Something is different about Edmund, he thinks to himself. The young knight didnât look out of place. His hair was cropped and neat, and his armour gleaming under the afternoon sunrays that filtered through the columns of the long hallway that led to the private garden, where the young prince, princess, and the king strolled through in their usual routine after a tedious meeting discussing the things royalty discusses with wise men.Â
Ser Gwent took notice of Edmundâs posture. There was still nothing amiss. Perfect and proper, as though his spine was made out of steel instead of bone. Ser Gwent pulls his shoulders back, his face twinging when he hears his back popping from the movement. Edmund turns to face him, eyebrows jumping to his hairline.Â
âYou alright?â Despite the kindness implied in the question, Edmundâs amused grin elicits a grunt from the older knight.Â
âI was gonnaâ ask you the same,â he gruffs out, âsomethinâ on your mind, boy?âÂ
Edmund pinches his brows, then looks ahead. His Adamâs apple bobs as his entire body corrects itself, reposturing as if he were uncomfortable. Ser Gwentâs been noticing that habit lately. Edmund straightening his spine when the royal family is in the room with them âwhich, as a royal guard, is nearly all the damn timeâ as if he was scared they were going to take notice that something was wrong with him when nothing was. Then he needed to correct everything about himself, once keeping his gaze low even when he rides a horse beside the prince on the way to the woods, at the cost of running into a face full of low-hanging branches and leaves. A gentle breeze sweeps fallen flowers and leaves across the patterned tiles.Â
âYeah, just wonderinâ whatâs for dinner later,â Edmund replies in that ever-so-confident Southern drawl. Ser Gwentâs thick moustache bristles as he moves his lips to the side of his face. It was a creature on its own, and it managed to make Edmundâs cheeks twitch enough to crack his lips into a smile.Â
âYou worried about me, Gwent?âÂ
âI am,â he said bluntly.Â
âYouâre acting like the prince is your knight in shining armour and youâre the maiden.â He watches Edmundâs expression from the corner of his eye. The knight doesnât falter, his little grin remaining on his face as if he were frozen in place, some warmth returns to thaw him out of it, and Edmund tilts his head, frowning in confusion as he turns his head to Ser Gwent.
âI donât think Iâm pretty enough to be a maiden, but Iâm flattered you think so, Ser Gwent.â
âBah!â Ser Gwent scoffs, his moustache bristling again. âAct coy all you want, but remember your place, boy. Heâs the prince, and youâre his knight. One day, heâll be betrothed, and his husband wonât take your coyness as kindly as I do.â Â
The sea from this hillside looked endless; everything else in comparison looks small. The endless rooftops go from solid structures to dots the closer it gets to the sea. You flutter your eyes closed, inhaling and smiling when the smell of the sea reaches you. Itâs purer here, the smell not tainted with the smell of oil and wood and rusting steel if you were at the shipyard.Â
Your nephew squirms in your arms, and you peer down at him. His sleepy little blinks up at you make you chuckle. Selene and Alice barely hold themselves back from over your shoulder, making faces at the baby. Your sister reclines on the soft pillows, sighing softly while your father busies himself with picking out her favourite fruits from the large platter.Â
âDid you sleep well last night, baby brother?â Her question made your eyes widen. You adjust the baby in your hands, reaching to âscratchâ at your covered neck.Â
âWhat?â Your squeak made her cock a brow. A servant hands her the plate of curated fruit that she takes with a gentle smile.Â
âYou were gulping down wine like it was water. Ser Edmund had to escort you back to your room because you were swaying on your feet.âÂ
âIt was a celebration,â your father says as he reaches for the baby. You carefully hand him off and feel awfully exposed with having nothing to hold against your body. You pull your shoulders back, crossing your legs, then uncrossing them, then crossing them again. Everyone shares a look, but your father clears his throat and wills the moment to be forgotten.
âEvery young man has had his moment asleep on the floors of his room rather than his bed.â his words make your sister pout. âOnce upon a time, you were waddling around this garden and trying to stuff your face with grass, and now youâre a grown man stumbling back to your room drunk. Youâve changed, baby brother.â
âThat tends to happen when you grow up; itâs not as though you were around to see it.â Your retort wasnât meant to come off as icy as it did. But it did, and another moment was shared between everyone but you. You cross your legs, glancing out at the ocean, willing to be as tiny as the little rooftops and not as big and blue as the ocean during this conversation.Â
âResponsibility calls, Iâll not apologise for fulfilling my duties to my kingdom,â she replies in a firm tone. You hated it. These moments when you voice out, being taken as an indignant last-born stomping his feet. So you sigh an apology, reaching to rub your temples and that soothes her enough to nod in acceptance. Your father watches you shift in your seat, the high collar of your shirt catching the droplets of sweat from the heat of the sun that the breeze canât quite quell enough.Â
âSpeaking of responsibilities, the new Lord Elowen seemed interested in you.â
At once, you feel his tongue between the spaces of your fingers. Edmundâs hardened stare haunts you as he trails his lips over your knuckles. You curl your fingers in your lap and cover them, trying to forget the feeling of his body on top of yours, or his fingers inside of you, his tongue, his firm body, that timber in his voice as he praises you.Â
âLord Elowen?â You blinked in what you hoped came off as confusion.
Selene steps forward, and your breath hitches in your throat. She had her ears pressed to every wall and knew anything that happened in the dark corners of this castle. No gossip escaped her as long as someone had seen something. You try to recount last nightâs events. Trying desperately to push away the wanton moaning and grinding to the moment Ser Edmund pressed you against the wall in a quiet hallway. You didnât recall seeing anyone else there, but you had also been drunk as a skunk.Â
âLord Victor Elowen. The only son of the late Lord Simon Elowen. Their family has plenty of land and wealth that theyâve nearly squandered due to his fatherâsâŚâ she trails off and peeks at you. You nod at her, and she continues. âHis fatherâs addiction to gambling after the loss of his wife.â
Your sister reaches to hold your fatherâs shoulder. Selene resumes after a moment, âLord Victor has been doing well for himself in gaining more security. Oh, he also hails from the same academy as Ser Edmund.â
Your nails dig into your palm. Edmund was waiting just by the private gate, standing studiously as always. You grit your teeth, remembering waking up alone on your bed and Edmundâs indifference when you stepped out of your room. You furrowed your brows as you asked Selene to repeat herself.  Â
âTheyâre from this same academy?âÂ
It hits you slowly. The smirk Victor gave to Edmund was the indignant expression he returned. You had been between two old-schoolmates; the only reason Edmund had been incensed was because of their history. You were being treated like a prize that he simply couldnât allow someone to take first.Â
You clench and jut your lower jaw forward, glaring daggers into the ocean as Seleneâs words become muffled.
How dare he?
You clenched your fingers into fists on your lap while your thoughts raced with a thousand questions. Each one makes less and less sense as the memories of the night before burn you from the inside out. The hands that branded you so sweetly now reignited with a stinging pain. A jolt of pain strikes through your palm, and you loosen your fist before your nails dig into your palms.Â
âThat explains Ser Edmundâs skills then,â your father said. He laughs when the baby reaches for his beard. In fact, everyone shares a chuckle at it. Except you. You bring your glare to the entrance where Ser Gwent and Ser Edmund guarded.Â
You wished you could summon him to stand before you and question him. But just like how he âtaintedâ you with his mouth and fingers, that would need to be done behind closed doors with no prying eyes. You werenât acclaimed for your patience, and you could feel your body begin to simmer in anger; your heart was racing so loudly you could hear it drumming in your ear despite sitting down with a cool breeze combing through the garden.Â
âWell, my dearest baby brother always had an eye for hidden gems,â your sister says to you. It snaps you out of your tumultuous thoughts. âHidden gems?â she nods at your question.
âYouâre perceptive, maybe a touch naive, but you always see the potential in people. When father said you handpicked your maids, I worried.â
Selene and Alice shifted behind you. Squirming would be an apt description. But they settled when you glanced at them.Â
âKnowing where they came from.â You frown at her words, already irritated from the information of Ser Edmund and Lord Elowen, and sternly call out her name.Â
âMy maids and their past have nothing to do with my apparent perception. I gave them a chance, and they proved themselves to me. You do not have to put them down to praise me.â The king regards the tense air between you and your sister. When you stand up with a huff, he stops you; âThatâs enough. Sit down.â
âFather,â you retort. He cuts it off with a firm glare.
âSit. Down. Your sister's words werenât tactful, but they werenât malicious. Sheâs spent weeks at sea to visit, at your behest, to celebrate your nephewâs birthday with you. Stomping off is unbecoming of a prince.âÂ
Your sister turns her head away from you, glaring at the ocean, and you do the same when you sit.Â
Alice and Selene step closer, refilling your drink and fixing up the pillows to keep themselves busy. When they step in front of you, they give you a tight-lipped smile as a thank you. You give them a small nod, wanting to brush it off.Â
Although your reputation had never been associated with anything unkind, you knew that people like your sister saw you as naive, and your choices of staff and their lack of prestige didnât help. There were so many stories of kings getting poisoned, or entire royal bloodlines being eradicated by those they thought they could trust. Youâd listen to your father when he told it to you as bedtime stories, his tone dire and uncharacteristically serious from the man youâd known when the sun was up.Â
Alice and Selene had been born inside a brothel. There was nothing scandalous about it; it is not as though they had a choice in that regard. They had been working as maids in the castle, and you noticed the mistreatment theyâd gotten from the others. You could protect them, and you did, but theyâd earned it through being loyal to you. Alice was dutiful; her attention to detail, from how much volume of water your copper tub could hold to your favourite dessert, was proof of it. The ears and eyes Selene has all over the castle have been helpful to you and the kingdom, more than once.Â
And now, your knight who had no squire nor shining armour before he became a part of your guardâŚ
Your sister using where your maids had come from wasnât just tactless, it was unnecessary because it didnât apply to them.Â
Regarding Ser Edmund, however, it causes you to once again clench your jaw.Â
The gate to the garden opens to reveal the royal family. Edmund fixes his posture, turning to prepare himself to follow in step with you, but you walk past him. No, a brisk walk. You walked past him. Briskly.Â
Alice and Selene do their best to keep up, lifting their skirts slightly, and Ser Gwent coughs as he does his best to keep up. Edmund glances at the king and the princess, noting the pout on her face with raised brows. He tucks that information in the back of his head as his scabbard thuds dully against his armour.Â
âWhereâs the fire, Your Highness?â Ser Gwentâs coughs make your steps falter, and your maids nearly bump into your back when you slow down, but they manage to skid to a stop. Your shoulders were drawn up tight, like a bowstring pulled taut, and Edmund purses his lips when he sees the pattern on the high collar of your shirt. He hadnât left marks; he made sure of it, but had he?Â
Your outfit was making him second-guess. But Alice and Selene hadnât once given him an odd look. So he pushes his anxieties away and takes a step towards you.Â
âHas something happened, Your Highness?âÂ
Your shoulders hitch higher. You donât turn to face them, but you speak in a clipped tone: âYour concerns arenât needed, and neither is your presence.â
Edmund had never seen this side of you before. You were the handsome prince, the kind prince, the charming prince. Your voice had never hardened like this, nor had he seen your knuckles whiten or the striking sound of your heel against the floor as you stomped away. Edmundâs stunned. Heâd always thought you were like the sons of Lords and Dukes that attended his academy, bratty and indignant, but you proved him wrong.Â
But now, you were coming across as bratty. Stomping, huffing, speaking curtly.Â
Ser Gwent places his hands on his hips, shaking his head as he looks at Alice and Selene, who return his confused expression with a helpless one.Â
âA sibling spat?â they nod, sighing. Guilt was written across their faces, which piques Edmundâs interest.Â
âThought so, our young prince can be sensitive, and our princess can beâŚâ
âTactless,â Alice whispers. Ser Gwentâs moustache shudders as he rolls his shoulders.Â
âLetâs leave him to brood then.âÂ
âWhat? Just leave him?â Edmund exclaims.Â
âItâs the best thing to do when he gets like this,â Selene sighs.Â
âHe can beâŚâ she trails off.Â
âTactless?â Alice suggests.Â
âFor lack of a beâer word,â Ser Gwent replies.Â
Edmund can still see your shrinking figure from the end of the long walkway. When you make a turn, despite the distance, he can see your brows furrowed together tightly from your side profile.Â
âI thought the royal guards were supposed to keep him safe.âÂ
âHeâll be alright. You wonât be if you prod,â Selene gives him a contemplative look. Her eyes went from his face to his feet, then back to his face. Edmund narrows his eyes, clears his throat, then nods. When he tries to look at you, youâre gone.Â
Everyone gives you a wide berth the moment they see your face. They still greet you, but they scurry as you ignore them. You make your way through the hallways and stairwells, reaching for the only space in the castle that might be quiet enough to ease you. A place rarely anyone goes to, at least, on the usual days when youâre not hosting important guests.Â
Because when you slam open the library doors, the last person you expected to see was Lord Elowen, leaning against the oak table with a book in his hand. He stares at you while you stare at him. Then he smiles, and you turn around, cheeks burning from humiliation.Â
To be huffy in front of your family and staff didnât feel embarrassing.Â
But Lord ElowenâŚ
âForgive me, I wasnât aware anyone was in here.âÂ
Victor chuckles, pushing himself off the table as he meanders his way to one of the floor-to-ceiling shelves. You take a breath, taking a moment to compose yourself before you reach for the door handles. âIâll leave you to it, Lord Elowen.â
âPlease, Your Highness, donât go on the account of my presence. The library can be a quiet reprieve from the world. I wonât be loud.â
Victor offers you a smile when you hesitantly turn around. You donât say anything, but walk further in. Itâs strange being in this space with Victor when it was once soâŚVictor-less. You watch him moving from the corner of your eyes as you make your way to your usual seat. The shock of it all at least distracts you from your anger, and you grip onto the back of the chair when Seleneâs voice echoes in your head.Â
âLord Elowen, could you indulge me in a few of my questions?âÂ
His sapphire eyes turned nearly as white as his hair and beard when the light caught in them. He was like a walking, moving, breathing piece of art. He smiles like he did last night, all coy and sharp like he knows all your little secrets. Victor hums, getting closer with every step of his long legs.Â
He stops before heâs towering over you, but you count each of the steps just in case. The back of your hand prickles, remembering the feeling of his lips and beard, and again, Edmundâs ghostly touches return with a burning vengeance. You cup a hand over it, afraid Victor would know.Â
âHe was courting you to bed, as men do.â
âHow could I not indulge a sweet princeling? That would be endlessly cruel.âÂ
You scoff, but donât chastise him. So he relishes in testing the waters as he inches a bit closer, holding the book in his hand by its spine, pretending to scan through the text. Using indifference as camouflage. You could be asking him all sorts of things. About something boring, perhaps, territories or about what his favourite poet was. Or, maybe youâd heard about his father's gambling and the debt that people are too polite to talk to him about in front of his face.Â
But Victor has an inkling itâs neither of those.Â
âI heard that you and Ser Edmund are acquainted.â
If being right were a drug, Victor would never be sober. Another step forward, and he answers.
âWe used to be, when we were boys. Iâm not surprised if he hasnât mentioned me. Edmundâs not the friendly type. Awfully quiet,â but Victor hangs the words in the air, and your cheek twitches impatiently. âSo damn cocky. Even when he hasnât said a word, it was written all over his face.â
You had seen that smugness before while sword training, or when heâs on his stead, and you nod slightly. Victor sits on the arm of your chair. Despite his height and beard, the way he holds himself is awfully boyish. You donât seem to mind his lack of distance, though your eyes are still sharp. So Victor tilts his head, and his neck bears itself from the motion.Â
It was a hot day, so his lack of layers made sense if he were in his own home. His white top became translucent under the sunlight, and the open lacing reveals his collarbones and a whisper of his chest. You pull your eyes away, taking a sharp intake of breath.Â
âWhat was he like when you were closer?âÂ
Victor shuts his book, then places it on his lap.Â
âIf I answer your questions, would you indulge in mine, Your Highness?âÂ
âPerhaps,â your tone is far from friendly, but Victor likes the bluntness.
