Thinking about sitting comfy on the couch, face masks percalating, and sylus squeezes your hand and you hear him singing the song at the end of the movie as he watches The Last Unicorn come to an end. You look and your eyes mist watching him struggle to hide the lone tear escape.
“Baby…did you like the movie?”
He sits quietly before turning to you.
“I know what it’s like to be the last of your species…I know what it’s like amor.”
His lip quivers and you reach up and pull his forehead down for a kiss.
“You’re not alone anymore.”
The sleeping hatchlings of him lay upon the destroyed blanket fortress: tiny horns and wings and tails moving as your little dragons hold each others hand.
He sniffles before he pulls you for a loving kiss.
