I really just want to ask Marvel/Feige/Russos….
Why do they hate Loki so much? And his fans? Don’t write what they’re doing off as nothing but uncreative ignorance. This is malicious erasure of a beautifully complex, tragic character, one that has given people who are outcasts, broken, misfits, and/or abuse survivors, someone they can identify with and idolize and find strength in.
The fact that they’re rewriting and retconning him to be nothing more than just a generic, one-off villain with no development…. I don’t even know what to say.
I am past angry at this point: I am heartbroken, and disappointed. And once again I have to deal with feeling abandoned. Because that’s what this is:
Marvel is abandoning, and ostricizing, the Loki fandom. They’re kicking us out of their family because Loki is “just too hard to write”.
And all I want to know is
Why?