âHe came from nothing in a school full of people like you and me.â Victor attempts to begin. You laugh in his face. Not even trying to cover your mouth as your lips curl away from your teeth.Â
âI didnât intend to make a joke,â Victor says. You burst into chuckles, shaking your head as you regard him with a pointed tilt of your head.Â
âPeople like you, maybe. Princes don't go to mountainside academies. But go on.â
Selene, Alice, and Ser Gwent had saved Edmund a heap of trouble. You werenât quite as calm and kind when youâve been put in a mood. The indignation that your bloodline had gained through years and years of monarchy reveals itself, and it wasnât the most pleasant experience for most.Â
Victor felt his cheeks lift into an honest grin.Â
âMy sincerest apologies, Your Highness.â Victor reaches for your hand on the back of the chair and brings your knuckles to his lips. He keeps his eyes connected to yours; they glimmered once again under the sun, and you hum in mock contemplation, slipping your hand out of his.Â
âTell me, how does a boy without any titles or wealth get accepted in the same academy as you, Lord Elowen?â
âA letter of recommendation from a knight whoâd been an alumnus, and a hefty sum of coins. Edmund had earned his respect, I suppose. Though the teachers found it hard to believe. He couldnât read, write, or barely enunciate his words. He fought dirty, he bit a boyâs ear almost clean off once.â
It was Victorâs turn to chuckle. He seemed genuinely tickled by it, and you held back the urge to pout your lips keenly.
âThe boy shit on his pillow because Edmund said a scarecrow held together with his shit wouldâve been more talented than he was.â
You curl your nose, a full-body shudder going through you at the thought. Victor mused inwardly with his teasing, relishing in the disgust on your face.Â
âDoes he often retaliate so violently?â
âYour Highness, you were blessed with being born into a palace where not one hand could lay harm on you without fear of losing it. Edmund was not. There was a hierarchy of order that left him with little choice. Either submit, or dominate.â
Victor stands, and once again, he towers over you. Despite the piece of furniture between you, he makes it feel as though he has you pinned to a wall. You met his gaze, daring him to pull closer to you. Victor huffs in laughter, being respectful of the line youâd drawn in the sand. At least, for now.Â
âHe wasnât one to submit. I doubt thatâs changed.âÂ
Edmund is by your door alone. You donât give him a passing glance, and he pretends not to care despite the tightened grip on his hilt. He opens the door for you, and your face remains stony but no longer irate with annoyance. He was told to expect silence from the others. That it was better compared to your glares and snarky retorts.Â
He should say something to you; he knows it. Last night had beenâŚa series of crazy and stupid decisions that could have separated his head from his body if anyone were to find out. Edmund opens his mouth to speak, but the words die on his tongue when you tell him to close the door behind him.
âYour Highness?â
You snap your head his way, nose curling. âHave you gone deaf since the last time Iâd seen you? I said, "Close the door behind you.â
Edmund clenches his jaw and sucks in his cheeks, but does as heâs told. Youâre angry. Edmundâs usual method of a night of passion and a morning of nothingness wasnât the wisest choice when it was done against the prince of the kingdom by his knight.Â
The door thuds solemnly, and there is no panting or his armour falling to the ground that follows. Just tense silence.Â
You walk to the same couch heâd rutted against like a dog while his tongue was inside of you. You sit there and cross your legs. Edmund approaches cautiously, watching you like youâre an animal about to maul him.Â
âYour Highness ââ
âKneel.â
It catches him off-guard. He blinks, mouth hanging open, while you brace on your palms and finally look at him.Â
âKneel, Ser Edmund.â
Heâs kneeled before you plenty of times. He wasnât the first; he wouldnât be the last. You could demand it out of anyone in this castle âexcept for your familyâ and to deny you would be treason to the crown. But this was different.
This wasnât kneeling to be given a title as your Royal Guard. There was no honour, nor pride in his chest. He felt like he was kneeling in front of an executioner. His breath trembles, but he steels himself to bring one knee down to the floor of your room. You click your tongue, and Edmund links your gaze together. There was a shadow cast across your face, swallowing any traces of patience that you had as your lips thinned into a displeased frown.Â
âBoth knees.â
âExcuse me?â Edmund couldnât help the clipped tone.Â
His voice was like a heavy rock thrown into a frozen lake. It shatters the icy facade, and you stand in a fury, reaching for the rim of his armour to pull his torso forward enough that it nearly makes him stumble forward. Edmund could endure a lot. He has endured for years and earned comfortable sleeping quarters, along with the mountains of food he had once only dreamed of.Â
The knightâs pride, however, hinged on where he stood in these situations. It was engraved into him from those blisteringly cold nights in the academy in the mountains. When his knuckles stung from the cuts and torn apart flesh after proving to these Little Lords that he was better than them. That he couldnât be pinned down or pushed to the dirt without a fight.Â
He moves swiftly, without thinking. Your brow twitches when he catches your wrist in his hand. He catches himself just in time, but the action is done.Â
âThatâs a harsh grip,â you sounded bored. Edmund met your gaze, and his breath hitches in his throat. You slip your hand out of his, bringing your palm to his cheek. He canât move. Fuck, he could barely breathe. You stared down at him like he was barely worth breathing the air youâre breathing. He brought his other knee down, and your lips twitch in amusement.Â
The hand against his face is tender, your palms soft as you take him in from this angle. With Edmund looking up at you on his knees, you felt a strange thrill of something new. You bring your thumb to his chin, and your lips threaten to pout when he gives resistance to you attempting to move his head to the side. He huffs and clenches his jaw when you try again anyway.Â
âIs this how you expect me to apologise to you for last night?â he said.
Your face flushes, and you click your tongue as you let go of his chin. You spin around sharply, settling back onto your seat with a flourish of your legs crossing. Edmund doesnât even amuse you with settling back onto his calves, his back as straight as a mighty pillar as he continues to watch you.Â
âYou should be grovelling for what youâve done this morning.â Youâre not looking at him anymore. You glared stubbornly at the view of the ocean from the windows. âYou left me after promising to stay, acting like nothing had happened as you escorted me to the garden. I trusted you.â
That would have been your biggest mistake. Edmund wasnât known for his bedside manners. His eyes soften, and he sighs as he bows his head.Â
âYou used me to get back at Victor.â
Edmundâs expression twisted into something sour.Â
Victor?Â
Victor?
Vic. Tor?
His fingers curled behind his back, the leather of his gloves creaking under the pressure as he let that sink in. The sound of his name coming out of the princeâs mouth. Familiar, as if you got close and knew him. It stirred something inside his chest, something he knew well enough. It was anger, well and simple. But it wore a different coat this time, a different skin. It carried itself the same way, beginning from the centre of his chest and pumping through his veins like an angry stampede of horses. His heart pounds, his jaw clenches, he furrows his brows, and flares his nostrils.Â
But there was doubt, and Edmundâs anger had never been filled with doubt before. It was righteous and confident. Yet, the knight hears a whisper in his mind that mocks him.
âA tattered cape, or a gleaming cape. Heâll never be yours in any way that matters.â
âWhat gave you that impression?â his voice strains to slip out between his teeth. Your brown-eyed knight has the gall to glower.Â
âYou hailed from the same academy. He was older, he tells meââ
âHe told you?â Edmundâs back somehow becomes more rigidly upright. All of his weight is now on his knees. Itâs uncomfortable, what with his armour and leather straps, but he could barely feel anything with the way his head raced.Â
âYou had a conversation with him?âÂ
â...Alone.â You lean back on the seat. Revelling in his burst of emotion.Â
Youâd never seen him like this before. Not during the tourney, not during the times he follows you to the city, not even from the night before. This was a new side of Edmund; it was addicting to watch. The sudden desperation heâs barely able to conceal as he inhales sharply.
âIn the library.â Â
Edmund gets up onto one knee, closing the distance to pin his hands next to your hips as he cages you. You drown in his presence. The armour, the snow-white cape, the way heâs breathing as he reaches for the collar of your shirt. You try to protest, but he gives you no reprieve and wins the tug of war against your buttons. Despite the crude method â or because of it â your neck and shoulder reveal themselves to him.Â
âWhat do you think youâre doing!?â Youâre glaring daggers up at him. Lips curled and teeth flashing as you struggle. Itâs a farce. You could get out of his grip. Kicking your foot forward, connecting your knuckles to his jaw â Hell, you could even spit in his face if you were feeling particularly pissed off.Â
This display of squirming and hissing was just for your pride. To prove to yourself that you had âfoughtâ. If Edmund werenât so angry at the moment, he would have found it adorable. From a beast ready to maul him, to a fussy kitten in the blink of an eye.
âYouâre inspecting me?âÂ
Edmund scoffs at your indignance. You grunt when he turns your head and pulls at your shirt until it opens, revealing your torso now. The way your chest heaves with every breath, as though being angry was physically labouring for a prince like you. Edmund wouldnât be surprised if that were the case. His anger calms a margin at the blemish-free canvas of your skin.
âI told you that he wanted to fuck you, and you ran to him to be alone in the same library where you admitted your virginity to me.âÂ
Edmund leans in, forcing your eyes to meet.Â
âWas it a lie?â
You bring your foot to his chest, and Edmund grunts when his knee slips from the end of the couch. His back meets the floor in a loud crash, but he doesnât give you any time to get on top. Heâs agile despite the armour, and the shock on your face fuels his confidence when he grabs your wrist and pins it to your chest.Â
He uses his strength and his weight against you as he pins you down onto the seating. Youâre actually fighting now. The way your pupils are pin-pricked as you lock your legs around his waist. He guffaws when your crotches bump into the other.Â
âYouâre proving my point; no virgin would be so comfortable with this position,â he says, panting. The prince beneath him twists, and Edmund has no time to get back onto his feet when he crashes to the ground because you give him â nor yourself â any space for disconnection. He canât tell if it's because of the thud the back of his head took, or if the sight of you, nearly topless, on top of him, but he felt a bit lightheaded.
âI could have your head for your words,â you hiss at him as you grab at the rim of his armour again. Forcing him to lift his head off the ground, and he groans at the exertion on his abdomen, with you on his lap. When he tries to brace his weight with his arm, you drop him, then pin his wrist next to his head.Â
âIs that what you think of me? A naive princeling who opens his legs for handsome men that come across his way?â
âHe thinks Iâm handsome?â Edmund actually laughs at that, and your ears burn at the sound.Â
âQuit that! Do you think of this as a joke!?â You squeeze his wrist.Â
âI was embarrassed! You â You had me on this seat, whispered praises to my naked skin, and â and you just left the next morning after promising to stay. Then, I found out Victor and you had a boyish rivalry. That was what last night was, wasnât it? It was the spark that ignited the flame; you wouldnât have done what you did last night if Victor wasnât there.â
âStop saying his name so casually,â Edmund warned. âHe is a selfish person; his words sound like honey, but he is nothing but a self-centred asshole.âÂ
âYou realise that youâre describing yourself,â You reply with a derisive tone.Â
Edmund doesnât deny it. His lips curl into a smirk once again. You wonder if the fall to the floor had been that hard or if this was the true him once you had peeled away all the knightly honour.Â
âLast night was bound to happen, with or without him being there. Do you realise how beautiful you are?â Edmund made a show of dragging his eyes to your face, to your chest, then to your stomach.Â
âFlattery will get you nowhere.â
âIâm not known for my flatteryâŚYour Highness.âÂ
Your grip loosens, and Edmund slowly peels his arm off the floor. They make their way to your wrist, his thumbs pressing there to feel the beat of your heart, then sensually trailing up to the underside of your arms. Thereâs still a layer between your skin and his touch, but the feeling of his leather and his grip made your eyelids twitch.Â
Edmundâs path continues to your shoulder, your neck, your collarbone, your chestâŚyour waistâŚyour hipsâŚYour breath hitches.Â
At the coarseness of his gloves. The low groan he makes when he can see your pupils expand. His tongue skimmed over his lower lip as if he were tasting something sweet.
It would be a foolish thing to accept his lust once again. This time without the cover of moonlight, nor the heat of your hearth. There was no mead or wine to place the blame on. Only your impulsiveness, and his too-handsome smirk. You scoff with your brows tightly pinched, and Edmund squeezes you. Drawing out more reactions, somethingâanything he could catch with his five senses. With the lack of clouds in the skies, he can take in nearly everything you canât help but show him.Â
When he slides his hands up to the underside of your chest, and you suck in a breath but pretend to glare down at him, Edmundâs grin widens.Â
You much preferred him from the night. The knight was less rough with you; every action felt more like worship. The way he was conducting himself before you in the moment was making your jaw clench. There was a thought of simply climbing off his lap and commanding him to leave your quarters. The very idea gave you a thrill of satisfaction.
But Edmund snuffs the daydream by grabbing the nape of your neck and tugging it back. You gasp as your back arches awkwardly. The prince grasps at Edmundâs wrist, lifting his weight onto his knees instead of Edmundâs lap, which gives him more of the advantage. With the weight off of him, heâs quick to pin you to the floor. Bracing the back of your head with his hand, still mindful of your safety. You hate that your heart flutters so naively at it, but it couldnât be helped.Â
Edmund has you in a familiar pose. With your legs hitched on his hips and your body splayed beneath him. Your eyes are still set into that sharp glare, but the apathy that made his spine shiver was gone, so Edmund takes it as a sign to continue. It wasnât too long ago, so the memory of your breathless face after heâd locked lips with you in the hallway replayed in his mind; like a greedy beast, he wanted to see it again, and again, and again.Â
You really were such a beautiful man. It wasnât his fault that heâd fallen for your teasing ploys. Thatâs what Edmund tells himself as he leans in to connect your lips. You give him resistance by stubbornly keeping your lips sealed and unpouted; he growls against it. His free hand that isnât cushioning your head grasps your chin and pries your lips open. He swallows your moans, tasting you and the floral tea Alice and Selene had steeped for you. The sweetness from the fruit still lingers on your tongue, and Edmund groans as he cups your face in his hands. Youâre trying to find a grip on his armour, and the more your nails scratch at it, the more your frustrations grow.Â
You couldnât allow him to have the same amount of control as last night. Your pride was on the line. Victorâs words about dominating and submitting echo through your mind. Edmund wasnât someone who took those challenges lightly. As proven by asking him to kneel. Still, he gained the upper hand. The method may have been less than refined, but he had you right where he wanted you. On the floor of your own room, while his thumb pried open your lower jaw.
âOn the bed,â he barely heard it through your panting, but Edmund refocused his vision. That petulant face of yours was becoming something he could find himself enjoying again. âYouâll not have me sprawled on the ground like Iâm some common bitch.â
The sharpness in your tone has the corners of Edmundâs lips lifting into a sharp smirk. âYou should live a little, Your Royal Highness.âÂ
âMind your words, Ser Edmund,â you level your glare at him and keep pointing them his way when he helps you get up from the floor. Now standing, you shoulder your way past him to stand at the end of your bed. There was a tremor going through your fingers that you were hiding from him as you reached for the sheets and tugged them away.Â
âToo much excitement could cost you,â the princeâs voice doesnât waver as he says it. For Edmund, itâs a warning, and for you, itâs a reminder.
Edmund undoes the straps of his armour. You try to do the same for the lacing of your pants, but find it difficult with your shaky hands. What were you thinking? Last night should have been enough for youâin fact, last night shouldnât have even happened in the first place! You were jeopardising Edmundâs honour and his own life if you continued to dance this dance with him. Not to mention the dishonour you would bring to your family if rumours of this spread around the castle, worse yet, around the kingdom.Â
The promiscuous prince. Bored of being good and kind. You squeezed your eyes shut, willing these thoughts to go away until Edmundâs bare skin pressed to the curve of your back. You breathe shakily, staring at the sheets below you as he trails his lips to the junction of your neck and shoulder. His hands slide to your stomach, and he doesnât stop his journey down south, even with the constriction of your pants. Your knight takes the lack of space as an advantage.Â
His warm palm cupping your cock as he grinds against it. Your hands find purchase on his forearms, feeling the movement of muscles and skin as he presses your ass to his crotch. Your breath hitches, a soft noise escaping you as he catches your decorated earlobe between his teeth. The taste of gold and perfumed sweat caused shivers to run down his spine.Â
âYouâre so wet,â Edmund whispers huskily as he noses at your jaw. âJust like the night before, so eager.â
Although his tone causes your skin to ripple with goosebumps, it strikes a chord. How arrogant! His cocky smirk, his indignant jealousy, and now his blase mention of last night despite your expression of hurt for his leaving in the morning mere minutes ago!Â
You grit your teeth together, turning to glare out at the arches of your balcony. The ocean was getting your full wrath today, and it had only one person to blame for it; the man with his hands in your pants and his clothed cock pressed to your backside. Edmund takes in the petulant profile of your faceâthe tightly drawn brows with your pressed lipsâ and slips two fingers between your folds. He catches the twitch and flutter of your eyelids and grins as he presses a kiss to your neck.Â
âNo scathing retort, Your Highness?âÂ
âDo you wish to be beheaded that badly?âÂ
Edmund barked out a laugh. It was something new for your ears, strange even. There was a raspiness as he inhaled, an imperfection in his beautiful voice that causes your heart to skip a beat again. You attempt to pry his hands out of your pants, and he placates the tantrum by lewdly pressing a wet kiss to your neck. Your mouth opens, and Edmund is prepared to hear those noises of pleasure once again.Â
He hears your inhale sharply, and then a shaky exhale after a thick swallow. At first, he thinks nothing of it. Maybe he had caught you just as you were about to verbally threaten him, but it happens again when he has you on your hands and knees on your bed âit was the softest piece of furniture he had ever been on. His knees dipped into the covers as he nearly lost his balance, and it was a wonder why you ever get up every morningâ and heâd had his cock pressed to your ass.
