If I want dragons to be part of the Gods side of things, more unknowable beast of power than cool animal, then Hephestia is just ASKING for a dragon. Her associations are volcanoes and lightning and earthquakes, those are The dragon elements. They could also fit nicely with the many river gods in the old religion. Rivers are already dragons (doesnt elaborate).

If dragons are more a animal in the setting (my preference), maybe they are associated with Hephestia, like how Greek gods had animals (Athena with owls, Poseidon with horses, etc). Perhaps dragons show up in myths and imagery with the gods, and scholars like the magus go ah yes symbolism. But it turns out dragons are very real, they're just sooo uncommon now. Maybe thats whats really living under the sacred mountain :3c (myth about Hespira in QoA) Dragons that aing beautifully and scare miners.

Other places dragons could hide: all over the mountain range. Of course theyre more numerous in Eddis, where they are more respectful of myth and their land isnt so cultivated into farmland. The dystopia, grazing on lava rock. In the ocean, hiding deep down between the islands.

So some fanartist drew a “sexy” (read: booby) version of a (cartoon) character who is traditionally very non-sexualised. Fans of the character got mad about it because it’s kind of groundbreaking how that character is written and portrayed and this art totally ignores the entire point of the character. They demanded the art be deleted. In response to that other people said, well what the fanartist did may be distateful but they have every right to draw what they’re into. The two sides fight for days and each starts a harassment campaign and even report their “opponents’” accounts.

So far so typical. But things eventually come to a head and they decide that this will be settled by votes - not through a poll. Through donations to a children’s education charity via each side’s portal. Whoever can get the highest amount of donation wins.
