I love your art so much! There's such a charm in your style and colors. How did you learn to draw children and babies so well? I try but they never quite look right. They just look like I messed up an adult face. Any tips?
hey, thank you so much!!! tbh, children are tricky and it took years of practice before i felt like i drew them okay--hopefully these tips are helpful to you!
using georgia and her much younger self as a guide: children have big heads in relation to their bodies, with their features mostly relegated to 2/3 or even 1/2 of the face, depending on the art style. babies and toddlers in particular almost always have large foreheads and big cheeks, no matter what their individual features are.
my children tend to lean more cherubic and cartoonish because i've always adored how rose o'neill, the creator of kewpie dolls, drew children and babies. great big eyes, small noses and mouths, etc.
that being said: as you can see with georgia above, her younger self still has fuller lips and a wider nose, they're just small in proportion to the rest of her head, if that makes sense!
https://youtu.be/SPyiNgAXEKg?si=25-_QSh4BpfG4KGR I liked this video a lot and I think you will too (if you haven’t seen it already)
The thumbnail being Scarlett O'Hara of romanticized Confederacy, Southern Civil War rewritten narrative, Gone With the Wind fame.... Oh boy let's see what we're getting into here.
Oooooh okay! Starting with an explanation of how they somehow managed to turn the inhumanity of the enslavement of Black people into pretty tourist destinations and wedding venues and something we're all supposed to just slide by instead of... Ya know. The site of endless amounts of suffering and spilled blood.
The husband and I actually went to a really nice place this spring, that turned out to be an old plantation house... Had to pour out libations and pray in apology for a bit before we walked in. God knows the amount of untold suffering that got left out of all the inn history 😅
But they made a movie about the suffering of the enslaved- 12 Years a Slave. It's a hard one for me, because I don't particularly want to see those stories anymore, not because they aren't important, but because it bothers me that they don't seem to move our society to do better. It would be different if y'all actually learned but... do you? But I mean... When you're the descendants of the people who owned my ancestors, who thought this was normal, necessary even for the sake of their comfort and even yours... Why would you wanna acknowledge that?
wikipedia no longer being anywhere near the top of search results when looking up anything feels eviscerating
#they really said “you can’t use wiki as an academic source-use our garbage AI that’s even less reliable”#and you can’t even opt out of it
no but you can FORCE it away. use ublock origin and copy paste the blacklist i made into the filters to be able to remove the bullshit AI overview that google forces. it also removes youtube's forced ads (at least until they fix it)
you can also use the ublacklist extension and use this blacklist of AI image generation websites to curate your google image results
there are ALWAYS ways around stuff. it's just a matter of looking into it and asking around

in a move that will make people on all sides mad, i would like to propose that we start creating more cis characters who got or want to get themselves gender-affirming surgeries. cis girls should get a phalloplasty if they just want a dick. cis guys should rock breast augmentations.
in an ideal world, these would just be things anyone can choose to do with their own body whenever they want, and fuck a diagnosis or a letter from your therapist. vaginoplasty is for everyone. and in that ideal world, i would hope that we’d also see this reflected in the characters we see and the stories we tell, where it’d be totally normal to have a trans guy and a cis girl realize they’ve both had top surgery and bond over how much better life is now that they don’t have to worry about tits.

Daily reminder to Americans on this website that American war on Iran is bad because Iranians are getting killed not because you can no longer afford going to the movies in the weekends or refill your car 😒
Oh for fuck’s sake, people calling out racist writing in fanfic isn’t “censorship”. I say this as a fic writer but some of you need to get off your high fucking horse.
Truly some of the most irritating culture has sprung up around fanwork and fanfic in specific like… no, making something for free does not in fact make it sacrosanct or immune to criticism! Your right to “do whatever you want forever” or say “fandom is for fun” stops the second you’re being bigoted and making fan spaces unsafe for marginalized people!
"fandom is for fun" except for poc who have to deal with rampant racism and white people unable to acknowledge let alone take accountability for their racism
Happy Pride Month! If the punchline of your joke is the idea of a pregnant man, it’s not funny. Here are some examples of jokes that you might be using without thinking that could be hurting people around you.
> “I’M GONNA GET HIM PREGNANT!”/“the boy impregnator”/anything similar where the joke is that the idea of a pregnant man is absurd, impossible, or outside of the realm of reality.
> Pregnant man emoji reactions to Discord messages.
> Commenting on the pregnancies of real men with anything about ao3, fanfiction, or omegaverse.
> Referring to a real man’s pregnancy as a butt pregnancy.
You’re completely correct. Out of my way, able-bodied losers. Fuck you.
It's called an EZRide+ and you can learn where to find them here. They're about $1100 US as of June 2026, but you might need to buy additional parts to attach them to your chair, depending on the style of chair.
Remember to put links to products like this, they're usually hard to find and a lot of people need to know they exist.