Your back curved and arched like restless waves as he grinded against you. Letting you feel just how hard he was as your bare cunt winked in the morning light. Every time he pressed, he could see you inhale and clutch at your bedsheets. But no sound escaped you. He dropped his weight onto your torso, forcing you to buckle to the sheets as he rutted against you, causing your legs to splay open as he pressed his teeth into your neck. Not hard enough to bruise, but enough to have you shivering.Â
Yet again, he gets nothing but a sharp inhale and a low, barely audible groan while you squirm underneath him helplessly.Â
âAre you afraid that Ser Gwent is standing outside your door?â You hide your face in the covers, trying to ignore how deep his voice had gotten as he pinned you down. You could hear every effort he made as he continued to grind his clothed dick to your glistening cunt. The bed creaked as he mouthed at your neck, growling softly in frustration as you remained quiet.
âHe isnât. Heâd told me to leave you alone when you get pouty.â
âA prince does not pout.â
âAh, so you do have a voice.â
You shoot him a glare from over your shoulder, and he meets the heated gaze with narrowed eyes. Edmund kicks your thighs further apart with his knees, and you make a dignified âalbeit weakâ protest as your legs are now spread like a frog.Â
âSer Gwent understands me enough to know to leave me alone when Iâmââ
âPouty?â
âAngry!âÂ
Edmund laughs again, and again you will your heart to calm itself.Â
âAnger looks different for you highborns.â
Edmund palms at your ass, and you turn away to bring your elbows in. Your shoulder hitched up defensively, but no matter what you do to attempt to hide your reactionsâŚthe trembling in your thighs was hard to miss. He grips and gropes at the mound, running his tongue over his teeth as he remembers the countless times his eyes had drifted to it during your horse riding sessions.Â
âYou donât know me well enough,â you whisper. Edmund barely catches it, but it leaves him confused as he waits for you to continue. âYou accuse me of being promiscuous. You do not know me well enough.â
âAnd how am I to know who you are? In the weeks since youâve chosen me to become your knight, youâve frolicked in front of me in your flimsy nightwear and robe. Drape yourself over the chaise lounge and lick at the stems of candied apples for dessert.âÂ
He bites the air as he speaks, gripping your ass tight enough to have you whimpering.Â
âHave you deluded yourself into thinking youâre innocent? That thisââ Edmund strikes at your backside, and your mouth hangs open in a silent scream, something that irks him even further as he continues ââisnât because of you?â
You felt welling in your eyes as you hung your head. Itâd been years since youâd been struck on your backside. It was a cruel childhood punishment when you were deemed too unbecoming. Humiliation burned in your face as you felt your cock twitching against your sheets.Â
âI know you enjoy riding horses and reading. That you adore your people enough to ride down so freely, not afraid to touch lowborns or gossip with them and make them feel comfortable while they bathe you. Do you think these nice things you do negate the lust you planted between us?âÂ
âThat was not my intention!â You reply, trying hard to keep your tears at bay as you grit your teeth. âIâd only tried to get to know you better. Those morning trips to the library werenât to tempt you, it was quiet, and we could talkââ
âWith your thighs bare of clothes?â Edmund scoffed.
âI wore a fucking robe, didnât I!?â You shouted into the sheets.
Edmund stared, stunned. HadâŚhad he completely misread the entire interaction then? Had he been the perverse man in this situation? There wasâ you couldnât have possibly been that naive!Â
But he thinks and recalls those mornings. How youâd ask about his favourite books, or what season he enjoyed the most and if he had ever grown attached to a sword before.Â
âAm IâŚtempting you, Ser Edmund?â
He curled his lips and struck at you again. You gasp, bucking up onto your knees, to which he strikes you, reprimandingly.Â
âYouâre sheltered beyond belief, being surrounded by these old men and women. Have you no idea what a face like yours does to men like me?âÂ
You say nothing. Just shiver underneath him, and whimper when he calms the stinging of your ass with his palm.Â
âYou chose me to protect you, and look at what Iâm doing. What you let me do to youâŚâÂ
You donât want to look. You refuse to lift your head from the safety of your arms and the sheets youâve clutched. Edmund wonders if heâs gone too far. He hadnât struck you hard enough to bruise, but he supposes a pampered prince like you would be the type to shake like a lamb when treated like so. It annoys him. Youâre a constant dichotomy.Â
God, then human.Â
Intelligent then naĂŻve.Â
Lustful, then innocent.Â
Strong, then trembling.Â
You trusted him too much. Which was no fault of yours. It was his dutyâyour life was forever before his own now. He sharpened his sword for you, and heâd lay down his life for you.Â
But this obscenity? Was it his fault or yours?
Edmund pulled his palm away and checked your skin. He kneads at it to see how tender it is, and heâs glad you donât flinch or whine in pain.Â
âYouâre too kind to me, Your Highness.âÂ
You shift, trying to sneak a peek at Edmund as he splits your ass apart with his hands. You try not to clench, but being so exposed makes it hard to control your composure. There had been no etiquette classes about this after all.Â
âSer Edmund, please.â You reach to cover yourself and folds then pin your left arm to your back.
âDonât squirm. Youâre aching for me, right?â
He presses his crotch to you again, and you chew on your lip to stop yourself from groaning.Â
âMy tongueâŚmy fingersâŚI can feel how impatient you are.â
Edmund goes back to that arrogant facade, and you cover your face with your hands at it. You go through the motions of wondering if this was something you should be expecting from him all the time now. Then you grimaced at the implications of âall the timeâ. When had that been accepted?Â
Were you that eager for it like heâd said?Â
You felt him shift behind you, and furrow your brows when he got off the bed. You purse your lips, stopping yourself from asking him what he was doing lest you stroke his ego. Edmund is walking towards the copper tub, panting and brushing his hair back as he searches for something among the bottles of oils and scents that Alice had arranged.Â
âWhat are you doing?â You turn to lay on your side, ignoring how wet your thighs are as your legs close themselves. Edmund lifts a bottle to his nose, and scrunches his nose before reaching for another. You lift yourself to sit, catching your breath from the heavy grinding toâŚnothing. Edmund thought it was only fair; you were keeping your voice to yourself and he was going to go along with this game. It was much easier to distract himself with that instead of ruminating on your confession.Â
âI figured youâre curious about men laying with men,â Edmund cocks his head, âso am I.â
The liquid inside the bottle he lifts sloshes lazily, the dark blue glass still clear enough for you to see its cloying movement.Â
âI heard using oils helps.âÂ
You scan his face for an ounce of humour. Edmund walks up to the bed, the tent in his pants and the darkening of his eyes embarrassingly causes your hunger to increase tenfold. He was so excited, and so sure. For a moment, you could almost imagine Lord Elowen in Edmundâs place. Sapphire eyes, and that sharp smirk as he stalks forward; did all the alumnus from their academy learn to smirk cockily?Â
Edmund cupped your face, his thumb finding itself perched on your lower lip as he pulled it down to see your teeth. You hate how he makes you feel in these momentsâit felt mocking, and your ass still stung from his short outburst. When you bring his hand to your jaw, your breath hitches and he can feel it as he tilts your head up. Edmund gets on his knees, tipping the bottle of oil down your chest and your eyelids flutter at the sensation. It was warm from the exposure to the sun and as it trailed down to your hard cock you actually flinched, earning a hitch of your breath.Â
âWarm?âÂ
âYes,â you sighed out.Â
Flushed, you jerk away from his hold. Edmundâs grip doesnât falter, and he leans in to kiss you again. Heâs spreading the oil around your body, keeping this kneeled position above you. His hands pull you in by your ass, making your dick grind against his knee as he tangles your tongues together. With his hands still coated in oil, he reaches for your backside and you squeak as he circles a finger over your hole.Â
âThere?â
âYes.â
Your brows slope pitifully again. The library goes through his mind, so does the night with Victor, and Edmund places his forehead over yours as he hovers his lips over yours. Edmund tries to find the words as you both breathe each other's air for a moment. The noises of the kingdom below were so distant but so blaring when youâre this close with no words uttered. He shouldnât say anything, nothing would help this. But youâre pleading again, staring at him like youâre searching for answers and tempting him to damn himself even more.
ââŚI was unkind to you this morning, but that had not been my intention. My sworn duty is to protect you, Your Highness, let me serve you.â
It was ridiculous. The absurdity of his words actually pulls at your lips, and his. You both shared a grin, and broke into soft laughter. Nothing more was shared, just you shaking your head while he pressed a kiss to your cheek. You both werenât going to stop doing thisâfor whatever reason you both have, you wonât and this was only going to be the beginning. Might as well get comfortable.Â
You feltâŚglad that this wasnât an arranged ordeal with someone you didnât know after an exhaustingly grand wedding. It was your knight, closer to your age, handsome, and loyal. It wasnât as though you were in love with him, you doubt you would be and neither would he. This would be easy, and passionate. All youâd need to do is keep it quiet.Â
âAre you done pouting?â he teases in a soft tone. You narrow your eyes at him, scoffing.Â
He retorts by slipping a digit inside. Your mouth opens, but you desperately try to keep yourself composed as he grips onto your hips and forces it to move back and forth. The feeling has you bracing your forehead on his collarbone. Panting against his skin as he works more and more of his fingers inside of you. Your teeth brushed over his skin as you groaned low in your throat, feeling him stretching you out.Â
At one point, you stopped needing his guidance for your movement. Naturally rocking back into him and forward to stimulate yourself. Edmund praises you for it, reaching for the glass bottle again to pour more down the curve of your back.Â
âYouâYouâll stain the sheets,â your swollen lips meet his earlobe and Edmund suppresses the urge to shudder.Â
âTell your maids you spilled it by accident then. One more, youâre doing so well for me.â
Three fingers have you sucking in, and Edmund can feel just how tightly you clench around him. He groans in anticipation, growling softly as he angles his aim to make you dig your nails into his shoulders. The sting of the welts made him moan your name, and you gasped pathetically as you came on his lap.
âFuck, youâre so beautiful,â Edmund keeps them still ass he lets you rest for a moment. The moment of reprieve feels short-lived, because youâre still too warm and too stiff with him touching you inside and out.Â
âYour cock,â you whisper. âI want to see your cock too.â
Edmund had nearly forgotten about it. Too focused on watching you, and pleasuring you. It twitches in his pants, almost as angry as you had been, thanks to Edmundâs neglect. He unlaces his pants, and your eyes widen at the sight of it.Â
You had seen cocks before. Some commonfolk piss on the side of the roads, and youâd take lessons with wise men who taught you about where heirs come from. The cocks in those illustrations were comically small compared to whatâs between Edmundâs legs.Â
âTaking anâ eyeful of it?â His words make you shove at his shoulder. Edmund laughs softly, bringing you in closer as he kisses your cheek.Â
âItâs aching for you.âÂ
âItâs twitching.â
âYeah, just like yours.â
He tilts your hips, acquainting yours with his. Your length stood tall and firm, but against his it was hard to compare. For a second you felt envy, and Edmund raised a brow at the huff you do.Â
âRock your hips against mine.âÂ
Now, this was dangerous. One little slip, one charged look, one pleading expression and there was a chance Edmund would ruin you. But when your warm cunt is pressed to his naked cock, all thoughts of caution escape him. Youâre clumsy, a bit uncoordinated but thatâs what Edmund is for.Â
âSlow down, be patient.â You give a whine of frustration, but heâs patient as he rocks his hips in tandem with yours. Correcting your pace with a tight grip then squeezing at your chest as he watches you work for it. The sounds your cocks make as they frottage together would make a whore blush, but youâre still chewing on your lower lip to deprive him.
âYouâre feeling good? Having my dick rubbing against yours like this, covering it in slick.âÂ
You flutter your eyes closed, tossing your head back. Edmund admires the sight youâre showing him, the oil making you glisten in the light as you drown in pleasure. He hisses between his teeth when his cockhead catches, and it's enough to remind him to stop.Â
He stops you with a call of your name. Gentle as he guides you down onto the sheets again.Â
âHands and knees. Itâll be easier to bear the stretch.âÂ
You curl your fingers unsurely in the sheets.Â
âWill I bleed?â
âIâve stretched you enough, it shouldnât.â
ââŚEdmund, if I shit bloodââ
He quiets your ramblings with another kiss. An effective method all-in-all seeing as its worked thrice now.Â
When youâre posed as heâs asked, Edmund lathers his cock with the oil as well. You wait with bated breath, staring at the great blue scenery as he positions himself to your hole. His thumb rub patterns against your hips as he tells you to exhale slowly. When he pushes in, you instinctively try to inch forward and he guides you back.Â
âShh, youâre doing so well, so good for me,â he braces his knuckles on the bed and you try to breathe through the pressure as he slowly inches more of himself inside of you. Youâre groaning, hiding your face as your toes curl and your back arches.Â
âYouâre splitting me open.â
All at once, Edmund stops. He stares at your glimmering back, and zones in the trembles of your shoulders.Â
âYour Highness, are youââ
âDonât stopâŚâ
Had his ears deceived him?
You turn your head, tears darkening your lashes as you wet lips part and you say it again.
âDonât stop, Ser Edmund.â
The feeling of being filled had your jaw unhinging. Any composure you had held onto had disappeared as you bit down on the pillows. Edmund was halfway in now, and not getting any smaller as he pushed and pushed. Your entrance fluttered around him, one moment pushing him out then sucking him in as he tries not to act like some old drunkard whoâd come before heâs even sheathe inside.
But youâre impossibly tight despite the preparations and oils.Â
He grunts when you try to push yourself back. The vein on his neck jumps as he grit his teeth, hissing your name as he finally, finally, bottoms out. The moan you let out nearly makes him come undone, but instead he smiles in victory as he stares at the sheen of sweat on your back.Â
âFinally, a noise of reciprocation.â
âShutâŚnghahâŚitâŚâ
When Edmund moves, youâre doing everything you can not to make noises. Youâre gathering the sheets in your arms as he thrusts in and out of you, his sweat dripping onto you as his cock bullies your insides. Youâre sure there's spit and drool all over the pillow youâve been biting but you would not allow him to win this. Even if youâre sure you might just die from pleasure as he jerks your body back and forth on the bed.Â
Your legs are trembling as he grips on your shoulders, unwilling to pull out more than necessary as his hips ground deep into you. Youâre choking on your breath, muffling it as your hair begins to stick to the sides of your temples and neck. The thoughts that had been in your brain, anxieties that had plagued you for years, disappeared as Edmund began to pick up his pace.
âFuh-Fuck, I canâtâI canâtââ
âYeah? What is it? What do you need?â He slows down and your hips give out. Both of you groan when his cock slips out because of the motion. Youâre limp on the bed, twitching involuntarily as you try to lift yourself again.Â
Edmund canât stop the way he stares at your winking cunt presented before him. Or the gape heâd given your hole thatâs desperately trying to clench around air.Â
You werenât empty for long, and with this position, heâs so close to you that your skin was sticking together from sweat and oil. He sneaks an arm around your shoulder, forcing your head up as he puts all his weight on you again while he thrusts into you. His eyes were burning as he tilted your head to his face, satisfaction filling him as you blearily stared up at him.Â
His eyes widened as he caught the scar on your lip and the blood on the pillow.Â
âYou stubborn shit,â he tries to inspect it but you tell him to ignore it. This time youâre shutting him up, and heâs too close to cumming that he canât help but reciprocate. Your blood was like iron in his mouth, which is not an unfamiliar taste. Edmundâs thrusting gets faster and youâre struggling to kiss and keep your voice down as he continues.Â
âYouâre close, youâre tightening around me so deliciously.â
âPlease, Ser Edmundâ IâmâIââ
You bite down on his lower lip and Edmund barely has enough time before he pulls his cock out of you. He curses, spilling his seed on your back as he hips jerk in the air. The abruptness of the moment had you shaking, your cock spent from the constant stimulation from his hands, then lap, then frogging his cock and finally the sheets; you try to lift your hips again, whimpering from the sensation of the heat and friction.
