“Why recolor/redesign the gay flag?” The most popular redesign, Vincian flag (here), is a recolor of the lesbian flag! Many have expressed their discomfort on that, and that the flag colors are based off of predominately viewed ‘masculine’ colors. Being gay is not inherently masculine, and it’s not inherently feminine.

“Whats wrong with the Rainbow flag?” Many gay people, including myself, view the flag now more as an umbrella flag. Meaning that the flag can be used by both gay and lesbian people, and anyone else in the community who isn’t straight. Many gay people have expressed wanting a unique flag that only they can use!

“Do we have to use this flag?” No! It is entirely up to you on whichever gay flag you’d like to use!

“Who can use this flag?” Anyone who identifies as gay! MLM, NBLM, GNCLM, ect! As long as you identify as gay, you can use it!

“What can we use this flag for?” Anything! You can use it for icons, backgrounds, edits, designs, ect! Anything you want to use it for.

“Do we have to credit if used?” It’d be appreciated, but not necessary! As long as you have reblogged or retweeted mine or my bf’s posts about the flag, then you’re good to go! Of course, if someone asks what flag it is please link them any of our posts about it.
