     “okay this isn’t what it looks like!” avalon grimaced when she realized just how stupid that sounded, as if it wasn’t painfully obvious that she was doing yet another tik tok dance. “okay so it’s definitely what it looks like, but i have to get savage down, i can’t live knowing that my brother can throw it back better than i can.”

     𝐈𝐓  𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃  𝐁𝐄  𝐀  𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖𝐍  fact  that  acing  tests  comes  naturally  to  max  ,  but  it  seems  like  his  upcoming  one  is  proving  to  be  a  challenge  given  the  amount  of  time  he’s  read  the  same  page  of  his  textbook  over  and  over  again  .  feeling  someone  approach  him  ,  he  can’t  help  but  let  out  a  quiet  sigh  of  exasperation  .     ❛  if  you  have  anything  to  say  ,  i  hope  you  asked  yourself  if  it  was  worth  my  time  .  ❜

     𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐆𝐆𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆  𝐓𝐎  𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐘  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐋𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐄  tupperware  in  her  hands  ,  nina’s  eyes  light  up  when  she  spots  a  familiar  face  and  wastes  no  time  catching  up  to  them  .     ❛  hey  !  so  i  helped  my  grandma  make  some  chocolate  chip  cookies  yesterday  ,  and  we  kind  of  made  more  than  we  expected  ,  so  now  i’m  just  running  around  giving  everyone  some  .  do  you  want  one  .  .  .  or  three  ?  ❜

roxanne had just stumbled back into the school when she heard her name being called upon on the p.a system, directing her to go to the guidance counsellors. “ fuck ” the word slipped out with a long exhale of her breath. she had just finished having her own unique lunch - a ‘little’ afternoon joint under the bleachers. she was definitely in no mood to hear the guidance counsellor tell her (for what felt like the millionth time) that she was flunking out. swinging her black jansport bag from over her shoulders onto her chest, roxanne walked towards the guidance office as she ruffled through the bag searching for anything to eliminate the odor that was lingering on her. the last thing she wanted was to get another suspension for being stoned at school. with her head deep into her bag, roxanne’s shoulder aggressively banged against the door frame of the counsellor office. she was walking so distractedly that she hadn’t even noticed she had arrived. a loud grunt escaped her lips as her hand reached to rub her shoulder – that was definitely going to bruise.  roxanne swung her bag off completely and sat down in the empty seat in the waiting area. trying to be discreet, she leaned her nose towards her shirt attempting to evaluate the damage. but it was no use, her senses were too accustomed to the smell. letting out another loud sigh, roxanne felt defeated as she leaned her body back against the chair. that’s when she noticed the other person sitting across from her in the waiting area. “ uh hey – ” roxanne’s voice cracked as she spoke, “ do i – ” she was going to say dank, but the use of stoner slang was never her preferred vocabulary. “ smell ? ” she asked, finishing her sentence. “ i mean, not like b.o but like … you know what i mean right ? ” 

TO BE HONEST her day was anything but exciting and she was merely minding her own business while out for a walk . brinley definitely had lots of homework to tend to , but ignoring it felt like a better option for now , even if it maybe wasn’t the smartest option . but as she walked , heels clicking along the pavement , she came across a familiar face , she picked up her pace to join them . ❝ HEY ! funny bumping into you here , what’s up ? ❞ brinley called out once she was within arms length of the other , flashing them a wide grin .

“ hey-hey you wait up. ” gabby had no story for the school newspaper and she was in serious need of one. she could just make up something, the usual spiel about how school meals suck, or how the sports teams were the best blah, blah, blah. but she was determined to turn the school newspaper around this year, turn it into something that everyone actually wanted to read. “ okay, picture this. you, on the front page of the school newspaper- and not just a boring old newspaper, oh no. this is a…special edition…about the true stars of the school and i want you front and centre. our real star. ” she was full of bull. she’d said the same garbage to a good few other students. she just wanted to interview them and try and squeeze all the little secrets out of them so she could put it in the paper. now that’s what the kids wanted to read.
