Putting The Gay In Gaming

Leliana is one of my favorite Dragon Age characters and I spend a lot of time thinking about her so here’s some headcanons

- Leliana’s mother was a city elf. Literally all we know about her is that she was the servant of an Orlesian noble, and kept dried flowers in her closet. As most Orlesian servants are elves, it’s a good theory. And the flowers she liked are found in three places. Two of these places are populated by elves, Brecilan Forest and Denerim Alienage.

-On a similar note who is Leliana’s dad? She never mentions him, but if we’re believing that Leliana is elf-blooded her dad had to be human. I don’t think her dad’s dead, it’s more likely Leliana was born out of wedlock. There’s a stigma on human-elf relationships, especially in Orlais, so it’s a possibility Leliana’s father left her mother after learning she was pregnant.

-On a less depressing note, Leliana actually speaks a variety of languages. Some of this is from being a bard, some of this is from when she was a girl at court. But she and Zevran, and her and Josephine in Inquisition talk shit in Antivan all the time. 

-Leliana actually met Josephine when they were both training to be bards, and pranks were pulled on the other bards for weeks.

-The reason she likes nugs so much is that they remind her of the hairless cats the lady who raised her kept. 

-In an effort to get Schmooples socialized, she set up play-dates with Anders and Ser Pounce a Lot. 

-After the Blight, Leliana goes around twisting the stories told so the Warden has some privacy, especially if they romanced her.

Fans: Cool! One thing, can it be a little longer? We want longer shorts.

Blizzard: OK, here's a 10 minute Mei short. Longest one yet!

Fans: Yes!

Blizzard: Let's watch Mei discover she missed out on nine years. And that all her friends are dead except Snowball the drone.

Fans: What?

Blizzard: Let's watch Mei discover the organization she dedicated her life to is good as dead!

Fans: wait no...

Blizzard: She's stranded in Antarctica! With limited power! OOPS NOW THE SUPER CUTE ROBOT IS DEAD.

Fans: why would you do this?
