you.
I never got to read the last message you sent, only the preview that popped up before you blocked me. There was so much left unsaid. We struck up such a friendship and so fast! It wasn’t long before I started opening up about my personal life, which in turn had you talking about yours. It was always easy talking to you, a stranger on the internet. I still struggle to remember many of our conversations but I remember the important ones. We were both in toxic relationships at the time, both of us wanting to be done but neither of us could make it happen. You explained to me over and over again, that I didn't, deserve the things I was being put through, that I should leave. So many others had suggested it too. I didn’t listen to them but after a while talking to you, I felt it was finally time. I fell into what I can only describe as the darkest time of my life and you helped me keep my head above water. We spoke every single day. I was depressed, even though I knew I'd made the best decision. I wasn’t sleeping at night and fell into repetitive motions. Everyday I got up and went to work, id sleep away my lunch break, come home and go straight to bed and conversations with you filled the cracks between. You were in the UK and I the U.S. so time difference was awful and hard on us both. Anyway, this post wasn't meant to be about dwelling, more so raw feelings and writing. I wanted to make a post, so that if by chance, one day you find my page again, that I could say thank you.
Thank you firstly for being my friend. Thank you for helping me realize that i deserved so much more in life. Thank you for helping me find the courage to put an end to that awful relationship and most of all thank you for helping me save my children from a childhood full of hurt.
When you sent your final message telling me how you felt, I was so lost. It was hard for a while. Id lost my friend and I didn't understand what id done wrong. Now 2 years later I know that it wasn't anything that id done at all. It was a boundary that you had set and I respect that decision. I still think about you, mostly on my long drives to work, when Coldplay comes across my playlist.
In the last few years, I've had my fair share of relationship hiccups. I've finally found someone whos like no one I’ve ever been with. I’ve fallen deeply in love. Our relationship is constantly growing. We have open communication, mutual respect, trust and tons of support.
Thank you again for being a piece of the puzzle that led me where I am today. I’ve grown so much, I hope that you have a healthy relationship now, whether you rekindled and reworked what you had or started from scratch with someone new.
Warm wishes - Sassy