âShit, are you alright?â Edmund gently turns you around onto your side and he sucks in a breath at the sight of your fucked out face.Â
âYour HighnessâŚâ he swallows thickly, feeling his dick twitching again. He ignores it in favour of checking on your lip, sweeping your hair away from your face as he assesses the state of you. No hickeys, or marksâŚhe glances at your hips and his shoulders droop in relief.Â
When you come to, Edmundâs dressed, though his armour was neatly placed on the seat, and carefully filling your tub. You take long, slow blinks then glance out at the ocean. The sky had not darkened by a margin, which relieved you.Â
âYou didnât sleep long,â Edmund called out from where he stood. You try to sit up and grimace at the discomfort in your hips. He furrows his brows and comes over to your side.Â
âHere, let me help you.â You donât push him away as he lifts you onto your feet, holding you up steadily as you limp towards the tub.
âHow did you get the water here? Did you call for Alice? Selene!?â
âIâm not an idiot,â he reassures as he lifts you up, ignoring/revelling in your yelp of shock, then places you in the tub. âI told them you wanted something specific for dinner, so theyâve gone down to the market since you only trust their judgement for produce. Then called some servants to bring the buckets up, and said you werenât in the mood because of a sibling spat which drove them away fast.â
You scoff, shaking your head as you relax into the water.Â
âTheyâre acting like Iâll bite their heads offâŚâ Edmund rolled his sleeves up, snickering. âYou threatened to behead me twice just today.â
You actually blush at that, embarrassment colouring you as you duck your head. Edmund is relieved youâre back to your usual self. He kneels next to the tub, dipping the sponge in the water and tilting your head up to clean the cut.
ââŚDonât be alone with ViâLord Elowen again. Please.âÂ
You stare up at him, but he keeps his gaze focused on your lips.Â
The train doodle got me fixated on Edmund again, so I fixed up the previous drawing of him since it felt a bit incomplete. So here, I have some more art since he has really captivated me (âĎâ )
(I kinda also wanna draw my version of the jousting scene, te-he)

Hello! First and foremost, I am so incredibly grateful in everyone's interest in Edmund, and being so incredibly patient with me! I'm slowly getting into the groove of writing again. I'll be posting a continuation as soon as I can, though with the schedule of my university as well as some health issues that sprung up, it'll still take some time.
If you guys are interested, I have uploaded the WIP to the third part on my Patreon (SO EXPOSED: It can't be unlearned, I know the warmth of your hallways), where you'll be able to comment and offer ideas on how the story would go. It is not obligatory at all, and your support in any shape or form is always appreciated.

Edmund knew every scam, lie, and sham. The roads to his province had been plagued by bandits, a result of some feud between a highborn and the leader of the bandits. It wasnât a secret to anyone in that town that the Viscount had a love for certain opioids, so as much as they despised the bandits kicking their feet up on their tables and swinging their weight around, they could not do anything about it.Â
He was angry, but so was everyone else. It was the usual, wasnât it?Â
Why would his peopleâs happiness matter to a viscount who lived in his guarded manor? Heâd parade around with his wealth, his wife hanging off his arm as they hosted competitions to appease the farmers. Edmund still remembered the indignation he felt as he watched them with their wide smiles and expensive clothes. He could still recall that the viscountâs wife wore gloves, and Edmund couldnât help but scowl. Were they that dirty to them that she couldnât even touch them?Â
Then, the fact that they decided to host a competition for them. The prize? To serve them and earn more money. The viscount couldâve fed all of them, but instead, he made them compete for it.
Edmundâs mother could only shake her head when the news of the winnerâs body being found floating in the river reached their home. Nobody wanted to be the viscountâs winner after that. There were whispers that if it wasnât the bandits trying to spite the viscount, then it was most likely disgruntled competitors. After all, if the person in first place had died, then the runner-up would be the one to get the right to serve the viscount and his family.Â
Edmund hated them. He hated what they pushed him to do. Sheâd been sick from a flu that spread all over the town, and her exhaustion from labouring all day attending to a Ladyâs home took a toll on her body. His poor mother needed medicine, and despite her loyalty to a Lordâs wife, she made next to nothing.Â
So he used that hatred he had. This spite that muffled his howling stomach, and kept him from collapsing into despair, the only thing he had after she inevitably passed. He joined the bandits. Because he couldnât stand there anymore, in that pathetic town, ruled over by that selfish viscount and viscountess.Â
Because as fulfilling as anger was, so long as he couldnât get revenge, he would never be sated.Â
Small riots broke out. People were hungry, with the bandits blocking routes to other provinces and beating them if they pleaded. They began turning their attention to the viscount. Surely, he would appease the banditâs leader. Give him what he was owed. Whatever it may have been. Does he not hear their howling stomachs and their wailing women?
He didnât.Â
He didnât care.Â
So Edmund learned how to use a dagger, then a rusted sword. He learned how to be quiet in the bushes, keeping a keen ear for the whispering of townsfolk who wanted to evade them. He would slam them to the dirt. These people whom heâs known all of his life, and warns them to go back.Â
âYou know who to blame,â Edmund would growl. His young face stern and merciless as he pressed the broad side of his sword to their throats.Â
When the townsfolk turned on the viscount, he decided to run. He left his wife and kids behind, rushing into a wagon filled with grain. Thinking that if he stayed still under the bags, heâd trick them. Edmund wouldâve laughed â but he was too angry. This coward of a man had caused so much pain and suffering, and yet, he wasnât a lumbering figure that rose from fire with fangs or claws.
He was whimpering as Edmund continued to land blows on him. His ribs, then stomach, then the back of his head. Edmund couldnât stop himself. A part of him wanted to rip the man to shreds until nothing but a gorey stain on the dirt remained. It felt good to do it; the idea sent shivers of excitement through him, this twisted feeling of superiority.Â
A knight had tackled him to the ground. The wind got knocked out of him from the weight of him, and Edmund wheezed as dots spotted his vision. He hadnât remembered much from that fight. He knew he had grabbed a fistful of dirt and smashed it to the knightâs face, making him choke on grass and possibly inhale a few pebbles. That, and how exhausted he was by the end of it. Theyâd briefly fought by clashing their swords, but resorted to fists, and Edmund fell on his ass after being backhanded.Â
He groaned, his vision blurred, and his head ached. Any effort he made to keep himself sitting was thwarted as his arms turned to lead. Edmund lay there, one eye swelling shut and blood dripping down his nose and mouth. His teeth stained red as he spat out blood. When he turned his head, he saw the viscountâs shivering body next to him.Â
Anger was all he had left.Â
So Edmund, despite his exhaustion and pain, turned over on his stomach and crawled towards him.Â
He had to kill this man for what heâd done.Â
âFucking hell, kid.âÂ
The knight watched, chest heaving as he leaned against a tree. The sun had long gone down now. The townsfolk were most likely ransacking the viscountâs manor if the plumes of smoke and orange glow burning were any indicator. He weighed his options, then he weighed Edmundâs.Â
The boyâs knuckles were split open and bruised. But he still gripped them around the viscountâs throat and squeezed.Â
The knight decided that killing Edmund wasnât worth it. But neither did saving the viscount.
He grabbed Edmund by his scruff and brought him along to the next province. Edmund despised him in the beginning. Something he told Edmund wasnât as quiet an achievement as he thought it was.Â
âYou hate everyone, kid.â
The longer they travelled together, however, Edmundâs anger became less prominent. It was still there, festering in the back of his mind like a wounded beast, but things became less and less warbled. He didnât try to stab people as a greeting, and he eventually started to talk to the knight.
âSer Darren, thatâs my name.â
He was a smiley man. Taller than most, broad-shouldered, and with his hair a multitude of browns. Edmund remembered how flushed heâd get when he spent too long at a pub, his pale skin turning red while he hiccuped and slurred about pretty maidens. Darren told Edmund that he had trained somewhere up in the mountains.Â
âReal fancy school back then,â Darren grinned. Pride was written all over his face as he reminisced about it. âThe cold would burn sometimes; winters were harsh. But those were the best years of my life.â
âAnd for what?â Edmund didnât know why he was being snappy. That night had wound down just nicely, there were cooking some hares that Edmund had caught, and Darren had bought some bread from a baker. The fire crackled as the meat cooked, and the winds were cool and the crickets were quiet.Â
âTo serve some high-born cunts?â
âTo not starve in the winters,â Darren replied easily. He was used to Edmundâs curt tone. He smiled despite it. âI was born in a family of 10. I was as dumb as bricks, and no woman wouldâve ever married me if she knew better.âÂ
âMy father and I worked in the stables of a Lord, and Iâd watch his son train. Learning to use swords, wooden swords at first. I thought of how fun it looked, and decided to play with it at night. Sneaked in and hacked at the straw target.
His uncle saw. He said I had a promise for a stable boy. More than his nephew ever would.â
Darren then got quiet. Edmund leaned forward, grunting a bit as he asked, âThen what happened?â
âWhen I came back home, my family was dead. That winter had been so harsh that when they fell asleep, they didnât wake up.âÂ
Edmund was stunned. Darren had never alluded to such tragedy; heâd mentioned his siblings in conversations once or twice, but Edmund had thought they were alive and breathing. He thought Darren had come from a family that could afford to pay hunters for meat, and that his father had been a knight himself.
âLord Greymane had taken offence to his brother taking me to the academy instead of his son. My father couldnât provide for my family; heâd tried, but there were too many mouths to feed.â
â...Arenât you angry?â Edmund asked tentatively.Â
âI am. When I think about it for too long, I get angry. I am a human at the end of the day, kid.âÂ
âThen why don armour? Why serve them?â he felt that beast step out of the shadows of his mind, and Edmund grit his teeth as the fat from the hare dripped into the flames. âTheyâd never understand, you know. They think just touching lowborns would infect them.â
âBecause I want to be better than you, Edmund.â
Confusion warped his face. Then, indignation caused the ends of his hair to nearly lift. Edmund stood up, his fists trembling as he shouted for Darren to repeat himself.
âIâd earned my place in that academy. Best of the best. Any highborn spawn that came to shove me down? Iâd show him where he belonged in the field. I got rid of my accent, and I got rid of my traditions, and I buried them with my family.â
Darren looked up at Edmund, and the shadows that danced across his face made Edmundâs breath hitch.Â
âHow far do you think your anger can carry you, kid? All that raw talent and determination wasted by becoming a bandit and killing highborns. You could be better, Edmund. Be better than them.â
Edmund wasnât sure who Darren meant â who they wereâ but he could not sleep that night as he mulled over and over again about his words.Â
Darren dropped Edmund off at the academy weeks later. He gave Edmund a firm squeeze on his shoulder, then ruffled his hair, and got onto his horse. Apparently, heâd paid the academy a hefty weight of coins for his admittance, even vouching for him when they doubted that he could do well.Â
Edmund found himself bruised for weeks by the end of the day. He could fight, but not in the way the teachers wanted him to. Any attempt he made to retaliate, heâd be disqualified. Then there were the written tests, because knights had to know how to read and had to understand how to be courteous. Edmund hated those lessons the most; his writing was chicken scratches on parchment. The teachers would shake their heads at him. A bored look of disappointment washed over their wrinkly faces. They said what they thought without opening their mouths, and Edmund had always found himself staring at the gate of the school. He could run away â they would have no way of finding him, nor would they have cared enough to put in any effort to â but he thought of Ser Darrenâs words that night.
âBe better than them.â
His nose wrinkled, as though tasting something sour, and Edmund turned his gaze away.Â
âFine,â Edmund would grumble under his breath, âyou smiley bastard.â
So, the last thing Edmund expected from becoming a proper knight and being a part of the Royal Guard was to stare down at a princeling. Who wore nothing else but his night shirt that brushed along the top of his thighs with every bit of movement you made.
âSer Edmund?â Your voice was soft, but it still managed to pierce through the cotton that stuffed his ears. He gulped thickly, thinking of Ser Darren and his drunken rambles of men with voices as sweet as honey, and how tempting they could be at times. Edmundâs jaw tightened resolutely.Â
During the days of the trials leading up to the jousting competition, Edmund wondered what sorts of sins happened behind palace walls. If they could trap mighty beasts in stone and have banquets so lavish that all manner of creatures would be served, he imagined debauchery. Higherborn ladies and beautiful prostitutes; the lustiest boys and girls at your disposal, along with the finest wines and meads and all that.Â
Nada. None. Zilch.Â
You instead spent your days riding, and if not, youâd be reading. Walking through the Royal Gardens with Alice and Selene, talking either about politics or about the latest gossip Selene had been there to lend an ear to. The handful of times that you had gone out of palace grounds, youâd gone to the shipyard and talked with the men there.Â
Apparently, your brother had sent over a gift, and you wanted to be the first to look at it. Your childish excitement is causing Edmund to wonder if you could even hold your ground during a fight.Â
You could.
Ser Gwent had summoned you for a lesson in the yard. He watched, amused, as he placed his elbows on the stone walls and peered down at the sight of you. That bright smile and carefree stance as your sheathed sword thudded against your outer thighs.Â
âHas he ever drawn his sword outside of the yard before?â Edmund wondered. The knight beside him â older than him, as most of them were, and balder than a cauldron â laughed heartily. âNow, why would our prince have to? As the youngest, he does not expect marriage, and as the tides are calm, there is no political need. The people adore him, too; youâve seen how smoothly he can descend all the way down to the shipyards. Not one insult!â
Edmund thought it was stupid. With armoured guards by your side with their swords displayed by their hips, even the dumbest commoner wouldâve realised the consequence of rushing up to a prince and hurling insults in his face. But he kept his mouth shut, his attention returning to you just as you block Ser Gwentâs mighty swing.Â
It was impressive how much strength you had. Heâd always seen you dressed in light colours, flowy sleeves, and gold decorating you in some shape or form. Either threaded through the sleeves of your shirts, looking like dragons weaving over the other in a dance. Or dangling from your ears, decorating your fingers, and once heâd seen you with your crown whilst you accompanied your father in his throne room to listen to the peopleâs concerns.Â
You had no gold on you now. Instead, you were in silver. Held it confidently in your hands while you lunged at Ser Gwent. Your pedigree was clear as day to him in that moment. He was entranced by your fluid movements, by your precision, and how you did it all with sly curl dancing on the corner of your lips.Â
âAre you a virgin, Your Highness?âÂ
The prince sputters. The blood rushed to your chest, face and ears.Â
âForgive me for being so blunt,â he whispers. Then he clears his throat and glances up at the ceiling for a moment. Edmund was someone who was trained by a prestigious school of knights. But. He was also a young man, which meant before he took his knightly oaths, he was someone whom the whores knew very well. After all those bruises and self-inflicted cuts, his rendezvous with the village below and being treated as special by them felt like a well-earned reprieve.
He was not naive despite his honour. Or maybe he never had any honour at all. That seemed more likely.
âBut you flaunt around in nothing but a robe before me. Then ask if youâre tempting me. You must know the answer to this.â
You walk past him, reaching for your robe and bringing it over your shoulders. Gone was the prince with a sword and confident smile, or the prince who helped the shipyard boys with carrying shipments, charming men and women alike with your carefree laugh.Â
You shrank into yourself, shoulders drawn as your back faced him.Â
âIâveâŚIâve spoken out of turn ââ
âI am.â
A pin could drop in the moment, and the sound wouldâve rung like a bell tower. Edmund sees the curve of your ears warm from the sunlight thatâs beginning to flood through the large windows across from you. You resembled a myth in that moment. The sun casts your shadow down on him, but brightens your silhouette. There was a halo of light that shimmered above your head, and when you turned to face him, Edmund felt like heâd found religion.Â
âI see,â Edmundâs throat squeezed as he spoke. It does little to weaken it. That authoritative voice, you could so clearly hear it carry commands over the wind and hills. Heâd make a fine general, but that would require a war.Â
What would a prince like you know about war?
Still, he stokes that fascination in you. You wanted to see him on his horse again, his posture proud and his eyes determined. He looked regal and hungry; there was a craving he planted within your stomach. Your mouth had never watered before. It never had any reason to. Everything you wanted was always handed to you on a gold platter encrusted with jewels as thick as a manâs knuckles. Yet Edmund was a feast youâd never had before, a book you wanted to open and trace your fingers through the ink-stained path. You wanted to see him do more than just stand and watch you â you wanted him to show you that beast again.Â
That rippling strength that blew off that high-pitched-voiced knight from his horse with a brutality he held back. Then the sharpness in his eyes as he rides his horse next to you. He thought he hid it well. But you could recognise hunger as easily as breathing; itâs a darkness in their eyes. Sometimes it's envy, other times itâs greed, but Edmundâs hunger was a burning ember, and like fire, you knew all he wanted was to consume everything.Â
His honour held him back. You wished it didnât.
