Sacaku Ink

So I noticed that any post I did with multiple images, when you go to the archive it only shows the main image of that post... that doesn’t work well for me as I like having the Archive as a way to see a good chunk of my work at a glance. Soooo fair warning I’ll probably do a lot more individual posts of artwork in the future for this reason.

Haven’t been super inspired lately, I always have wanted to do more fanart but just never quite knew what to do? Been seeing a lot more stuff for Fanzines and stuff though and they usually have a theme to them that’s fun. So wish me luck I think I might try to apply for a couple of them and see what I can come up with!

9S Wonders Pen & Marker 2/13/2019

 Ok honestly I have no many issues with this one but dammit I’m gonna post it anyways ‘cause HOLY CRAP I actually did/finished something. The shadings not too bad and I actually sorta did a background. (His proportions are screwed up but I’m just gonna ignore that at this point.)

Had to clean this one up a bit in photoshop too. I used some washi tape to help keep the edges clean, but the markers I used sorta ate the color off it and bled onto the art a tiny bit. I could just use masking tape but the washi is way easier to travel with... but I think I have a white marble one I never use that won’t bleed much for next time.

Just a doodle I did during some free time. (Again during which I should have been doing homework double oops.)

Lily Pad Maiden Pen & Marker 2/11/2019

 Ok not sure how long this will survive on Tumblr since “Female Presenting Nipple” and all that. But it’d be nice to at least have it in my archive when I view it hopefully. And maybe others can enjoy it before it get’s flagged idk.

Inktober 2018 Ink 2 - Tranquil

(Mara Sov Queen of the Awoken -- Destiny game series)

 Here’s another one! Finally made it back to prompt 2 lol. The idea for this one also started on my ipad but I tweaked it a lot. I wanted to do something in a circle since most of my others have been square framed in some way. 

Ran into a few difficulties with this one, largely just because I was being impatient waiting for things to dry. It turned out all right though I think! Was my first time using masking fluid too which honestly worked better than I expected. I think I used it a little thin in some spots but overall was pretty easy to use!

I actually originally thought to use Mara’s character for the “guarded” prompt but thought Tranquil fit just as well and I had some other ideas for guarded I can use. She always seems so cool and control (or at least incredibly aware) of all the happenings of the Destiny Universe. Also love her voice, very tranquil and just fascinating *shoutout to Kirsten Potter.

Inktober 2018 Ink 9 - Precious (Madoka and Homura -- Puella Magi Madoka Magica)

I fell so far behind!!! Life got a little wacky and then I had to study for my mid-term and I was just too brain fried to do art stuff. I did some idea sketches but nothing very clean. Still, I don’t care how long it takes me I want to finish this years prompt list regardless! This one is actually an old digital sketch I was working on in procreate and never finished. Kept struggling with it and would get frustrated and move on. Glad I finally got to use the base idea! ________________________________________________________

Inktober 2018 Prompt 10 - Flowing

This is probably the most depressing piece of art I’ve maybe ever made?  A lot of artists sometimes use their art as an outlet for their emotions... and I’ve never been one of them, for better or worse reasons. I’ve attempted to a couple times before and whenever I’ve tried to express my feelings in my art I just end up getting really frustrated and hate any piece I’ve tried making with that goal in mind.

This is probably the closest I’ve ever come to that and I’m a bit torn on posting it to be honest. This one is pretty personal to me and on one hand I’m so glad I was finally able to depict something to reflect my dark thoughts which I’ve never been able to do before. On the other hand because it’s so personal I feel nervous sharing it. 

As a precaution I have tagged this post with #depression and #anxiety for those who may find this image concerning. (I won’t be tagging it with suicide as I don’t feel the image depicts any sort of self harm.) Also due to the subject matter I will not be posting this image on certain sites. (Ko-fi being one of them due to their no NSFW image policy. Since this image has implied nudity I worry they would take it down anyways.)

Inktober 2018  Ink 7 - Exhausted (Trevor Belmont - Netflix Castlevania)

     I kinda struggled with this prompt. I saw a few other artists do various self portraits and was very tempted to do the same... my mental health hasn’t been the best lately though so I opted out since the idea of the self portrait was making me focus on bad thoughts too much.      So instead I opted to draw this tired boy because he deals with so much shit when all he wants is to have a god damn beer and sleep and DAMNIT if I don’t feel the same.

Jumped around again and skipped to Prompt 8 “Star”

As much as I would love to stick to the prompts ‘schedule’ it’s just now how my brain works lol. I would rather do a piece when the idea strikes me than beat my head against a wall trying to come up with something for “drooling” or “exhausted.” Their time will come, just not yet lol. (I still haven’t even done prompt 2 “tranquil” hows that!)

 I immediately kicked myself after finishing this because this would have fit way better as precious. Would have just switched out the star for a Clow card or even a Tsubasa Sakura feather. TOO LATE NOW! Although I might just draw Tsubasa Sakura in that case lol.   I also wish I had used a slightly darker marker to shade with but oh well. I’m tired of tweaking stuff with it so meh. Could have used some gold ink too... Why does my brain come up with all of these things AFTER I’ve worked on the damn thing for hours and am tired of looking at it!? TT3TT

     First set for this years #Inktober 2018! I skipped around a bit just based on ideas prompts gave me. Also, hello Bowsette fanart, yup I went there and I regret nothing. (Fire is just washi tape!)

     I can’t quite seem to give up the pencil to help give some things definition. Probably should have used a gray marker instead but I didn’t think about it until literally just now as I’m writing this... oops lol. Always next time! 

 Also a quick side note:      I’ve seen A LOT of stuff going around regarding Inktober and it being a huge stress and source of anxiety for people? I understand some are light hearted jokes. But seriously PLEASE remember to take care of yourself first and foremost. Inktober is just suppose to be a fun exercise and it’s ok if you don’t make something everyday, or if you don’t participate at all. You don’t have to participate to be a ‘real’ artist or anything like that. It’s just a fun event you can contribute to!        As you can maybe tell by the dates of all these, I did these all in one night. I didn’t worry about getting them done until I felt I had the motivation and creativity and then I just jammed. I didn’t plan to do this many in 1 night it just happened. They’re not all fantastical either. The Zelda Chicken themed one is super simple and not very detailed. But I still enjoyed it and decided to opt out of spending more time on it. I just didn’t feel it was necessary and that’s ok! Because I had done plenty of others and was ready to move on!      None of these are big either. They’re all about 4x5 inches at most! (That’s like 2 drawings per page on regular printing paper.)

Re-read @shell-senji​ fanfic “Embracing Fear” again because I have no self control today apparently.

I’ve been feeling the need to draw more lately and so I whipped this up for fun. No real planning or thought put into it. And it was late so please excuse poor camera pic lol. (I’ll try and update this one later when I have time to use the scanner.) Anyways, maybe I can get warmed up before Inktober and actually stick with it this year!?
