear - valid tbh because my wardrobe was and irl is the most boring worn-out shapeless bullshit possible. however, a girl who lived on the same floor offered to lend me something and i fell completely in love with a shirt and skirt she had that were both blue and speckled with gold and silver stars (the skirt had quite a lot of tulle but i was willing to forgive that because i am a basic bitch who loves stars). the girl gave them to me and i happily skipped off to get changed... by entering a completely random room and going into their closet?? i guess it was more of a storage room. even had its own little window. it was full of boxes and stuff; i saw an old cabinet against the wall and realized behind the glass doors were loads of tools and ink and whatnot for making linocuts and letterpress printing. i wanted to take a picture with my phone, but couldn't find the light switch... then the girl who lived in the room came in. she didn't have much of a reaction to me using her closet as a dressing room lol. the end.