You wanted him to set fire to your skin. You imagine it like watching fire dancing on oil spilt into water, defiant and beautiful. His skin was a russet, reddish-brown, and his eyes were like red ochre. You see the thin lines on his face. The scars from his jousting event didnât heal over, but they still left these stark white lines. You tentatively reach for his face, and his brow furrows instantly. You curl your fingers away, bringing your arm to your chest as you try to calm your racing heart.Â
âThey talk about you as if youâre innocent.â
He lifts his chin slightly, nearly flinching as he takes the sight of you again. Heâd learned of the word ethereal once. He thought it was just like these haughty highborns to make words that were overcomplicated when they really meant to be pretty. He hated that you once again proved your pedigree to him. Â
âSometimes, I wonder if youâre truly a man. Do you not lust? Donât you crave for warm bodies next to you? You have more than enough gold for it. When I say this to your servants, they lookâŚaghast. They tell me youâre pure of soul and heart. But here is that pure prince of theirs. His legs are bare as he admits to me that heâs untouched. Admitting to me that heâs leading me into temptation.â
Edmund lets his words linger in the air. He sees you squirm under this gaze. He takes a step forward, stepping closer and closer to you until your chests are a hairbreadth's distance away.Â
âIs it just in your blood to ruin?â Edmund mutters this as he reaches to hold your face. Your eyes flutter as you squint slightly up at him. He parts his lips, his brows pinched together as he takes in the details of your bewildered expression.Â
âRuin?â You feel his thumb drag down your cheek, using enough pressure to lightly pull at the fat under your eyes and distorting your proportions. It makes Edmund scoff. So you were human then â or just sometimes. In fleeting moments, you become something entirely untouchable, but when heâs towering over you, you become so painfully human. Â
No different from him at all. Just flesh wrapped over bone. Admittedly, beautiful flesh. But flesh nonetheless.Â
â...The sun is up. Your servants will wonder where you are. Your sister will be visiting to celebrate her sonâs first birthday tonight. Shall we go back to your quarters, Your Highness?â
He pulls his hand away from you. Then straightened his posture and posed his hand back on his swordâs hilt.Â
You fight back the urge to protest like a petulant child and nod.
The palace stirred with bustling energy. It has been for days now in preparation for your sister and her familyâs arrival, what with the palace chefs ensuring they had all the ingredients they needed, and the servants bustling about with sheets and wiping down every surface they could find. The cellars were opened to pull out the finest wines they held. Invites had been sent out weeks ago, and now the rooms were being prepared for all sorts of highborns.Â
Yet, much to Alice and Seleneâs concern, you stayed sullenly in your room. They watched you cautiously as they fixed your outfit onto your figure. Usually, youâd be much more excited. You often were when your older siblings came to visit; they had their own responsibilities now, after all, and so whenever they could come, youâd be over the moon. But you had barely spoken a word the whole afternoon. Nothing, not even the latest gossip about the affair the cook was having, was pulling you out of this funk.Â
âAre you feeling well, Your Highness?â Alice enquired as she fixed your hair.Â
âYouâre awfully quiet, Your Highness,â Selene continues.
âIâm alright. Just a mild headache. Iâm sure itâll go away as the festivities continue.â
You give them a reassuring smile, and they coo their concerns at you, fretting over you. Alice turned on her heel, telling you sheâll get the knights to fetch someone from the kitchens to fix you some tea. You shake your head, calling her name and telling her it wasnât necessary.Â
âIâm sure Ser Gwent and Ser Edmund wonât appreciate being disturbed over such menial things. Iâll be alright.â
âYour Highness ââ
You narrow your eyes at her sternly, and Alice bows her head. Sometimes, she forgets that youâre not just someone she cares too. Not just a boy whom she accompanies in the garden because she enjoys your presence. You were the prince of the kingdom, and these rare moments when you remind them of it always feel like a harsh wake-up call to reality.Â
âYes, Your Highness.â
The princess has the same smile as you. Edmund notes the way her lips part in that familiar pattern, the traces of the kingâs facial structure evident in the shape of her brows and nose. She embraces you tightly, cupping the back of your head like you were something precious and pure. Edmund held his personal feelings back, jaw clenching as he remembered the events of this morning in the library.Â
Your guilt-stricken face, the way your lips parted when he held you in his arms, as though waiting for him to do more. Begging for it with your brows scrunched together and your eyes searching for a flicker of weakness within his own.Â
He would not throw away what heâd worked so hard for just to taint you. Edmund wasnât stupid; he could think without the help of his cock.Â
So what if his stare lingered on the shape of your ass whilst you rode your horse â something his crotch guard never appreciated. Or those moments when Alice served you sweets during tea time, watching you suckle the sweetness off your fingers after eating fruit makes his cock weep.Â
Then, during dinner time, the way the prince laughs with a sheen of mead and oil on his lips from the meat heâs eaten makes Edmund breathless. When the prince drunkenly licks the stem/stick of the candied apple to chase the gooey, melted sugar?Â
Edmund wanted nothing more than to fuck his throat until he choked on it.
But alas, he shouldnât. As much as the thoughts fuelled a sick desire in him, he risked too much for a fantasy that should only remain in his mind. Even if you peeked into it, and seemed to plead for him to show you more. He would not spoil you. Edmund was meant to protect you â not fuck you.Â
The royal family was seated at the top of a stone platform, elevated enough to separate them from the rest of the highborns, so they all would need to lift their heads to look. The king sat in a mighty chair, the high back having an amalgamation of creatures carved into the wood that looked almost as uncomfortable as it did magnificent. But if the king was uncomfortable, he did not even allude to it. The banquet was laid out on every table. Perhaps not on a table as long as the winding roads of the town below, but Edmund imagined just one table could feed a starving village just fine.
You were bathed in candlelight, the chandelier hanging above casting the room in a warm glow. You wore a gentle expression on your face, your posture proper as you held your nephew to your chest. His chubby hands reached for your earrings, and you carefully evade his grip as you adjust your hold on him. You looked beautiful. Dressed in your sisterâs colours, a patterned sash of silk draped across your chest and golden earrings twinkling under the light. The baby squealed happily as you leaned down to kiss his nose. In a tender gesture, you nuzzle your nose with his, and he places his hands on your face sweetly. The babe was wrapped in a patterned cloth that had probably been handwoven the moment your sister realised she was pregnant â or perhaps it was a royal heirloom that your family had kept. He imagines it's priceless either way.Â
The feast continues. Performances of aerobatic dancers and fire eaters delight everyone in the room except the sleeping baby, whoâd been whisked away by his motherâs loyal servants and his wet nurse. You and your sister danced together, your father watching on as he conversed politely with a viscount that Edmund vaguely recognises.Â
Your legs moved gracefully as the stringed instrument of the musicians echoed through the hall. Your shoulders moved in tandem with your spry sister, moving as freely as a fish through water. It was the first time heâd seen you smile wide enough to see hints of your gums; unrestrained and elegant all the same.
You looked painfully human and unreachable all the same.Â
The dance finishes with a flourishing bow that causes you to spill into bright laughter. You embrace your sister again, and again she cups the back of your head as she holds you.
Then Edmund notices him. The shape thatâs been moving among the glitz and glimmer of the crowd, his hair the colour of moonlight and his eyes like sapphire. For a second, Edmund thought he was seeing a ghost. But the man breaches through the crowd, and his mouth forms the syllables of your name. So, you turn to face him.Â
This man had pale hair, his beard that framed his jaw, and even his eyelashes continued the colour. It made him look fairy tale-like, an elven prince with his pale blue eyes and unblemished, deep bronze skin.Â
âLord Elowen,â you greet politely. He bows, taking your hand into his own and pressing his lips to your skin. Edmundâs cheek twitches as Lord Elowen keeps his eyes on yours the entire time.Â
âYouâre as handsome as the stories say, Your Highness.â
Your eyes widen a bit, enough for Edmund to notice from across the room, and you duck your head in thanks. But Lord Elowen does not release your hand from his own. He holds it between his, speaking to you in a hushed tone that makes your face warp into delighted confusion.Â
Edmund stalks forward from his post.Â
The people part for him, uncaring of his lack of a lineage, as he wore the royal guard armour. That, or the fact that he had a sword on his hip. It made his job easy either way. When you spot his silver cape, you give him a look of minute panic.Â
Lord Elowen leans down to your ear, and Edmund watches as your lips part as his jaw moves.Â
Whatever heâs speaking to you, whispering to you, it makes you turn to look at him with that expression again. Those pleading eyes, your parted lips, your gaze flickering through his like youâre hoping he finds a reason or an excuse to keep his touch on you.Â
âMy Prince,â Edmund says stiffly. He makes a show of standing a bit too close to your side, glowering at the strange lord as you finally slip your hands away from him. Lord Elowen smiles, smoothly recovering as he regards Edmund with a once-over. Edmundâs heart jumps to his throat as recognition goes through him. Lord Elowen looked older with that full beard, but his sapphire eyes were unmistakable, especially this close.Â
âSuch a sweet princeling,â Lord Elowen purrs despite Edmundâs intimidating presence. âHow lucky for him to have such a noble knight protecting him.â
Edmund knows what Lord Elowen means. Heâs bumped into him in the hallways of brothels when they were younger. Victor Elowen would know how truly noble Edmund really was.Â
âLord Elowen was courting you.â He speaks so suddenly, you nearly jump. The festivities were still ongoing, but you had been swaying on your feet from the wine. So Edmund advised you to go to your quarters, accompanying you through the quiet halls of your wing. Keeping you hidden behind his frame as Lord Elowen watched on.
âHe was vulgar. He was not courting me,â you refute.
âHe was. He was courting you to bed, as men do.â The puzzling expression on your face emboldens Edmund.Â
He grabs your face again. Still gentle, but thereâs a firmness to him now. His figure is imposing as he walks forward. You nearly stumble on your feet as you walk backwards, trying to put a bit of distance, something, anything, to find air again. Your back meets the stonewalls, the grooves and divots providing ample texture for your fingers to dig into as Edmund stares at you.Â
Despite how hard you try to hide or turn your face away from him, Edmund presses and presses until heâs nearly on top of you.Â
âYou do know what men do in bed, donât you? All those books you read, all the stories Selene tells you about.â
âIâm not an idiot, I know how sex works,â you retort indignantly.Â
Oh, youâre too sweet, little prince. Those pinched brows and pouty lips are begging for something you donât even understand.Â
Edmund smirks. Itâs sharp, and cocky, and handsome, and your tongue sweeps over your lower lip unconsciously. He drags his thumb to your chin and tilts your head, his eyelids going heavy as yours. You close your eyes, fully trusting him.Â
Him. Edmund. The troublesome knight who maims highborns and leaves women heartbroken. The knight who cut into his own skin to keep himself awake as he read books from libraries just so he could keep up with his haughty, richer peers in the academy he hailed from.Â
You two could not be more different.Â
Donât you feel the callouses on his hands? These arenât the ones that should hold you. But he would be lying to himself if the thought didnât turn him on.Â
What would it feel like to fuck a prince?Â
The prince?
His lips meet yours, and your breath stutters. Edmund applies pressure at first, lips pouting with yours, then he tilts your head again. This time, he moves his jaw, and you follow along. He steals your breath away with a muffled chuckle.
You wrap your arms around his shoulders. Shivering at the cool surface of his glimmering silver armour. He uses one hand to hold your waist, and you pull away for a second â he chases after you. You canât breathe. He wonât let you.
His tongue slips between your lips, and you donât even fight it. You let him taste you. The rich wine flavour on your tongue, the taste of luxury, and heaven. You make these soft noises. These little gasps. As though every squeeze his hand gives you pleases you.
He pulls away just to place his forehead over yours. He feels your lashes flutter against his own, the tip of your nose pressed to his cheek as you purse your lips. Like you still craved for the pressure of his lips on yours, like you wanted to commit it to memory. Edmund moves your head again and tilts your chin up.
You looked so fucked out just from tasting his tongue. Neither of you should be here. Itâd cause a scandal if anyone saw you groping each other in the darkness. Especially someone like Selene. So Edmund reluctantly took a step back, giving you the air you so desperately needed mere minutes ago.Â
You didnât want it anymore. You didnât need it like you needed him.Â
Your white curtains sway as you enter. The heavy door makes a thud; thereâs a finality in the noise, and Edmund finds himself uncaring of it. He slips a hand under your silk sash and twists it in his grip. You gasp as he pulls you forward, your hands bracing themselves on his breastplate. Edmund kisses you again, hungrier than ever as he shamelessly tugs and pulls at your clothes.Â
Your knightâs strength easily opens your top, the buttons clattering onto the floor as his eyes roam over your bare neck. His open mouth places itself on the column of your neck, and you shiver, trying to find purchase of him. All you feel is his armour, the raised insignia of your familyâs symbol over his chest pressing into you. You felt a flicker of fear as his teeth brushed over your skin, but your lips lifted into a smile despite it.Â
This heat, this passion. Itâs something so frighteningly new, yet you refused to let it go. No matter how much it burned. You just wanted to be consumed.Â
Edmund brings your hand to his mouth, and you squeak when his tongue traces over your knuckles. You try to tug your hand away from him, but he tightens his grip on your wrist and brings your palm to his nose. He presses kisses there, his eyes dark as he intently drags his lips to your wrist.Â
He swears he could still see Victor. Could see his horrifying blue eyes as he openly undressed you.Â
Edmund pulls you into him again, swallowing your gasps.Â
âS-Ser Edmund,â You whimper softly. He groans as he lays you across one of the many seats in your bedroom. Your bedroom hearth flickered, a log crumbled and sent a flurry of sparks into the air. His hands quickly pull his armour off. It was with practised ease, something heâd done a thousand times now. His honour falls to the ground with dull, empty thuds.Â
Your hands roam over his shoulders, shy in their conquest, and Edmund gives you an amused grin. He guides your hands down. To his chest, letting you feel his thin undershirt, and then to his stomach, where you can feel the definition of his muscles.Â
âThis is a warriorâs body,â he tells you as he places a hand next to your head. You slip your hands under his shirt, and he lets you feel it. Every scar on his body from his sparring sessions, or when the highborns had decided to pin him to the ground at night and kick him over and over, humiliated by his standing victorious over them. That was a beating he took with a smile on his face.Â
He was proud of those scars. He feels your touch lingering over the raised skin, but your smile doesnât spread with pride. He sees the flicker of anger, and when he calls your name, he pauses at how the fire from the hearth reflects in your eyes. Itâs gone in a blink, but he feels lust burning within him now. Where did you hide that fierceness within you?
He pulls his shirt off and reaches to do the same for you.Â
âIs my body any different from yours?â You ask him.Â
It was. You had unblemished skin. Perfect and pure, soft to the touch. He traces his fingers over your chest, feeling the pebbling of your nipples and finally tracing the scars hugging the underside of your chest. He wouldnât consider that a blemish. It complemented you, almost like a beauty mark rather than a scar.Â
âOf course it is, youâre a prince.âÂ
His words cause you to squeeze the base of his throat. He narrows his eyes at you, his hands pausing over your chest.
âAm IâŚyour prince?â
Edmund canât fight the smile that crawls onto his face.Â
âOf course, Your Highness.â
Edmund traces his touch to your jaw, and heâs back to kissing you. You feel his strong arms, your path unsure but curious as you feel the contours of his body. The cropped hair that tickles your palms as you feel his nape, and the curve of his spine as he moves his hips. You gasp, and he watches you closely.
