Mind you my point was: that having a male abusive character face no consequences by the narrative is already apart of our sanitize society. Since we live in a society that protects abusers. Especially if the abuser is male.

Like why does adult indie animation fans do this.

Where if you either call out the shitty and or problematic writing in shows like TADC, Gameoverse, Hellva Boss/Hazbin Hotel.

They think you’re so type of puritan who can’t handle complex themes and stories.

Baby, I read books in middle school that was more challenging and thought provoking than any of these shows combined.

Better yet, despite still being a pilot and having surface level and understandable themes.

As it’s been a while since I seen duck tales 2017 😅

I’m deciding I’ll be taking some KND art request. Though note that it’ll most likely be traditional art work.

So for what I will and I not accept.

I’ll accept requests that involves shipping (canon, non canon, oc x canon, and even oc x oc). I can do multiple characters at a time, though no more than like 6. I can draw your ocs and headcanon designs of canon characters. And I’ll accept references photos. You can be descriptive as possibly for the requests, as I want to get it right. And I’ll do stuff with blood/gore and mild suggestive though only for adult characters.

I won’t do: proshipping artwork, hateful/hate speech, nsfw, and that’s really it tbh.

Some info

The boy on the left is name Hakeem. The girl on the right is name Sophia. They’re around 5-6 years old and are currently attending a summer camp/program throughout the weekdays. Both because they’re parents have to attend work and because they don’t want their children’s brains be rotten by nonstop tv and video games.

The two are a duo that is known for either causing or being involved with a lot of shenanigans. With Hakeem being a playful and adventurous kid who likes to challenge himself. While Sophia is more on the calmer side of things, making sure they don’t get into too much trouble. Though she doesn’t mind being involved with the shenanigans. Since the two are them are a very chaotic and mischievous duo.

I don’t know if I’ll actually implement this or not, but I had an idea of the trio basically becoming bounty hunters/handy man during their adults years after serving a few years at the Antarctic Prison.

Now some of you may ask, how did we get here and I’ll explain the cliff notes version.

The Teen Ninjas tried to betray the evil adults, via giving them and the KND the chicken pox. But things didn’t go as plan with the evil adults finding out and getting very pissed about it. Especially father, who decides to do a reckless but possibly effective plan if things go right by delightfulizing both teens and children. The KND and the Teen Ninjas decided to create a temporary truce in order to defeat father once and for all. They do, with them even saving the delighful children and was half way successful of de delighfulizing them.

Though things wasn’t perfect at the end, as during the temporary truce, the KND notice that the Teen Ninjas are becoming more competent and therefore more as a threat. With higher members of the KND and the TND debating to do one or two options.

Create a permeant alliance with the Teen Ninjas. Or. Try to get rid of them as an organization and just allow future teens to have an higher chance of joining the TND.

They choose the second option.

So on New Year’s Eve of 2006/New Years Day of 2007. (The teens are around the ages 15-17). The TND (led by Chad and Maurice) decides to do a surprise sneak attack on the Teen Ninjas. Capturing all of their leaders while the remaining members escape.

During the trial, Cree and other newly teens who escape decommissioning, was properly decommissioned. As those who was leader being served a certain amount of years at Antarctic Prison depending on their rank and the crimes they did.

After spending a few years, the trio was release. Though, now adults (ages 19-21) with no proper education or money saved. They decide to become bounty hunters/handy man to make quick easy cash.

Doing any type of mission as long as the money worth it.

Need them to get a map to a secret island filled with candy? They’ll do it.

Need them to steal a couple of gallons of root beer from Mr. Fizz for your younger brother 11th birthday party? They’ll do it.

Need them to steal data from the KND research lab? They’ll happily do it.

If you have the money. They’ll do the job. Simple as that. Well at least for now.

And I think it’s because of two reasons that basically relates to each other.

1) is that a lot of indie shows caters to fandom cultures/spaces that is very white and male center. Aka newgrounds, ao3, tumblr etc. Where white folks aren’t challenge on their racism against black and brown folks despite how “progressive” those spaces seems. With black characters being reduce to one note villains that get bashed on both by the other characters and story. Sidekicks to the white characters with no depth. And/or fetishized love interests to the white characters base on racist stereotypes of black folks. And whenever black fans call them out, we’re painted as the issues. That we’re disturbing the peace. Nor are they being challenge on their misogyny and being so male centered. Until recently (though I dare say even now) Jax is a great example of this. As he gets to be an abusive asshole who faces no consequences with the female character + Zooble not allow to get angry or have any negative emotions without being shut down by the narrative. All because he’s dealing with his own mental health issues.

2) a lot of indie shows is written like fanfics. And what I mean is that the stories in question either don’t have anything challenging to say. As while some fanfics are amazing. Most of them are created for and by fans for easy entertainment for others to enjoy. It’s mostly why people either do it as a hobby or to just practice on their writing skill. Or when creators do have something to say, it’s executed very poorly and almost like it’s dumbs down its themes and messages. It reminds me how alot of fanfic will have dark themes to seem mature, but is handle so poorly that you can tell that while the creator know it’s bad. They don’t understand the effects it has on people and why it is bad. (Or they’ll just be a pro shipper who just uses the sensitive material to jerk off to cuz you know “fiction isn’t real and don’t effect reality” and other bs excuses) Like we should allow characters to get angry, to have lasting thoughts and opinions even if it “doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things”. We should allow stories to call out abusers even if the abusers themselves are hurting inside. We should allow criticism and critical thought to happen, not to destroy somebody passion project but to analyze how something as big as TADC and Hazbin Hotel/Hellva Boss has and will continue to effect pop culture.

Indie animation shouldn’t just be “the smaller versions of mainstream media” that still caters to those who are very white and male centered.
