Here's a funny/sad situation - some guy wanted to commission me after seeing me draw on Roblox. I said okay, I can do that. I sent him some examples of my art and he replied with 'oh it looks cool' and then added 'wait it looks like AI tbh'. So, I asked him if he could provide me with any explanation, or example why he thinks it may be AI. He said that he meant it in a 'good' way. What good way? By comparing art I spent hours on, to AI slop that steals from other artists?? I replied nicely with 'I won't do that commission for you, sorry'. And so it started - him telling me that I am 'ill' and have issues, telling me to stop crying and grow up, because not always would I hear things I'd like to hear. 'Womp womp'. Not a single apology. Not even trying to understand me and my view. Just being rude because I dared to take this as an offense, rather than a compliment. Comparing anyone's genuine art to AI is NOT a praise, or admiration. It's devaluing one's skills and time they put into their work.
