Ten minutes ago Stierlitz stopped the car. He felt he was falling asleep right at the wheel. He hadn’t slept for almost two days. He decided he must sleep for at least half an hour, otherwise he wouldn’t get to Berlin. Half an hour… Ten minutes have passed. He slept heavily and peacefully. But in exactly twenty minutes he would wake up. It was also one of his habits he had worked out throughout the years. He would wake up and head to Berlin.