âThereâs my cock, pressing into yours.â
He smiles loosely as your legs widen. Edmund slots himself right where you guide him to, and he lets you feel his hardening bulge as he puts what heâs learned from brothels to good use. Even over clothes, you canât help but moan softly at the pressure he applies there. Knowing what heâs grinding against you, hearing him groan softly as he hovers above you â it makes your head dizzy with desire. Â
âAre you getting hard, too, my prince?â You pant for a moment. Then, you reach down to the ribbons that laced you into your pants. You pluck at the knots that come loose for you and untie yourself from the constraints. You reach for his hand, then bashfully guide it to slip underneath the clothes.Â
He feels your warmth. He releases a shuddering breath when he goes further down, and is met with slick. Your slick. He groans as his fingers trace your sex, the heel of his palm brushing over your twitching cock. You cover your mouth, and your cock pulses again.Â
âDoes it feel good when I rub you here?âÂ
He does it again. A slow grind to your dick. A firm pressure, a warm hand, the rough callouses that cause shivers down your spine.Â
âYuh-yes, yes, it feels good.â
Edmundâs fingers slip between your folds and tap at your winking cunt. Your eyes widen, and you try to twitch away from him, but Edmund presses on.Â
âAh!â
âYour Highness,â his voice goes lower than before. The timbre borders on a growl as he slips past his first joint. âYouâre tainted now.â
âHow filthy of you, to allow a lowly knight to touch you here. To know what your royal cunt feels like.â
âEdmund ââ
âWhat would your future husband think?â
You squeeze your thighs together as he sheathes his finger inside of you. He angles his palm to rub at your cock as he curls his digit inside. You moan weakly, grasping at the throw pillows on your seat as he braces himself on one elbow above you. Heâs hypnotised at the sight of it; of a prince virgin whoâd never experienced this before. How the pulse on your neck jumps as you toss your head to the side, how wet your lips were as you moan airily.Â
Your usually neat hair is now getting tousled as you shudder beneath him. Your hips are jerking as your chest picks up its pace.Â
âOh, you tightened around my finger. Are you hungry for more, my prince?â
Heâs not rough as he slips another in. He doubts he could be. You were so wet, your cunt barely gave any resistance. You gasp again, choking on a moan as two of his fingers begin to thrust in and out of you. Your eyes are getting glossy, and he presses kisses to your cheek as he strokes your jaw sweetly.Â
âDo you feel it?â
âI â I feel like Iâm going to die,â you admit in a whine. âMy heart's ra â mngh! â racing, Edmund.â
He smiles. You can feel his teeth on your blushing cheeks. Your brain is getting hazy. The taste of him on your tongue, the wine, the heat from the hearth, the cool breeze from your windows; youâre feeling everything and nothing all at once.Â
Your back arches, and your mouth hangs open as his fingers brush against a spot within you that causes you to clench around him like a vice.Â
âRight there?â
âN-no! Itâs â ah! â Too much!â
He shushes you, kissing your lips in cute pecks as he speeds up his pace. Your muffled noises of pleasure make his cock ache to be inside of you. He reaches for your clenched hands and threads his fingers through yours, pinning them next to your head as he watches your orgasm wash over you. Your eyes squeeze shut, and when it washes through you, he moans along with you.Â
You go limp underneath him. He licks his lips as he notices the sheen of sweat on your neck. He knows he canât leave marks on your neck â your servants would notice and they would most certainly tell the others â but he leaves kisses there anyway. He lets you feel how good it could be, and faintly wonders if he could have you begging for him to leave marks. The thought makes his eyes darken.Â
He pulls your pants down. You watch in a daze, mouth going dry as he places your thighs over his shoulder.
âSer Edmund?â
How dirty. Calling him with his title with your cunt mere centimetres away from his face.Â
âHm?â He licks a wide stripe over your cunt, and whatever you were going to say breaks into a series of shaky moans. He wraps his lips around your dick, ignoring the way you squeeze his head as he grinds against the soft seating beneath him.Â
âTâthatâs filthy â please, you mustnât ââ
âYou taste delicious,â he murmurs against your thighs. He bites hard enough to have it twitching, then laughs when you pout at him. âYour boycunt is the finest thing Iâve tasted.â
âYouâre vulgar,â Edmundâs eyes shine in mirth. Then he descends, and you toss your head back, your ass pressing into the soft seat just as your heels dig into his back. He groans against you, the vibration making you mewl as he sucks your dick. His slick fingers find themselves inside of you again, accompanying his tongue in consuming you.
You squirm, panting out that his tongue feels odd inside of you. He makes no retort, just slips his eyes closed and savours you like your body was a feast made for him. You feel that coil of heat build in you again, and reach for his hand. Edmund felt his heart skip a beat as you shakily thread your fingers together. He rests your hands on your hip, whispering your name as he feels his own orgasm draw close.Â
He ruts into the seat, and when he feels you clench around him, he lets out a growl of pleasure when he comes undone in his pants.Â
You whine at the hot breaths he pants against your twitching cock, flustered at the sight of his wet lips and wetter chin. He sweeps his tongue over his lips, his pupils expanding at the taste, and you swear your head is going to explode from the blood rushing to your face.Â

Free from most responsibilities that your siblings shouldered, the topic of your love life became more of a wistful daydream. Not that it matters, after all, you had Ser Edmund by your side, and he taught you of your husbandly duties more than any High Lord could.

Being bound by honour and duty was not as heroic as most made it out to be. The burden was heavy, and if one were not groomed to carry that hefty responsibility, one'd find your knees buckling in an instant. Crumbling like a dry leaf being stepped on, or shattering like dusty porcelain teacups. As a man who has taken his oaths, Edmund realises he is unlike those who were born and raised for things like lineages and duty.Â
He instead took it upon himself. Those years in the academy, earning these callouses on his palms and bulk on his arms and thighs.Â
It filled him with a sense of superiority. Heâd earned his place here among the higher born â heâd proven himself worthy. He was different from the filth he came from. He must be. If not, then why would all these scars along his thighs exist? Heâd painstakingly ripped into them with every failure, using them as motivation and passing them off as scars from sparring. This arena he was in was tangible proof of his pride. The mud that speckled across his boots would be a bygone era once he managed to complete this final task.Â
Becoming a princeâs royal guard. The prince. Beloved by all, his eyes were said to be able to bewitch anyone; his voice a soothing melody that could calm the wildest beast. That prince. Edmund swallowed his anxieties as he peeked at the tall towers of the castle. It was a daunting piece of architecture, painstakingly built with intricate details most could only dream of seeing. Heâs heard that there were sculptures in there that were so lifelike, they hadnât been carved at all. Instead, they ensconced these mighty beasts in a hardening solution, which is why they were always mid-snarl or poised in a pose of attack.Â
Heâd once heard tales of the banquet table being so long it could stretch down the length of a cityâs walkway. Goblets filled to the brim, sloshing with rich and heady wine, while all sorts of meats were served alongside it. Venison, boar, aurochs, fat rabbits, fatter chickens. Edmundâs stomach roared, and he shook his head, hardening his expression as he focused on tightening the leather straps of his armour.Â
The others around him seemed vaguely familiar. Perhaps they were from other academies; they didnât look much older than him. The ones that did kept to themselves in another corner, scoffing derisively at them with the minute shake of their heads. These kids, he imagines them thinking, they donât have what it takes to protect a royal.Â
Edmund stood, rolling his shoulders testily while he held his helmet under his arm. Ensuring he could actually move around as freely as possible. He didnât have the luxury of having a squire, not yet. One squire, a boy with olive-toned skin and shimmery black eyes, rushes through the flaps of their quarters carrying polished armour in his arms that made so much noise with every hurried step that the boy was cringing into his own neck. Edmund hears the murmurs of the servants who walk past, ladies dressed plainly but obviously cared for.Â
âItâs a shame the prince isnât a fan of women; heâs such a looker,â she spoke like the village girls Edmund had met on his nightly endeavours of sneaking into the pub. Bright-eyed, nearly squealing, as they discussed how handsome the knights from the academy up the mountains were. Edmund found them as amusing as one would find an overly affectionate pub cat. Purring against your legs and flopping over to show off their furry bellies, pawing into the air with their tails curling and sweeping across the floor.
âHe likes men?â Edmund tilted his head at the information, brows raising slightly. He supposed it was a good thing the royal family werenât discriminating.Â
An announcer shouts, informing the participants and the honoured guests that the event will begin soon. Edmund ducks under the flaps and squints at the sunrays that reflected off another knightâs armour.Â
âFucking hell.â
You werenât in the best of moods this morning. That much was evident in your slouched figure and deep frown drawn on your face. âItâs an era of peace,â your tone remained gentle despite your reluctance to upheave yourself from your plush bed. âItâs entirely unnecessary for such an event. What fun would I have watching Serâs attempt to impale each other with an elongated club whilst theyâre sat on horses.âÂ
Your servants stifle their chuckles. Barely. But their muffled noises of joy cause a grin to tug on the corner of your lips. They coax you from your bed, ushering you to the bronze soaking tub that sat across from the large arches of your room that overlooked the city below. The wind tried to mend your mood, causing the sheer white curtains to float gracefully and the steam dancing over the surface of the water to swirl as if delighted to greet you.Â
âIâm sure it must bring you some joy, Your Highness,â Alice folded your night shirt over her arm, averting her gaze as you stepped into the tub. The water sloshes but doesnât spill over the rim. Further proof of how devoted your servants already were. You trusted them with your life, why would you need a stranger to stand out in front of your door every night so callously? You were comfortable enough with the Kingsguard.Â
âSeeing knights fight for you,â Selene chimes in. âIâd be fanning myself just thinking about it.â
âYou two are naughty,â they laugh along with you.Â
âTruthfully, I feel as though Ser Gwent is just fine ââ
âSer Gwent fell off his horse last week, Your Highness.â Alice plucked your hand out and placed it on the rim, gently wiping you down.Â
âWell, yes, but heâs walking just fine. He still holds his sword with a proud stature,â you said like a child convincing their older siblings that their tattered childhood toy was completely fine.Â
âSer Gwent thought that he saw a boar during the hunting party,â Selene leaned in with her brows sloped in concern, âIt was a fat hound dog.âÂ
âAlright! Point made!âÂ
It was exhausting to constantly smile. Lifting your cheeks just enough to show a sliver of teeth, but making sure your gums werenât showing, and ensuring you didnât look insane or dead-eyed. Being a prince had a tremendous amount of perks, especially as the youngest. But that didnât mean you could completely escape royal duties or procedures. Like this horrendously tight outfit you were wearing â as beautiful as the fabric was and how gorgeous the detailing was, youâd much prefer to wear something looser. The garden was singing siren songs to you, and you had to restrain yourself from running into her arms with a good book so you could enjoy the breeze and sun.Â
Instead, here you were. Seated in the stands, your posture is as perfect as your closed-lip smile that you generously send to the familiar faces of high lords, dukes, duchesses and their respective children. The scent of horse shit and iron made your nose crinkle. Your father clears his throat, so you fix your expression with a scrunch of your nose instead.
âItâs abhorrent how you cast Ser Gwent aside so quickly,â You whisper to him.
âHeâs been guarding our family for years,â he replied calmly.
âExactly,â you give him a pointed expression. âWhere is our loyalty?â
âSon. I was a boy when he became a part of the Royal Guard. At this point, heâs been begging to be speared by a sword.â
âFather!â You scold him, disbelieving of his smug expression. âHe taught me and my brothers how to hold a sword.â
âYes, just as he did to me,â he said in a guiding tone that came off as condescending just as it had been humorous.
The jousting began. The knights in their gloriously shining armour parade and trot in front of your stand. Tipping their heads, eyes shining in hope, and you do that practised smile again. Alice had told you theyâd hope to curry favour from you, maybe a flower, or perhaps a wreath of flowers. Ser Gwent had never asked for flowers from you; he preferred the desserts youâd sneak up for him instead after dinner. Heâd always been fond of the chewy bread doused with syrup.Â
The knights came and went. Horses neighed, nickered, and bucked. Wood splintered, armour dented, blood splattering and mixing with the mud. It was all so very boring for you. Your siblings had their own jousting events; youâd been to them countless times before. You never quite got the appeal. The knights were skilled, youâd give them that, but they were entirely too haughty. With their toddling squires that theyâd kick away and their rowdy horses whose coats were almost as pristine as your mane. You felt your shoulders aching, so you subtly stretched your back to ease the tension. The squirming catches your fatherâs eyes. He places his bearded chin in his palm and mutters to you;Â
âNone of them are interesting to you?â
âTheyâre well trained, Father,â he cocks a brow.Â
âGods, I thought a few of them were decent. The one with the silver mare, heâs got impressive strength, doesnât he?â
âHm, he also thwacked his squireâs head with his helmet when the boy didnât get to his side in time.âYour fatherâs face twisted in displeasure.Â
Then, a horse rides up to your stand. A few of the ladies nearby gasp, bringing their hands to their lips as they fanned themselves, and you level your gaze down to the knight before you.Â
He had his helmet held by his side, revealing his dark curls and honeyed skin. This knight smiled â no, smirked â at you as if he was sizing you up. Your face warped into confusion as his head tipped up at you, revealing more details of his visage. Freckles dusted across the high points of his face, his downturned lashes brushing against his skin with every blink, and his lips full with the corners curled into a feline grin.Â
âMy Prince!â his voice diminished your intrigue. It was pitched, as though he was struggling to keep his voice from wavering, to call out for you. The accent that paired with your name tells you that heâs from the eastern villages. Flowery and smooth, but ear-grating, paired with such a weak voice. He flourishes into a bow, and you incline your head. Your father chortles into his fist, and the ladies all go back to whispering, this time about his humiliation instead of adoration. The knight falters, but he guides his horse back to its place.Â
âMy Prince.â
This voice held itself with authority. A steady tone that could easily command a room full of people, it makes you curious about who it belonged to.Â
He had no helmet. Not under his arm, nor between his legs. His armour was not polished, the animal-hide straps having veins of white from years of use, but the knight who wore it was a curious one. He had dark skin, his hair was cropped like a soldier's, and his eyes were such a deep shade of brown that under the light they almost appeared a deep burgundy. He had high cheekbones, making his cheeks appear hollow, and his eyes were slanted with monolids that made him appear intimidating.Â
He bows his head, no flourish, no extravagance.Â
âI humbly ask for your favour; it would be a great honour to win with your blessing.â He had a rough accent, not unrefined, but clipped at certain points. This knight was from the South, and he had the most beautiful eyes youâd ever seen. You imagine your fatherâs brows reaching his crown as you stand up.Â
âYouâre so certain that with my blessing, you will win, SerâŚâ
âEdmund, Your Highness.â
You place your hands on the bannister, and Edmund feels his heart jump to his throat. You were a thing of beauty, just as the rumours had said. Your facial harmony was unlike anything heâd seen before â village girls, whores, haughty high-borns who wanted to feel dirty lying with a lowly knight like him â simply couldnât compare to you. Were all royals like this? With eyes that held his attention, making him detest every blink simply because he wanted to see more details.Â
Your lips part, and you say his name.
âSer Edmund.â His horse shifts underneath him, sensing him tensing most likely.Â
âIf I give you my favour, will you win this tourney for me?â
âYes, Your Highness.â
You scan his face, and heâs suddenly conscious of how he holds himself. He tries not to squirm.Â
âDonât disappoint me.â A servant motions for him to lift his lance, and he does. You give him a wreath of flowers.Â
âSer Edmund.â
âOf course, Your Highness.â
Alice and Selene exchange glances. You didnât have to look to know that; you could hear their giddy whispers and feel a flare of heat rush to your face. You pressed the back of your hand there, just as Edmund turned his horse to get back into place.Â
âGoing for the runt of the litter, I see.â
âFather,â you chastised. âYou said these knights had gone through several trials, some were even recommended. Heâs no runt.â
âHeâs a nobody,â Selene smoothly added from your right side. Neither you nor your father blinks, listening to her as she speaks. âHe comes from an academy up in the mountains, best of the best over there. He was the last to arrive at the trials, but he managed to impress a few of the facilitators. Ser Gwent said his swordsmanship was exceptional."
âItâs concerning how much you know,â your father murmurs. Selene bows her head humbly.Â
The knights get into position. Edmund wore no helmet, but the wreath of flowers at the end of his lance drew more attention than his bare face. You hadnât been indifferent to the previous knights, but you hadnât given them any flowers either. The knight from the East narrows his eyes, his horse clawing at the mud as he glares at Edmund.Â
He was a prick. Ever since he set foot into the makeshift camp, heâd been a judgmental little bitch. Edmund didnât speak a lot, but his facial expressions were irritating enough. It didnât need to be said; it was obvious that he thought he was infinitely better than everyone. A flag swings down between them, and both men charge at each other.Â
Tourneys were fast. It was the rush of excitement that made it a thrill to watch. But watching Edmund on his horse made your heart race for an entirely different reason â his face of concentration made you think about those romance novels in the palace library, or those moments when your servants would coo about how dashing men looked whilst working.Â
He skillfully avoided his opponentâs lance, as though expecting him to be aiming for his chest with an almost murderous intent, whilst his lance hit him right on his shoulder. It causes his armour to concave, and his lance to shatter, but the force of Edmundâs strength causes him to fly off his horse and face-first into the mud. Edmund reigned his horse back, victoriously holding his lance and releasing a long breath.Â
Cheers erupted around them. Some yelled in disbelief while the drunker lords yelped in laughter as the fallen knight slipped on the mud, yelling at the servants attempting to help him up.
