Doop Doop 2 by 4 - Sammich on the kitchen floor!

I'm still feeling that bubbly ahhhh kind of feel. It was so many parts emotionally wrecking and healing.

What I really enjoy about these books is that emotionally healing after trauma is never a linear process, and the fact that thats touched on so many times is comforting. To write how setbacks dont necessary negate any progress made is important to realize, and I appreciate the way it shows that healing isn't always a straight line.

Also the points about letting yourself need others. The point that we equate strength and growth to what we can do without, instead of understanding that growth can also mean letting yourself need others, or allowing yourself to rely on someone else to carry your stress when you cant do it on your own. Likewise what it takes to let someone in on your hardships without worrying about being too much for them.

Random notes:

The line "Because I fucking am the god of strength" went so damned hard. Like the amount of hype I felt behind that sentence was crazy. Like I cant even begin to express how I felt reading that line.

I want to see Seb & Thio get married. Like so badly. And the whole talk about having kids thing made my heart so happy. Like my boys! They're growing and working to surpass the emotional trauma they had growing up. I'm so proud of them.

(Also loved seeing how domestic they were in this, like look at them, being all happy and shit.)
