The other night he said "Jesus wept" and I was like lmfao that's something my grandma used to say. Why are you saying that.

"Ugh, because he did."

Lucifer: I don't have a governing angel. I do not have a formally assigned angelic frustrator in the grimoires the way lower spirits do.

Me: why not?

Lucifer: I exceed the rank where such a thing applies.

Me: but King Paimon and Lord Azazel don't?

Lucifer: Paimon is an emanation. I am an archetypal source.

Me: I thought you were an air elemental though. Doesn't that guarantee you a foil?

Lucifer: I'm not a slyph or elemental creature myself, I am not a lower spirit. I am the ruler of the Air, not the air itself. I travel through the air but I am not bound to it. Asking if I have a foil is a category error, I am the foil to my own ascent when I descend. I am the Phosphor and the Hesper. I govern the East, so you could perhaps call Raphael a foil of mine, but I far exceed his rank and he has no power over me. He more so, corresponds with me, as Haniel corresponds with me, rather than against me. One could call Michael my foil, but he is better attributed to Sammael, Asmoday or Satan. Michael frustrates Satan greatly at times, and I find myself far more agreeable with him when opportunity provides.

Me: what about Lucifuge Rofocale?

Lucifer: what about him? He acts more like a secretary of mine. He acts in the darkness, often as an intermediary between myself and other spirits or mortals. He is not my foil, more like my subordinate. We are different aspects of the same infernal government, not opposing forces.

Me: It just confuses me I guess, that every demon is said to have a foil except for you.

Lucifer: well, I'm not really a demon am I? I am a cosmic principle above duality, I am not an emanatory demon. I am both light and shadow, so I am my own opposite. No one has power over me.

Me: not even Satan?

Lucifer: no. That question doesn't make sense.

Why is it always so depressing 🥀

Lord Ixtlilton, allow me to have dark, restful, healing sleep. Lord Hypnos, bring me meaningful dreams. Lord Lucifer, give me the knowledge and insight to put my phone down for long enough to fall asleep.

"Tricksters are inherently transgressive figures who literally embody what it's like to live in a socially unacceptable or taboo way, which is why members of marginalized communities flock to them while more privileged people find them distasteful. They are the personifications of chaos and social unrest, which includes how much strife surrounds people who are deemed socially unacceptable; they are literally the gods of minorities and people who suffer under bigoted unjust systems.

When tricksters do something bad in a myth, marginalized groups see a complex rebellious figure with their own motives while privileged people see a bad person doing bad things. And when tricksters are punished, privileged people just see a bad guy getting their comeuppence while marginalized groups see the harsh realities of living as a socially unacceptable person.

Level-Up Your Witchcraft

Find ways to practice daily. Start small with more energy manageable spellwork, like daily tea/kitchen magic. Try out planetary magic to help plan spells and rituals ahead of time. Daily practice helps novice witches to grow their abilities to hand and manipulate energy in greater capacities.

Daily prayer. Remember, praying doesn’t always have to be directed towards spirits or deities. Praying for your own personal power is extremely empowering. Here’s a great video from one of my favorite magical mentors on the topic.

Wear a crystal or oil programed as a magical enhancer to help amplify your will while casting. This was a game changer for me.

Discover & follow your path. Many witches are encouraged to learn many casting methods and types of magic when they are beginning their journey. I considered myself an eclectic witch for eight years before realizing what speciality of witchcraft fit best with me. Once a practitioner focuses on their most suitable path, things feel like they unlock naturally and magic feels more intense.

Read witchcraft adjacent nonfiction. As you dive deeper into most practices, what’s useful won’t be a correspondence cheat sheet or a spell book, but actual history and science. Reading books on quantum physics has helped me develop my own magical theory. Historical & geological references can help witches connect with their ancestral magic. When witches open their view of magic to include everything around them, any topic can become magical exploration and information for the grimoire. Correspondences can be discovered the old fashioned way, through discernment and for yourself.

Routine spell management. Reinforce wards or cast spells routinely in whatever manner works best for you. That could be weekly, monthly, or seasonally. Are you routinely cleansing under the New Moon? Maybe your wards are cast seasonally.

Write your own spells. Everyone loves a good spell book, but if all your casting are other people’s spells, you may not be reaching your full potential.

Meditate. Fifteen minutes a day will unlock more than you ever dreamed possible. I read in a mindfulness book once that meditating eliminates resistance, allowing what you’ve been asking for to flow into your life uninhibited. It also enhances your intuition and recalibrates your mind and body.

Master a method of divination. Tarot, runes, anything! Divination allows the witch to answer their own questions regarding spellwork, better plan, and communicate with allied spirits. It’s the first thing I would tell a young witch to learn.

He also very obviously wants to sleep sometimes and is weirdly secretive about it? Today I was hanging out in my room and he kept being like "ritual ritual time I want ritual" and I was like ??? Why? I'll offer u some incense" and he was like "noo no incense ritual"

And i was like ???? Why??? I light you a candle??

And he was like "no I want your full attention "

So i was like ??? Okay?? But when I went to meditate he only possessed me very lightly, and I was like why make a big fuss over this?

He sort of just waited until I got bored enough to doze off, and then he very obviously possessed me much deeper. I later came to find this was all because he wanted to rest in me (that weird possession thing where he sleeps in my stomach)

I wake up and am like oh sorry Lucifer I fell asleep I didn't mean to

When I awoke I felt the pressure of him in my gut. And i was like oh. That makes sense. He's been kinda dull lately I guess. Weird that he wouldn't just ask but ok.

Later when I felt him stirring he was like "oh hey, thanks. I've got some things to do now." And just goes about his business.

I posted this on discord, but thought I'd share it here, too. This is an excercise I used to use when I was working on differentiating my inner monologue from spiritual messages.

Find a song, or tone, that you are comfortable humming to. Sit comfortably and listen to it, eyes closed. Start humming and feel the vibrations in your chest/throat. If you work with infernal beings using their Enn is a great option, there are loops of people singing them on youtube. Now, focus on your own voice humming at first, notice what you sound like, notice any thoughts coming up and what they sound like, what does your inner voice sound like to you? How is it different from your outer voice? Start by focusing only on what you sound like.

When you feel comfortable in your ability to identify you, you can let your attention move to things around you. Are there sounds in the room you are in, are there messages coming through internally that dont sound like you? Don't rush to answer any of them, listen to them and see if any sound like similar voices. Eventually the messages you have access too will become clearer, and you wont be in a constant struggle of "Was that my thought or a message?"

They come in pairs, never one person though one may hag back a bit. They have been seen using cars with significantly tinted windows, no business logos anywhere on the vehicle, or parking close to the home they walked up to only to drive away right after without visiting other homes, almost as if they’re not real sales people.

True door to door salespeople need a sort of peddler’s license, subject to city and county law, to solicit at your door. You can ask to see this permit. If they don’t provide one or make an excuse, they are likely bogus.

They wear a jacket with a company logo but likely don’t wear name tags and the Don’t provide id.

Tell them you’ll call the company about a noncompliant representative. Make them leave. Better yet not to open the door to them, and tell them nothing.