In the chaos, Edmund makes his way to you on his horse. He allows his eyes to fill with mirth, and when you look down at him again, he gives you a closed-lip smile. There were scratches on his face, most likely the splintered wood from the broken lance, and your brows sloped in minute concern.Â
âWell done, Ser Edmund.â
Edmundâs horse tossed its head back as he tensed once again.Â
The tourney had sealed his fate. His ticket to a better life was now as tangible and real as the weight of his new armour on him. Ser Gwent had given him slaps on his back, welcoming him into the royal guards like a proud father, and Edmund resigned to his fate of being treated like a boy. His hair was ruffled, and his older comrades all poured more mead into his cup as they celebrated him into their ranks. They teased him about his time in the academy, wondering if he wandered down to the local pubs and laughing when he smiled.Â
It felt amusing that these hardened knights were no different from the boys at his school.Â
Now, with his new gear and fancy shoulder cape, Edmund stood by your bedroom door with Ser Gwent.Â
And they stood.
And they stood.
And they stood.
Edmund shifts in his spot just as Ser Gwent begins to snore. He couldnât believe the sight before him. The man had his eyes fully closed, and he was still standing there. Edmund blinks, takes a step forward, then waves his hand in front of Ser Gwentâs face. His bushy moustache trembles as he inhales, but he doesnât stir. The door behind him opens, and you laugh as Edmund flinches.Â
âYour Highness ââ he sputters, bowing quickly and causing his head to pulse in pain. Reprimanding him for last night's endeavours.Â
âYour servants arenât here yet. Shall I fetch them for you?âÂ
âNo, no. I was just curious how you'd react to Ser Gwent. He tried to make a good impression for you; he stayed awake far longer than he usually does.âÂ
âHeâŚhe does this often?â Edmund gets a snore in response. You smile, leaning against the wooden doors casually as you nod your head.Â
âHeâs old. But heâs too stubborn to admit it.â You step out from your room, dressed in nothing but a luxurious robe, and Edmundâs eyes widen. âCome with me, Ser Edmund.â
âYour Highness, shouldnât you get dressed?â You snort at the question. âEveryoneâs hungover or still drunk from last night, and Iâm not that indecent.âÂ
You turn, and he nearly trips from the unexpected stop. You tilt your head up at him, your bare feet taking a step back as you open your arms. Your robe brushed along the floors with every step you took, and the slit between that revealed bare skin. His eyes climbed up your calves, to your knees, and when they reached the white sleeping shirt youâre dressed in, he glanced away.Â
âAm I?âÂ
âYour HighnessâŚâ
Edmund learns quickly that you were sheltered. Not in a comical way, where you didnât even know what the birds and the bees were. But rather, you were kept away from it all. Something about purity and modesty, royal expectations and the like. As if Edmund hadnât seen young lords in the rooms of brothels before. Even if they had merely been Little Lords â as Ser Gwent calls them â it made no sense to him how your virtue in bed correlated to your being.Â
This all culminates in your naivete about how desirable you were. Everyone else in the castle had seen you grow up; they doted on you like a nanny or an older sibling. So you pranced around in your robes early in the mornings, sneaking past the snoring knight by your door and making your way to the library. Edmund tried not to let his eyes linger too long on your bare skin â those delectable legs, that untainted neck, the way your collarbones tempted him to look â and for the most part, it was easy. You made conversation with him, rambling about this or that with a chipperness heâd never seen someone have so early in the day.Â
What could a prince bemoan about in his world? Edmund would be happy too if he were you.Â
But then, in the library or in the garden, when you settled down with your book, it was pure torture. You lean on the chairs, then prop the book up on your legs. The robes wouldnât hide much then; they slid down your thighs like silk, and Edmund swore you were doing this on purpose. Your night shirt would ride up, the plush of your ass peeking out under the already sheer material.Â
Edmund would keep his back to you. Listen to your breathing, the pages turning, the huffs of amusement youâd make as you immersed yourself in the books. Sometimes youâd talk to him, explain how stupid some of the characters were, or how boring the book was. Edmund would reply in turn, but never turn his head.Â
âHave you always been sullen?â
âSullen?â
You close the book, and he hears your clothes rustling as you move.Â
âYou keep your gaze away from me, and youâre so quiet most of the time,â you sniff in what Edmund assumes is an indignant act. Then, he hears you stand up, and he turns to ensure you remain in the library. He regrets it almost instantly. Youâd left your robe over the back of the chair, and Edmund felt like a starved lion, and you were a piece of steak dripping with blood dangled in front of him. He chastised himself by shaking his head, resolutely keeping his head forward.Â
âI thought youâd provide more conversation compared to Ser Gwent.â
â...Ser Gwent follows you to the library?â
He hears you place the book back onto the shelf. It mustâve been boring, or perhaps you werenât in the mood. You make a humming noise, your footsteps keeping him informed of how far away you are.Â
âWhenever heâd wake up, heâd accompany me.â
âAnd youâŚWould you be in your robe?â
You pop out behind him, silent as a mouse, and Edmund turns his head away again.Â
âDoes my robe offend you that much?â Your voice lifts at the end as you chuckle. Edmund gulps thickly, the grip on the hilt of his sword tightening as you stand firmly before him. You notice his white knuckled grip and take a step forward to cup your hand over his own.
âYour Highness,â he strains out, gently pulling your hand away from his. âYou must know what youâre doing.â
You blink owlishly up at him.Â
âWhatâŚwhat am I doing?â
Killing him is what youâre doing. He places his hands on your shoulders, squeezes, and takes a deep breath.Â
âYouâll catch a cold walking around barefoot in your night shirt and robe, Your Highness.âÂ
Youâre stiff underneath him. He can feel it. He can see it. He can see almost everything, and he shouldnât be seeing it. But a part of him is filled with a wicked desire to look and commit the details of a royalâs body to his memory. It befuddles him â nothing about you was godly or supernatural. You had a torso like his, arms, legs, fingers. The whole set. You were both human.Â
But Edmund knew that social status separated you so much that you might have been from two different worlds. Two different species, even.Â
So, he looks. He sees your nipples under your shirt, how your chest rises and falls with each breath. Your waist, stomach, and hips, and when he notices the trail of pubic hair, he inhales sharply and lets you go as though touching you burned him.Â
âWe should head back to your quarters, your servants will be there soon ââ
âAm IâŚâÂ
Your voice causes everything to go quiet around you. For a long moment, Edmund swears he couldnât breathe as he waited for you to speak.Â
I just woke up but the thought of DILF!Leon Kennedy with a controversially (but of course still morally okay...ish) young boyfriend who people whisper and gasp about every time they appear to a function together just tickles my brain.
Leonâs young boyfriend picking him up from some lame ass meeting with Leonâs Porsche and even before anyone sees it they HEAR it because his boyfriend is blasting music so loud itâs practically turned into a moving night club.
Leon should be embarrassed but he canât help the smirk that appears on his face when the tinted windows roll down and his boyfriend calls out for him like some frat boy. Wearing some designer pair of sunglasses and leaning out of the window to call out Leonâs name.
A part of me feels like Leon would pretend to be embarrassed but another part of me likes to think he just does a shitty one-liner and promptly walks over to his car and his boyfriend and gives him a sweet greeting in the form of a cute peck before he slides into the passenger seat.
Hi, I suck at naming characters so IF I was writing a Twin Gojo fanfic involving FratJo and NerdJo with ftm!reader realistically they canât BOTH be Gojo Satoru.
i read the connor x ftm reader story and like. AMAZING. idk anything ab detroit become human but THIS STORY LIKE INTRIGUED ME AND IM SO GLAD I READ IT!! idk if youre thinking ab a pt 2 but if you do connor should definitely have genitalia!! maybe like they just solved the case and celebratory sex :3
Iâm so glad you enjoyed it!!! DBH is such an interesting story tbh, I wish I could do it more justice even if just writing silly little fics.
Iâll definitely write a short continuation of it once Iâm over my writer's block (save me) but I feel like Connor actually getting the genitalia add-on would be so giggle-worthy, lol.
â
The idea of him going to some sort of android cosmetics shop and asking for an add-on for genitals then pausing when asked what model heâd go for. Him pondering what his human partner actually would find more comfortable, working out the logistics in his mind while the cashier is watching him with a slighty amused expression.
âIs your partner human, Connor?â
âAh, yes, yes he is.â
âYou want to surprise them then?â
Connor feels a flush of embarrassment, but nods.
âHave you both had sex?â
Another nod, but the rosy-purple flush is still ever so prominent on Connorâs cheeks. He doesnât know why he feels this way, he wasnât ashamed of wanting to pleasure his âaccording to Hankâ friends with benefits but this felt oddly...vulnerable.
âYes, we have. Though our relationship isnât very romantic in nature.â
âAh,â the worker says. His eyebrows shot up knowingly.
âSo, this will actually be a surprise for them but youâre worried about their preferences?â
Connor nods. Glad that he didnât have to say it outloud, though he wonders just how obvious it is to have been written all over his face.
â
Just the idea of composed Connor being humbled at a sex store despite knowing everything there is to know about sex because knowing isnât the same as experiencing and also him navigating the budding relationship. Connor being a service switch (foreshadowing) is so precious to me.

Silence was a welcome blanket for both of you. With the line of work you both lead, these moments of reprieve and low stimulation were the closest thing to peace youâd know. Despite â or because of â the advancements in technology, crime evolved with the times. Regardless of the constant surveillance and androids that were able to access police databases with a blink, humans remained their ever so primitive selves in moments of distress.Â
It would have been endearing if it didnât involve so much paperwork and blood.Â
You pressed your head to the window, watching lazily as the raindrops raced each other to the imaginary finish line. They dashed downwards, melding into a heavier raindrop while the one you cheered on meekly rolled itself down. Your disappointment was dulled by the radio playing a song from decades ago; something Hank surely wouldâve rambled on about if he were present. You hoped he was enjoying his time away from the precinct and Detroit in general. He had earned it.Â
âAre you feeling better now, detective?â he asked softly, his voice gentle as he leaned forward in the passenger seat. Akin to an inquisitive puppy with the way he was gauging your expression.
It left you with the task of âbabysittingâ his partnerâthe ever-famous and reliable Connor.Â
You didnât mind him. Truly, you had no qualms about working with an android. Youâd much rather him than Detective Reed. He was a real piece of work. But, there were times when Connor could be a teensy bit unnerving, which was no fault of his. As far as you know, heâd only been made a few years ago. Â
Hank had even invited you and a few other detectives and uniformed officers to watch a basketball game. Connor had told you he nudged him to be social, and you distinctly remembered snickering quietly as you stood next to him, bringing the plastic cup of alcohol to your lips as you told Connor he was performing miracles.Â
So it wasnât like you were unfamiliar with Connor. Neither of you had worked a case together. There was a difference between casually watching a game of basketball and working on an attempted homicide case.
âYeah,â you slipped your eyes closed and peeled away from the window. âIâm just thinking. Sorry.â
âWhat are you apologising for?â Connor tilts his head. Looking all the more puppy-like.Â
You hesitated to answer him as you turned to face him. Would an android be able to understand the inner turmoil in your head at the moment? You doubted that they even had brain fog, or that their ability to be happy sometimes partially relied on the weather. The thought of even confessing this to him caused heat to rise to your cheeks and you shrugged it off. Â
âTaking my sweet ass time to think,â your muttering earns another head-tilt from the detective. âIt is a tough case,â he responds neutrally, âthe circumstances have meâŚbewildered.â
You scoff as your expression turns incredulous. Connor offers a gentle smile, his brown eyes as warm as ever as his knees shift to point your way in his seat. It escapes your mind that this man was capable of inhuman featsâ vaulting between the gaps of buildings, tanking bullets to his torso with minimal issues, being a walking forensics lab to name a fewâ and you loosen your grip on the steering wheel.Â
âThe evidence left was nearly nonexistent thanks to the rain. The victimâs in a coma, and the perp was careful. It was a methodically planned out crime. Iâm frustrated.âÂ
âYou donât show it,â your tone is lighthearted and Connor breathes out a laugh. âSorry, is that offensive?â you grimace, shoulders lifting.Â
âBecause Iâm an android?â Connor laughs again. He leans into the seat, posture still impeccable somehow, and shakes his head. âIâm not offended. It is something I have to work on. Hank says my dry humour isnât always appreciated. He suggests I have a sunnier disposition.â
âWhat? Like his?âÂ
Connor coughs into his fistâ you belatedly realise he had snickered and feel the brain fog slowly begin to fade away as you turn your car's ignition. The smooth rumbling and the radio announcer's voice blend seamlessly with Connor and your laughter.Â
âYou donât have to apologise for being thorough, detective. Itâs an admirable trait to have.â His reassurance should not have your heart picking up speed, but it does and you focus on the road before you instead. Your brain reminds you of every little road law that you had not thought about for years as the other vehicles on the roadâ including yoursâ fall into a monotonous routine.Â
âSo you admire me? Iâm honoured,â you jest. Connor knows youâre joking. But his gaze lingers on you, the darkening bags under your eyes, the grip on your steering wheel, and the way your heart rates slightly elevated despite simply driving. Connor is perceptive, he was made to be. He noticed just howâ for lack of a better wordâ funny your body acted when you were alone with him. At first, he assumed the rush of blood to your face and your slightly clammy palms indicated anxiety. All signs pointed that way.Â
But you carried on conversations with him as smoothly as ever. He wondered if you had a knack for acting, most people do in their own ways, but you werenât someone that was distrustful. He could hardly imagine you being deceitful. You were like he had said; admirable. Maybe a little clumsy at times, hard-headed too when you find a lead but Hank says thatâs normal for younger detectives.Â
âThe need to prove themselves, make a name in the precinct.â
Hank had told him. The human desire to leave a mark on the world, to be remembered. Connor could flood his entire brain with historical figures with a blink. Some more infamous than famous, some with their names used as a stand-in for another word even. So he knows thatâs a fact.
Heâs snapped out of his thoughts as you stop at a red-light. The pitter-patter of rain makes you squint at the warbling sight past the windshield. You pinch your brows tight, and Connor says something funny.Â
âIâm starving.âÂ
ââŚWhat?â
He points to a diner. The red and yellow colour scheme stands out brightly in the gloomy hues of the weather and Detroit smog. The place was less than desirable, and as Connor read through the reviews and health department ratings he found himself tightening his smile. Still, he urged you to park in the parking lot next to it because he was âstarving.â
You didnât want to offend him by asking what exactly he meant. Maybe heâd gotten a stomach upgrade or something to be able to fit in a bit better. Eating together was an important aspect in socializing after all. So you kept your questions to yourself, simply parking all the way in the back and unbuckling your seat belt. Only to stop when Connor places a hand on your shoulder. You stiffen, turning to face him with your eyes widened and your brows raised in question.
