Me parece igual una locura decir "robaron" el tango y creo que es una muestra de cómo éstas conversaciones no pueden tenerse con estadounidenses. Porque no entienden el contexto sociohistorico de América Latina. Cuando se usa el término apropiación cultural es porque hay una cultura dominante que adopta elementos, tradiciones o símbolos de una cultura dominada, el tango es el fruto de un profundo crisol cultural, combinando el candombe africano, la habanera cubana, la milonga campera y ritmos traídos por inmigrantes italianos y españoles.

Es básicamente lo mismo que pasó allá con el Blues.

Mestizaje =/= apropiación. Pero no lo entienden porque adaptan su contexto al nuestro sin considerar las diferencias enormes que hay entre países.
