i just had an absolute dream of mine fulfilled last night. to finally see steam powered giraffe after soooo many years of listening to them meant the world to me. it was insane to just see them perform in person and oh my god they delivered. like truly, expectations matched and exceeded, especially with such a major change happening in the band two weeks ago.
i was super lucky to have amazing supportive friends come with me that took a bunch lovely and hilarious pictures and videos so i could just enjoy the moment. as if the night couldn’t get any better, we also got one of the setlists at the end and chelsea and camille signed it!! meeting them and gabi was so incredible and they were all so sweet and happy to talk it made my night
to see hatchworth live was also the biggest delight. i love sam’s own music and generally have been drawn to his singing style the most so it was just awesome to see him live.
sidenote, of course i wish bunny ever bit of healing and calm she deserves after giving the band 20 years of tireless work. i really did miss seeing her live so very dearly but hope she’s doing well ❤️
thank you for this tour as well as everything steam powered giraffe. i never imagined i’d get to see them live and this filled me up so much.