I also think that the strength gap is at least partially manufactured women would in fact be stronger overall if little girls were encouraged to do physically taxing games and activities and eat their fill while they’re growing vs having to constantly diet and be sedentary indoors (or god forbid do intense cardio while under-eating). The amount of adult women honestly afraid to lift weights bc they think they’ll get bulky as though bulking isn’t a full time job that athletes have to spend all their time on and anyone on earth gets shredded from just using their adult muscles for their intended purpose, girl your bone density 🥀
if you say women are intentionally nerfed from birth in 2026 people look at you like you’re insane and start condescendingly telling you about how women are just better at different things (but not during their periods haha) but this was a completely basic feminist talking point I grew up with like “girls can do it too! [shot of little girls climbing and running with boys]” nickelodeon commercial tier base level I hate it how is everyone suddenly dumber than the average 7 year old
After we lost @transfaguette, someone who was always in my notes with interesting insights and funny little quips, I started to feel beaten down. Then my local community lost Murry Foust and it seems like only the trans men and mascs care. I don’t want to go to Pride this year. I don’t know if I can watch a joyful parade with rainbow glitter and drag queens this year. Sometimes it truly feels like trans men are still left to die in silence just like we have for centuries
Very generally speaking, when you see a black man in a piece of media, be it tv show, movie, video game, etc. there’s something you often see a lot of writers do. To go against the stereotype of black men (and black people in general) being dumb and lazy, you’ll see this black male character being smart and an achiever.
The Black Nerd. A common character type, the nerd will always be very interested in all things nerdy: science, video games, mathematics, etc. In an continued effort to combat stereotypes, the Black Nerd will be lack athleticism, probably being asthmatic (the nerdiest of conditions). The Black Nerd will dress smartly, suspenders and bow ties. They’ll always talk smart too, using proper English with complex words.
Now, I don’t have a problem with a black character being a nerd, indeed black people are a people; we aren’t all the same and we all have varying personalities. The problem I have is that too often we see a distinct disconnect between Blackness and the Black Nerd. The Black Nerd doesn’t listen to hip hop or rap, only classical music. The Black Nerd only has white friends, the only other black characters are into not nerdy stuff. The Black Nerd never ever uses AAVE at any time in any context.
And again I must say that Black people, not being a monolith, there are no hard fast rules to being Black. I’m more than sure there are Black people like what I’ve described above, I’m not saying it’s impossible; what I’m getting at is that the only Black Nerd we see. There are Black Nerds that play basketball, that bump Kendrick Lamar, and use AAVE since it’s an ever changing dialect. I’m just saying there’s no one way of being a nerd and no one way of being Black.
Well @dumbey, seems we’re in similar boats
This ain’t about him, this is about Black/Asian solidarity. Focus.
if you think saying "trans men have gynecological body parts and are thus are affected by misogyny" is equal to saying "all trans men are actually women" then sweetheart you might be a bioessentialist
your twenties are not "late" to start hrt. that is a normal time to start hrt. your thirties are also a normal time to start hrt. your seventies are pretty late to start hrt, but not too late. like, statistically, that's at the end of the curve. but if you are not dead, it is not too late for hrt.

Monogamous people with dozens of exes and the most horrifying relationship history you've ever heard of in your entire life: "Well I just can't support polyamory, because those relationships never work out"
Hey, you, cis girl that's very (correctly) vocal about women being allowed to talk about their periods, do you include trans women in that?
I ask because every single time I've tried to talk about it to anyone that isn't a trans woman they get fucking angry. Which has caused me to have to just suffer in silence every single month. So I really relate to cis women when they talk about literally the exact same thing; being shamed by everyone around them their whole lives for talking about their periods, so they just suffer in silence every month as it negatively impacts their work and social lives. But I don't even feel like I can voice that I am literally dealing with the same exact thing because most of y'all react like you want to throw me in front of a bus for saying it, even those of you who act like your such big great transfem allies.
