Where the magic happens

It has certainly been a hot minute. My deepest apologies, things have been rather crazy. I got married! So that's a thing. Books are all with editors, and I'm hoping desperately that one of them will be done soon, so I can get things moving again, and hopefully start generating more content.

My deepest, deepest apologies, first off. Things have.... not really been moving with my current editor, clearly. I’m going to keep working with her and trying to nudge her along on Path of the Broken, but in the mean time I have other projects I would really like to get moving on and hopefully published soon.

To that end - does anyone know a good editor who’d be willing to work with a tough financial situation? I’m not going to pretend like editors don’t do a hard job and don’t deserve every penny they charge, I am just not in a good place financially (which is part of why I want to get another book out), and the outlook is grim.

I can pay -- I would sure as hell never ask anyone to do work like this for free -- I just can’t afford to pay per word, which I know is what most editors prefer. If you’re willing to take payment plans (like 50 dollars a paycheck, or something similar) I can work with that. I just can’t do the entire payment upfront -- unfortunately my fiancee just lost her job, and we’re just finishing paying for a wedding, so we’re struggling (again, why I’m trying to get another book out).

If you would be interested in working with me, or perhaps know someone who would, please feel free to reach out. I’m not trying to skimp out -- I want to pay someone for their work. I just... can’t afford to give what they deserve all at once.

I had a meeting with my editor today, and we’re going forward with a new editing process. That means, unfortunately, it’s going to be a longer delay. I hate that it’s been delayed so much, so for the first month it’s out (and I’ll keep everyone updated on how that’s going), it’s going to be reduced to 99 cents, instead of the usual $2.99. More updates when I have them but with what we’re planning, I’m hoping to have it out very soon.

Summary:
