Chap collected bike sketches from random people and made photo-realistic mocks. Hilarious stuff.
You might have noticed thereâs something wrong with this bike. Or you might have not.
This bicycle is missing a very important part of its frame and it would immediately break if it actually existed and someone tried to ride it. Let me explain everything from the beginning:Back in 2009 I began pestering friends and random strangers. I would walk up to them with a pen and a sheet of paper asking that they immediately draw me a menâs bicycle, by heart. Soon I found out that when confronted with this odd request most people have a very hard time remembering exactly how a bike is made. Some did get close, some actually nailed it perfectly, but most ended up drawing something that was pretty far off from a regular menâs bicycle.
More here.

Do you love the object tag, too? How do you feel about responsive image maps? Have you ever tried to work around complex tables, nasty carousels, endless country selectors and complex user interfaces? Well, letâs bring it on! In this talk, Vitaly Friedman, editor-in-chief of Smashing Magazine, will present dirty practical techniques and clever ideas developed in actual real-life projects, and use many examples to illustrate how we can solve problems smarter and faster. Please take the techniques with a grain of salt. Beware: you will not be able to unlearn what youâll learn in the session!

The creative process is mythicized in our culture. There is a sense that ideas are flashes of genius that people have, aâŚ
Picasso did not paint the masterpiece in one go. He experimented; he made mistakes; he iterated. When you approach product design, treat it like a great artist treats building a masterpiece. Try and discover: You will uncover new ideas.
âAnd the govt must end the hunt for anti nationals and the shameful scapegoating of university students. Why? Because we believe that this witch hunt is meant to distract the nation from issues necessary to the nation's development. History shows us that state sponsored or state condoned campaigns against so-called anti-nationals leads to authoritarian rule and the destruction of democratic principles.â
For those who are not frightened by the solitude, everything will have a different taste⌠In solitude, they will learn that saying âNoâ does not always show a lack of generosity and that saying âYesâ is not always a virtue.
Paulo Coelho (via metaconscious)
I'm not a fan in particular of Coelho, but I agree with the second part of the quote. I try and help as much as possible, but also know when to say no. It's important to be able to say no.

Best Use of Drone: Photographer Aydin BĂźyĂźktas Creates a Beautifully Warped City
Photographer Aydin BĂźyĂźktasâ background in film and visual effects really shows in âFlatlandâ, a cinematic series of drone footage digitally manipulated to create shots of Istanbul which seem to fold over on themselves.

Top:Â Fitbit captures the exact moment of devastating heartbreak
His boyfriend of around one month broke up with him, which was traumatic enough, but when Soto, cofounder of Tel Aviv property management startup Guesty, checked his Fitbit later, he was surprised to see his heightened emotions reflected in his health data. His skyrocketing, erratic heart rate had all been captured faithfully by his fitness tracker
Bottom:Â Husband learns wife is pregnant from her Fitbit data
When Reddit user David Trinidad looked at his wifeâs Fitbit data and noticed her heart rate was well above normal, he posted his concerns on the popular message-board site. âIâm not sure if something is wrong with the sensor,â he wrote, adding that she logged 10 hours of activity in Fitbitâs âfat burning zoneâ without increasing her activity level. âIs there a way to reset or recalibrate the device? Iâd like to try that before I contact customer service about a possible replacement.â
Some people crib about most consumer grade wearables aren't accurate, but does that accuracy really matter when it can do stuff like above and even be just enough for a user to take precaution & head to the hospital?
In the future, people wonât likely need to hire lawyers for simple legal appeals. Theyâll just use a bot. - Business Insider
Once you sign in, a chat screen pops up. To learn about your case, the bot asks questions like, âWere you the one driving?â and âWas it hard to understand the parking signs?â It then spits out an appeal letter, which you mail to the court. If the robot is completely confused, it tells you how to contact Browder directly. The site is still in beta, and the full version will launch this spring, Browder, a Stanford University freshman, tells Tech Insider. Since laws are publicly available, bots can automate some of the simple tasks that human lawyers have had to do for centuries. Browderâs isnât even the first lawyer bot. The startup Acadmxâs bot creates perfectly formatted legal briefs. The company Lex Machina does data mining on judgesâ records and makes predictions on what they will do in the future. Beyond parking tickets, Browderâs bot can also help with delayed or cancel led flights and payment-protection insurance (PPI) claims. Although the bot can only help file claims on simple legal issues â it canât physically argue a case in front of a judge â it can save users a lot of money.
Chatbots are clearly the future of that automated mundane interactions with humans.

Finally managed to get my hands on an HMT Pilot. Hand wound. My second mechanical. The collection starts now. #mechanicalwatch #watch
Half of bacon+mashed potatoes. Half of pepperoni margherita. At @thegreedyman. Naples styles. Good stuff! They were out of shakes though. And they're hoping to get a beer license. Fingers crossed. #pizza #instafood #onthetable #pune #bacon #dinner (at The Greedy Man - Pizzeria)
