That’s Cal’s princess forreal. Carries him around with one arm and kisses his knuckles. Cal lost a bet and got one of those arm tattoos in the shape of a heart with a crown on top that has Marc’s name in cursive. Marc thinks it’s absolutely ridiculous but secretly likes it. Alex thinks that they’re corny as hell but yk, Cal is better than the other one.

Whole grid weirded af since Cal came back and Marc started to act like he constantly needs a big strong man to do anything. Like, this terrifying and all-consuming predator is suddenly batting his eyelashes at this funny old man. They’ve heard about how Marc acted back in the day but seeing it is absolutely different. It’s even worse because Cal is absolutely into it and indulges him.

and OHHH I love that!! Imagine Cal returned to the grid to a Marc who's not used to having him around anymore, and he immediately falls back into their old habits without hesitation. The first time Cal picks up Marc after he replaced Johann, Marc's first instinct is to thrash around until he can free himself. After all, air jail can be scary when you're as injured as he is, and he's also not close to a lot of people here. But then his body relaxes against all odds, like it recognizes Cal's arm holding him up. He almost forgot what it felt like to be so thoughtlessly pampered without a single word said, but the Briton does it as effortlessly as breathing. It's like they never spent years apart barely talking. The casual intimacy is back, and so is Marc's fondness of it. He doesn't know how he managed without it for so long.

Cal kisses his sore knuckles after practice and stabilizes him when he almost falls due to his injured foot like it's nothing. It shouldn't affect Marc so much, and yet he has a feeling even Cal himself wouldn't understand what goes on inside his mind as they keep this game going. Cal's just...an idiot. He gets fake tattoos with Marc's name on them and suddenly the Spaniard has to pretend like he doesn't wish they were permanently engraved into the older man's skin. It makes him go wild in a way very few things do. Álex thinks they're ridiculous, but Álex thinks most things are ridiculous, so Marc refrains from taking his opinion into count.
