Sekka Hearthstone is my absolute newest character, a charr who was adopted by a refugee Kodan (Hopeful Gale) and a Norn (Einarr Hearthseeker) looking for purpose when they found her on the brink of starvation in the Icespear’s Shelf of Fireheart Rise. The eclectic family eventually made a perilous trek through Frostgorge southward to Cragstead, later leaving for Snowden Drifts where they finally settled into a new home built near the shore of Valslake. Sekka grew up learning the traditions of both the Norn and the Kodan, and embraced Mink’s teachings from Einarr. Her later pursuits within the Priory stemmed from a desire to find balance between the strong callings of both fire and ice within herself, and this pursuit of balance remains a theme throughout her life. She is now an evoker and Shaman of Mink.

For her armorsets, I am enjoying finding elements that I can link to Norn/Kodan aesthetics; some knot-work motifs, a carved decoration dyed to look like ivory or bone, a bear head motif, etc. I had a lot of fun thinking up background story for her, so she may have ended up as one of my most established/devloped characters in spite of being brand new, fashion-inspired (I loved the idea of white fur with orangey magical markings), and I’ve not even RP’d with her at all yet XD

Anis are bizarre, coal-black cuckoos with long floppy tails and unique, curiously tall, flattened bills. Groove-billed occurs in a variety of open and semi-open habitats in tropical lowlands and foothills, typically staying low in shrubs and grasses. Gregarious and not particularly graceful; usually seen crashing around awkwardly in small groups.
