Every point Theodore Kaczynski made about the alienation and control over the poor that "technology" has brought has been made, with greater clarity of thought and purpose, by the same leftists he repeatedly disparaged, and they did it without killing people, and without advocating for the death of more than 90% of the population on planet Earth.

"Technology," in the sense that Kaczynski speaks of it, does not exist. It does not have an ideology per se. A hammer can be used to build a house or to bash a skull in, but neither of these things are inherent to it. The social organization around technology is far more important than the objects of technology.

But, of course, a 35,000 word essay by a serial killer is less threatening to the American psyche than The Communist Manifesto, even though the latter is both more salient and coherent. So here we are.
