I couldn't find whether you'd decided on animals for the rest of the characters in Heathers, would love to hear if you've chosen animals for the Heathers in particular!
i actually thought of many different animals for them. big cats, dog breeds, domestic cat breeds, birds,, so ima just dump them all here lol
BIG CATS- yay! as an (amateur) cat nerd, i get to yap :3
maned lioness chandler. bonus points if shes a liger
chandler being the only real panther out of the three is actually important to me. shes the only one who can roar. shes king of the jungle. shes intimidating. she strikes fear into the hearts of her enemies. :3 . she probably punctures her classmates with her claws. shes menacing! shes powerful! she has an iron tight grip. she can break bones !! fear her!
cheetah mac. this is so important to me actually she lowkey embodies a cheetah.
i imagine shes always fixing her nails because cheetahs do not have retractable claws !! instead, they always have their claws out because they latch into the ground when they're running. so their claws are pretty blunt : ( this prevents them from climbing trees very high because they cant latch onto them as well as other cats can- which leads me to another yap.
i think cheetah mac has the reputation of being super athletic even though she has to struggle and work twice as hard to keep up with other cheerleaders. maybe shes not as strong, or her stamina isnt as good. idk. people think shes strong just because she's lithe, but her muscles only protrude because shes "naturally" skinny
shes also very anxious. bonus points if martha is a golden retriever and they become a duo post seventeen.
cheetahs also arent actually big cats. they are big, but they arent in the same family as lions, jaguars, leopards, etc because those animals have the ability to roar and cheetahs dont.
mountain lion duke- aka, NOT A REAL LION !!
mountain lions/cougars do not have the ability to roar either !! they sound like a dying person instead
since my last veronica design is a cougar too (well part cougar) i'd like to imagine that duke feels competitive towards veronica. she feels like shes being replaced, or overshadowed. especially since veronica is a leopard/cougar, which makes her a big cat too.
chandler being able to roar while duke can only sound like a dying woman (search: cougar screams) makes the candy store ending funnier lmao
i'd imagine that her fur is redder than veronicas.
shes beefing with JD like how cougars beef with other predators in the wild.

borzoi chandler + golden retriever mac + black cat duke. this was like back during first time i assigned the heathers cast animals so honestly idk why but it gives me 2014 vibes (prolly bc that was my first and only bootleg for a while). also elles mac gives golden retriever vibes.
