Yes, even hateful, racist, horrible jokes.

No matter what you say, or what you do, any joke you tell is going to be offensive to somebody, just sometimes it’s offensive to more people than others.

On top of that, all comedy makes commentary on our current life and society, yes, even edgy racist or downright hateful comedy.

I’m not saying it’s right, or helpful, or should be encouraged, I’m saying it exists and wether because of trauma, upbringing, or plain stupidity- somebody finds it funny and their voices matter just as much as everyone else’s.

My highschool government teacher once said: “I may hate every word you say, but I will fight for your right to say it” and I live by those words.
