"But I'm not lying!!" protested the child. "The monsters will come tonight!"
"Children, children, monsters do not exist." Soothed the android. "They are fiction-"
"That's what my Daddy said about aliens!"
Complete silence in the youngling center. Every child looked at one another and then back at the android. Their human friend was right...
"...yes well, monsters do not-" chaos is unleashed.
"What do we do Harrison?!" cried the younglings.
"How big are they?!" "Will they eat us??" "How do we kill them!" "Can we kill them???"
Poor little human stood there overwhelmed by the onslaught of questions. For so long he was the one asking the questions and now others are looking to him for them? His voice stuttered, his shoulders slouched, his hands wrung his shirt, so many voices, so many faces too close to his, so many questions!
ITS TOO MUCH FOR THE POOR CHILD!
"It's not a full moon tonight Harrison! We're fine!" Called out teacher Kim. "Werewolves only come out during full moons and that's tomorrow."
The younglings rush the human adult.
"How big are they?!" "Will they eat us??" "What's a werewolf!" "Will we have to kill them???" "What do we do tomorrow?!!"
"Werewolves can be as small as a human or as big as an orc or sometimes even a tighalax. They're a human that can turn into a giant beastly monster covered in fur, they look like one of our earth pets. They won't eat you so long as they aren't starving so as long as we feed them properly it'll be fine. No we won't have to kill it, we just need to keep it calm and happy." the human replied without batting an eye.
"..." "..." "..." "..." "..."
"Now if, and this is a big if, the werewolf is acting too crazy or dangerous then we just need to get their family to turn them back." the human sat down and the younglings did likewise. "If you know and love the werewolf then you can turn them back to a normal human."
"How!" cried the younglings leaning forward.
"Well let's see if Harrison remembers this one, you remember the story I told you buddy?"
"...you...you...you call their name! The grandma in the story called her grandkid's name and...and...threw their clothes at them!" giggled the boy.
"Exactly! You call their name and throw clothes at them! Because calling their name with love turns them back aaannnd the clothes are so they aren't showing their bare bums to the world." the younglings cried out in laughter and baffled whats. Already the panic and mania that had swept them away had left.
"...no LUC-3 humans don't turn into monsters on full moons."
"Then you lied?" asked the android.
"Mmm, not really. Everything I told them was the truth, there are many myths, legends, and stories about werewolves on earth. What I told them was what I heard about those stories. Also, human children tend to always ask questions even after you answered them. So to save myself from being stuck in a loop with Harrison I try to tell him long enough answers to bore him."