âHow long have you been awake, detective?âÂ
You sputter, your words barely tangible as your mouth gapes. Connorâs head-tilt this time seemed more like a honed police dog than a puppy, and you pressed your lips together.Â
âI donât know. I donât exactly count that down, yaâ know?â You motion your eyes between him and his hand. Connor reluctantly slips it away and folds them politely on his lap. You try to ignore the lingering feeling of his body warmth on you. Your brain was playing tricks on you, mocking you again for not having a supercomputer instead of a mass of flesh and short-circuiting neurons.Â
âI estimate 16-hours.âÂ
âWay to rub it in,â you thought bitterly. More so to yourself than Connor. But he catches the twinge of displeasure in your eyes.Â
âMaybe we should end our day early. Both of us are tired.â
âJesus, Connor. First, youâre starving and now youâre tired? Are you trying to take pity on me, or something?â
The anger in your voice is beginning to make itself known. Your lips curl as you hastily unbuckle yourself and practically swing your door open. Cold air rushes in, and so does rain, but you stubbornly soldier through.Â
âIâm a grown-ass man. I can take care of myself.â
The car shakes when you close your door and Connorâs reminded of Hank. Logically, there was no way every single detective heâd known could be suchâŚhardasses, but yet here he was with his own sample size. The thought of you sharing similarities to Hank causes him to scrunch his nose, as if tasting something sour, and he sighs softly. Connor rushes towards your grumpy figure, entering into the restaurant just a few steps behind you.Â
The servers glance Connorâs way, wary but trying their best not to show it. As long as they didnât commit any crimes in front of him, Connor would stay out of their way. Besides that, he had more pressing things to attend to. You, in particular. You find a quiet corner to sit at and Connor sits across from you, watching as you rub your hands together.Â
He wanted to ask if you were cold. But he shouldnât push his luck. Maybe he shouldâve been more tactful leading you here, but he wasnât unhappy that you werenât behind the wheel anymore. For a while, the ambience of the restaurant muffles the awkward silence. You reach for some of the tissues and wipe off as much water as you can from your jacket, and face.Â
Then, you push the box to Connor. He nods, then methodically wipes off as much water as he can. The peace offering was taken, so the silence was less thick this time.Â
âWhat can we get for you, man?â You give a tight smile to the waiter, telling him youâd like a warm cup of coffee. He tells you the coffee here is shit. Connor knows he isnât lyingâ the reviews didnât exactly hold back on them regarding that.Â
âShitty coffee is exactly what I need,â sarcasm drips from your words. You add on a sandwich with a side of fries and the waiter goes off to fulfill your order. Another bout of silence.Â
âIs the case keeping you awake?â Connor takes in the micro-expressions on your face. The twitch in your cheek, the tension between your brows, and when you brush your tongue over your lips his eyelids flutter.Â
âItâs frustrating. I know. But youâre one of the youngest detectives in our precinct for a reason, your recordâs impeccable.â You know heâs telling the truth, and using it as a way to comfort you. It was sweet, and you resist the urge to grin his way and say âthanksâ like some bright-eyed idiot.Â
âItâs not just that, Connor,â you knead at the nape of your neck. Barely straightening up when your shitty coffee arrives in a white mug. The smell and warmth loosens your shoulders, and even when you grimace as you take a gulp the comforting heat that travels through you further eases the tension from you.Â
You dismiss his reassurance. He takes note of it, but doesnât push. Connor slides the sugar your way and you squint your eyes up at him as your cheeks barely lift to give him a pursed-lip smile. You were exhausted. Itâs like the walk from the car to the diner sapped everything out of you.Â
âThe victimâs momâŚGod, she wasâŚâ
Connor knows. He saw her rush to you with tears streaming down her face as she begged for answers that you didnât have. Her daughter was in a coma from an attack, her stitches fresh and bruises discolouring her skinâ it would cause any parent distress.Â
âItâs been days of nothing. No trails, no motive, we have a shitty CCTV clip of him running out the door but then what? We owe it to her to find answers for her daughter.â
âI know, and we will bring him to justice. But, detective,â Connorâs voice turns severe as he searches for your gaze. âIt does no one no good if youâre sleep deprived. I need my partner to solve this case, so I need you to be 100%â
You scoff, ignoring the clink of the plate of food being put down your table as your sandwich arrives. Itâs suspiciously room temperature while the plate is warm, and the fries are a little limp but you just stare down at your coffee.Â
âYou donât exactly need me. I can barely think.â
âYes, that tends to happen when someone experiences sleep deprivation.âÂ
You curl your nose at him, and he just gestures to your plate of food. You take a few bites and with each of them your face twists into further confusion. Eventually, you settle on eating your fries, something Connor thought was the safest option. He tries not to stare at you too much, occasionally looking out the window and noticing the Raindrop Race as most people do during a storm.Â
There that puppy is again. Your eyes soften, and you grumble with your mouth still full of food. âSorry for being a dick.âÂ
Connor just chuckles.Â
âSorry, but Detective Andersonâs got you beat there. I didnât even notice you were being a dick.â
Connor canât drive. Something they were still pending on regarding androids driving personal vehicles. It was dumb, if androids were allowed to commandeer buses and aeroplanes then why couldnât they drive their own cars?Â
Heâs not happy with you buckling into the driverâs seat. But the shitty coffee wasnât worth a refill and you were in no mood to order anything else.Â
âYou should rest before you get behind the wheel, detective.â
You look over your shoulder and sigh. âThereâs a motel, but Iâm not shelling out 40 bucks for a 3-hour nap. Iâll beââ you yawn, and you try to speak through the yawn ââfineee. I just had a coffee anyway. Itâll kick in.â
When you reach for the gear, he places a hand over yours. Youâre always a bit surprised at how skin-like his touch was. Youâd seen him exchange information with other androids before, how the flesh just smooths away to reveal that pure-white shell. You didnât hate it though. He felt nicer than the cup of coffee. The weight of him, the feeling of the lines on his palms. Artificial or notâ it was still Connor.
He narrows his eyes. His head tilts. Connor leans in, and you donât lean away.Â
âIâve been meaning to ask you, detective. Do I make you nervous?â
âE-excuse me?â Your grip loosens, but Connor keeps your hand pinned beneath his. It was effortless; naturally, what with him being made of some sort of metal.Â
âYour heart rate rises, you get clammy palms, but your pupils they,â he trails off as he catches your gaze with his own. Curiosity was so clearly written across Connorâs face, you felt like he was attempting to read youâ as though you were some case file that he wanted to pour hours of attentiveness into. A steel-trap resolve to understand you more, to know your motives and intentions and grasp you in his arms.Â
If you were a criminal, maybe youâd feel much more frightened.Â
You tried to mask your expression, twisting your mouth into a frown.
âMy pupilsâŚwhat?â
âTheyâŚexpand.â Connor tilts his head, then his mouth parts like he came to a stunningly miraculous conclusion.Â
âDetective, do you perhaps have an infatuation towards me?âÂ
The radio plays a jaunty tune from decades ago, and the rain doesnât lighten up the slightest. You donât say anything. Stunned at your own stupidity for thinking Connor out of all people wouldnât have noticedâ the guy read your heart rate for fucks sake!
You try to slip your hand away from him, but he carefully cinches his fingers around your wrist.Â
âConnor,â you warn. Your voice coloured with embarrassment.Â
âPlease, Iâd like to know,â he sounded sincere. You wondered if he was morbidly curious about it. It wasnât that humans falling in love with androids were anything new, there were plenty of cases.Â
âIâŚshit, maybe I do have an infatuation with you, okay? Itâs not like thereâs a lot of options at our precinct,â you grumble as you finally slip your hand away from him. You place your hands on the steering wheel, but make no move to actually drive.Â
Connorâs lower lip almost juts out as he processes what you said. Then the corners of his mouth curl up, and he faces his knees your way again.Â
âYou had a process of elimination to determine whoâd be your precinct eye candy, detective?â
Your ears nearly turned red at the teasing tone he takes. You narrow your eyes at him, cursing for him to shut up as you reach for the gear again. But again, Connorâs hand grasps yours.Â
âAre you trying to fuck with me or something, Connor?âÂ
ââŚI could if itâd help you rest.â
âWhat?â
Connor offers that gentle smile again, then glances down at your hand in his. He smooths the pad of his thumb over your jutting knuckles, and he feels the rush of blood on the protruding vein.Â
âOrgasms are known to help with sleep.â
Your jaw drops.Â
âMy model doesnât have functioning genitalia, but I can still provideââ He flutters his lashes when you slap a hand over his mouth. Your brows are furrowed as you try to find the words.Â
âOh, Iâm sorry. Is the offer offensive to you, detective?â Connorâs voice is muffled from behind your hand but he continues.âI just assumed that it wouldâŚmy apologies.â
âI didnât even know you could talk about those sorts of thingsâŚâ You said in a breathless voice, stuck between feeling appalled and amused at the absurdity of it all. He tilts his head and you unmask his mouth, retreating into your seat again as you try to process his words.Â
âI amâŚâ he searches for the word, and you watch as he thinks. âFond of you, detective.â Fond wasnât a common word in these modern scenarios, and youâre unsure what he means exactly by it but you allow him to continue.Â
âAnd I would rather you be well-rested than not. I can helpâŚif youâd like me to.â You try to find any trace of bullshit on his face. You find none.
âChrist, you do this for every partner you have?â Connorâs face twists into genuine disgust at your lacklustre joke. âPlease donât even imply that with my relationship with Detective Anderson.âÂ
You grimace, and apologize as you knead at the back of your neck once again.Â
âDo you even know how toââ Connor smirks at you when you ask. You shut your mouth and scoff. Of course, even if he didnât know nowâŚhe could learn how with a few blinks.
âShow off.â
âWe all have our flaws.â
âShit, am I really going to spend 40 bucks for a nap and a lay?â You reach again for the gear and Connorâs had it. He reaches for your chin, pinching it between his thumb and pointer finger and he forces you to look at him.Â
âVisibilityâs low with the rain, detective. This diner isnât well-liked. Your window tint provides enough cover as is. You can rest in the backseat.â
âHoly shit,â you utter. A lazy roll of heat crawls down your spine at his assertiveness. Youâd never seen it aimed your way beforeâ maybe a few times towards Hank, and a few interrogations as well. But never at you. You gulped thickly, then nodded.Â
âOkay.â
Youâre both sitting side-by-side in the backseat. The rush of cold that flooded in from opening the car doors causes you to shiver, so Connor slides his hands into yours. He raise his body temperature and you sigh in relief. You turn when he gets closer and when your nose brushes against his own he pauses.Â
Youâre wide-eyed. So unlike the detective heâs known. Itâs adorable. Connor reaches and cups your cheek in his warm palm. Your breath stutters when he ghosts his fingers over the curve of your cold ears.Â
âMay I kiss you, detective? Studies show that foreplay can lead to a more pleasurableââ You press your lips together. His eyes widen a bit, but he then adjusts to accommodate.Â
Itâs unfair how good he is at kissing if this was his first kiss. You frown, and pull away as the thought crosses your mind.Â
âIs this your first kiss?â
âYes.âÂ
Connor pulls you in again and you gasp. He doesnât slip his eyes closed. He didnât want toâ though he knows it's what was expected. Connor was curious, and he wanted to make sure you were enjoying yourself. His attentive, thorough, partner deserved the same dedication in the bedroom. Connor could keep watch while he read through the case files, it wouldnât be any less productive.Â
You made a sweet noise when he experimentally bit down on your lower lip. He slips his hands into your jacket and slips it off your shoulders. His warm touch causes goose flesh to ripple under your clothes. Your flesh is so softâ heâs always marvelling at how soft humans are. So plush, and so fragile.Â
You flutter your eyes open when he trails his kisses down your chin, to your jaw, and after a sweet kiss under your jaw he descends to your neck. You crinkle his coat when he traces his tongue on your pulse.Â
âYour neck is sensitive,â he notes in a whisper. You slip his coat off next, your fingers crawling up to his nape and feeling the scratchy texture of his âshavedâ hairs. He grasps at your waist and you groan his name.
It stokes something within Connor.Â
âAm I doing good, detective?â You nod wordlessly against the junction of his neck and shoulder. Your body is louder than you areâ rising heart rate, the flushed ears, the perspiration on your skinâ and he finds himself a bit upset at it.
He calls out your name, and you turn your head to look at him questioningly.Â
âIâŚâ Connor pauses for a second. This word always felt foreign for Connor, but he should say what he means if he wanted this interaction to go well. Studies had shown open communication during intimate acts proved more positive results, and he didnât want the foundation of trust and infatuation between you to become shaky.Â
So he continues.Â
âI need to know if Iâm making you feel good.â
You press a kiss to his cheek, then to his lips as you nod again.Â
âYouâre making me feel really nice, Connor. Your hands are so warm, and as annoying as it is youâre a real good kisser.â
Connor preens inwardly, and his grip on your waist turns more confident.Â
âIâm sorry for being a good kisser,â he teases. You chuckle, brushing your teeth over his neck as you undo his tie. There was something fun about unwrapping Connor from his usually perfect shell. You canât deny the rush it gave you, and he returns the eager sentiment as he unbuttons your top.Â
You shoulder it off and he presses his kisses there too. His warm hands touch your bare torso and when it reaches your pebbling nipple, you bite down gently on his neck. Connor chuckles, tilting his head down at you as he nips at your collarbones.Â
âYou might break your teeth if you try any harder.âÂ
âWorth it.â
âAbsolutely not.â
You feel his hands reach to unzip your jeans and when he does, he pats your outer thigh. You look at him, panting while he motions for you to lay down. The second you do, he descends onto you like a heated and weighted blanket. A very handsome one.Â
Your eyelids go a bit heavy and Connor relishes at the signs of success. You shimmy out of your jeans, Connor helps.Â
Youâre now in your underwear and Connor zeroes in at the darkening spot on it. You curse, telling him not to stare but he remains fixated on it.Â
âYouâre aroused. Very aroused.âÂ
âIâm very aware, Connor,â you reply dryly.Â
He braces himself on his elbows, kissing you again and youâre struggling to keep up. You wrap your arms around his shoulders, his loosened tie dragging across your torso as his tongue battles for dominance. He reaches to place a palm against the window when he feels the seat under him giving away under his hand. It leaves a print, thanks to the panting youâre doing and him raising his body temperature.Â
You inhaled sharply when that same hand sneaks down your sides. Connor watches you as your brows furrow, your jaw loose as every little noise excites him more and more.Â
âDoes this feel good?â
He slips his hands in your underwear and you flutter your eyes open.Â
Connorâs eyes are hungry for your praise.Â
âTouch me more, Connor. Please.â
He finds your slicked hole. You moan as he presses his fingers on your cock, and begins to rub you off. You stretch your back, tossing your head back as your hips ground on the seats. Heâs entranced by itâ by you.Â
âFuuuck, that feels good.â
âForgive me, I didnât think to ask what terms youâd like to use for yourââ Connor is cut off by your wanton groan. âDick, cock, cunt,â you mutter against his lips before sneaking your tongue into his mouth again. He finally slips his eyes closed this time, focusing on your cock as he swallows your moans.Â
âYouâre too tense,â Connor tells you as he grasps the back of your neck. The carâs swaying slightly with the movement, and you mewl when he slides two fingers down to your cunt.Â
âI was going to cum,â you pant out. Connor narrows his eyes at you.Â
âLiar.â
He slides his fingers into you and you cover your mouth, thighs trying to snap shut around his hand if it werenât for him quickly slipping out again.Â
âHm,â Connor peels away from you and youâre left a bit confused until heâs maneuvering your body around like a puppet master. You find yourself on his lap and heâs gazing up at you as your underwear is looped around your left thigh. You looked like a desperate slutâ your button up still sleeved on your arms, your badge swaying between your bodies as your underwearâs rolled down, while your boots are still on.Â
But Connor?Â
With his loose tie and tousled brown hair. Pants still intact, and despite the crumpled shirt; he looked much more composed.
He holds your police badge, and then pulls you down for a kiss. Your bare cunts on his lap and he spreads your ass apart causing you to lift up.Â
âYou need to relax,â he whispers to your skin. âI can assure you that thereâs no one here, just us. No one can see us.â
âThisâŚThis is still illegal I think,â you laugh at it. Connor gives you a pointed look, groaning a bit as you giggle about it.Â
âMust you remind me?â Connor nearly grumbles. You press another kiss to his cheek, then to the tail of his eyebrows.Â
âMy bad, Mr Goody Two Shoesâ Ah! FuhâFuck!â
Heâs slipped two fingers in again, and you barely give any resistance to it. He presses a kiss to your shoulder, glancing out the window to ensure no one else can thisâ see you. So exposed on his lap, dishevelled and shivering in pleasure.
He presses a hand to the small of your back and it forces you to arch it further. He pumps his digits in and out of you. A slow pace that has you bunching his shirt in your fists as you mewl on top of him. He curls his fingers and you moan out his name.
That lick of fire within him grows bigger. Youâre sweating now, and he strokes up your spine to impede the race your droplets of sweat were in. Connor takes your nipple in his mouth and you brace a hand on the roof of your car.Â
You tighten around him, hips jerking and brushing your dripping dick onto the front of his pants. Marking him with your slick.Â
âYouâreâ Youâre making meâ Iâm going toââ
Connor looks up at you through his lashes, his expression puppy-like and you cum around his fingers.Â
He releases your nipple with a lewd âpwahâ and reluctantly snaps the string of saliva that connects him to you with a sweep of his tongue. You try to catch your breath, swaying slightly as the aftershocks of your orgasm lazily wash over you.Â
You fall forward into him and Connor wraps his arms around you, smiling a bit as he feels your breathing slowing down until youâre limp across him.Â
He darts his eyes to his fingers, spreading two of them apart and admiring the traces of you still there. Connor brings them to his lips and into his mouth.Â
Then he decided at that moment, he wanted to taste more of you.Â
