My ver soft body inferno I made as a result of an artstudy based on layered fur (I didn’t feel like rendering most of the body tbh)

What I learnt was that uhhhmmm. Do NOT treat fur like it’s a bunch of hairs. But more like individual blocks of thin 3d objects that all have their own shadows! It takes awhile to render which was why I didn’t bother for most of the body but I mean it looks good

The electric eel at my aquarium has a voltmeter attached to his tank, and whenever he pumps out a burst of electricity–either when he’s navigating his tank or getting fed–the meter lights up and makes noise. Sometimes, I’ll walk past him when he’s snuggled up and totally motionless on his log, and see the voltmeter going crazy.

I am left to assume that he is dreaming, and is sleep-zapping at the things in his dreams.

So I follow N. D. Stevenson (comics writer and animator, most famous for Nimona and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power) and his husband Lee Ostertag (also a comics writer and animator) on Instagram. When I started following them, they were both publicly presenting as women, and then a few years ago N. D. came out as transmasc nonbinary, and then earlier this year Lee also came out as transmasc. Anyway this is all setup to say that Lee had the chance to make the funniest post of all time and he took it:

the funniest thing about AA4 taking place during 2026 is that they had tried to design Phoenix looking like a sleazy bum with a drinking problem, and by absolute sheer coincidence, the beanie + hoodie + baggy sweats look is INCREDIBLY TRENDY this year. Every other man at my uni has been dressed like this lately.
